Okay, so my assignment for my C class is to generate a program that will allow the user to enter data for a stock and calculate the amount of stocks that ended up being positive, negative, and neutral.I tried to do this using one stock, here is my code;
#define _CRT_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS
#include <iostream>
#include <stdio.h>
#include <math.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
Code:
void main()
{
float Neg;
float incst;
float shrs;
float bpps;
float crnt;
float crntcst;
float yrfes;
float pft;
float tpft;
}

I'm looking for a way to enter an unlimited amount of types in the <> part of a template function, I found Variadic templates but I'm not sure if it can do it, all the examples I've found are similar to the C argument list and don't use the <> part of the template at all.
I tried this, but the overload is ambiguous?
#include <iostream>
#include <typeinfo>
template<typename T>
void stuff() {
std::cout << typeid(T).name() << "
[Code] ....

I'm trying to make a program that allows the user to input an arbitrary amount of numbers and finding the largest of all the inputs but I keep having problems with the output.
javascript:tx('
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
//******************************************
//CLASS COMPARATOR
//******************************************
class comparator {
public:
comparator();
[Code] .....
And regardless of what numbers I enter, I always get the output of 10. Also I got the EOF idea from my textbook so if there is a better way of doing this I'd like to hear it. I don't know any clear ways that looks nice to end the while loop when the user doesn't have any more numbers to enter.

Say I want to leave a program running and it stops when I press F9 for instance, I'm looking for something like (and note this is just a generalization).
#include blah
using namespace std;
/wait 2 hours
/key.press = F9
return 0;

I'm currently working on a program to take the user's input as DDDD.CC and then converting it to the least amount of coins using quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies. I was told to not use any doubles or floats as they would produce errors. And supposed to the use the library function atoi() after I take the input user's amount as a string to convert it into an integer.
So far the string input has worked and it produced the right number of quarters but it leaves off the cents. For example, I put in 352.23 and it gives the right amount of quarters but leaves off the 23 cents.here's my code:
#include <iostream> // Allows the program to perform input and output
#include <stdlib.h> // Atoi
#include <string>
using namespace std ; // Enables a program to use all the names in any Standard C++ header
int main() // Start of program execution {
string line ;
[code]....

Write a program that will input the amount of chairs sold for each style. It will print the total dollar sales of each style as well as the total sales of all chairs in fixed point notation with two decimal places.
The program runs fine I am just have problems with the output. I have tried a few different methods for the fixed point notation, but I am getting results like 324.5 rather than 324.50?
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
//Declares variables for chairs
float americanColonial;
float modern;
float frenchClassical;

I am trying to make a program that will allow a user to enter their name, from this point, three options should be present for the user to choose, then from that point, two more options should be present. I have if else statements in a switch case and I get the "undeclared" error for the a in the first " if(specificage == a) ".
NOTE: I use Code::Blocks.
Here is the code:
Code:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <string.h>
int main(){
char name[50];
char ageclass[50];
char specificage[50];

I'm trying to end my program when the user presses the enter/return key.
I'm trying to do this with a break statement.
I have two different situations, one when it is a string, and the other one when it is a char.
for (int i = 0; i < 80; ++i)
{
string s;
cin >> s;
if (s == "
")
break;
S.PushStack(s);
}
I'm doing the same thing for char just replacing string with char.
I'm not sure what I am doing wrong but pressing enter does not end the program.

I want to create a program where you enter today's date, in the following format: 02/04/2013. As well as your birth date in the following format: 27/09/1994. After doing that I want to assign the day, month and year of the present date, as well as the day, month and year of the birth date in to their own variables (for example, Day, Month, Year), and then calculate your age.
I have tried doing this with cin.get(), but this method is way too long, and I'm looking for a shorter method

Write a C++ program that asks the user to enter an even number only. If the user enters an odd number the program should use input validation to ask the user to enter another number.
- The user can enter as many numbers as he wants
- The program should also keep a count of how many numbers entered and display how many odd and even numbers entered.

When I input the password, the Backspace and the Enter keys are not working as they should. Also, I want to know if I can press enter only once to input the password, not twice.
Compiler is Turbo C++ 3.0 on Windows 7.

You enter decimal number into the program and what base you want. The integer part of the decimal is being handled fine, but the decimal is not.
For example, I enter 15.6847 and base 10, which means I'm going from base 10 to base 10. It spits out 68469999999999 for the decimal part. (Do not worry about the first block of numbers. The second block seperated from the first by a space is where the decimal will appear in order.)
#include <iostream>
#include <string>
#include <math.h>
using namespace std;
int baseConverter(int, int, int *, int *);
[Code] ....

My assignment is : Please use C type strings ( array representation of strings). Write a program that will ask the user to enter a string. It will then regard that string as a worked-on string and allow the user to perform the following editing functions on it:
s – search
i – insert
a – append
d – delete
a – append
d – delete
r – replace
e – exit
s – search
This option will allow the user to search for a specified string in the worked-on string. If the string is
found, it will display the starting index (position) of the searched string in the worked-on string.
here is what i have so far.
#include <iostream>
#include <cstring>

int main() {
char a_string[80];

I'm trying to create a program that allows the user to enter an unknown number of income and expense amounts. The program has to us see a while loop and display the income total, expense total, and total profit or loss. I've got it really close, but I'm doing the loop wrong. double incomeTotal=0;
