I managed to upload a file to a remote server with below code:
Code: // Get the object used to communicate with the server. FtpWebRequest request = (FtpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("ftp://kasunl.worlditsme.com/voo.txt"); request.Method = WebRequestMethods.Ftp.UploadFile;
I have added sql browser & sql server in fire wall, and also enabled tcp port 1433 and udp port 1434. the above connection string works perfect when i run it in the server machine, but whenIi try to run it on other machines I am getting an error that server is not available or cannot find the specified server.. I desperately need to access my database through an url. ie., through internet..
I have 2 database. One is on live server and the other on local desktop.
User can make changes in database offline on local desktop.
But later he wants to move his changes to live server and also get the updates done on live server by other users. How can this be accomplished? What algorithm can be applied?
And then the Calculator is shown in domainuser1 desktop, but the process is running in domainuser2 account.
When running Spy++ (either wither domainuser1 or domainuser2) to view the calculator window, the Windoe Proc field is shown 'Unavailable' I also try to call GetWindowLong against this window, it will always returns NULL.
I am just wondering if it is possible to retrieve the Window Proc of the window running in a process of another account, is is possible?
I was wondering if i had to say simply retrieve data from a server whether it be simple plain text for variables or download whole files (FTP), what would be the best method for this? I would imagine there is a pretty big difference between retrieving text and downloading files but im just wondering what the best thing would be to research for both.
This is a winsock program designed to prompt the user to enter a domain name. The program is then supposed to return to the user a resolved ip address of that domain name. The user should also be able to enter an IP address and receive back a domain name.
While the program prompts the user to enter the domain name, all that is ever returned is error#:0
HTML Code: // Declare and initialize variables #include <winsock2.h> #include <ws2tcpip.h> #include <stdio.h> #include <windows.h> #pragma comment(lib, "ws2_32.lib") #include <iostream> int main(int argc, char **argv) { hostent* remoteHost;
I have a file on one server(Windows 2003) and need to access from another server (IIS server - Windows 2008) , I have written the program for the same which works fine and I can access the file.
But when this comes to the DLL (which registered successfully on Windows 2008), its not able to find the file on Windows 2003.
I have a CFormView derived window which I would like to position at run time. In particular when the user clicks a button I would like to shfit the CFormView window and open up a new Dialog window so that the two do not overlap.
I have created the CFormView window and the dialog window - how to shfit the CFormView window?
I shift the Dialog window as follows in OnInitDialog: SetWindowPos(NULL, 0, 0, 0, 0, SWP_NOSIZE | SWP_NOZORDER);
I'm struggling with the pan gesture in a desktop application for my Surface Pro 2.
I simply want to pan (or "swipe" if you prefer) with two fingers, but it doesn't behave like I want it to. If I put two fingers on the screen and move them straight diagonally, I receive a series of client coordinates that are aligned in a vertical or horizontal direction. Only if I perform some circular motion, then it's suddenly possible to move diagonally and receive coordinates accordingly.
I've tried with MFC, by overriding CView::OnGesturePan. I've also tried with a sample project provided by Intel, that handles the GID_PAN message in WndProc to move a rectangle around, but with the very same result. The project can be downloaded from [URL] ... fordesktop.zip, so you can quickly reproduce the behaviour if you have a touch screen.
I first thought it had to do with the points being too close to each other. I mean, if two points lies only one pixel apart, it can only result in eight different directions. But if I modify the code to only update "m_first" when the distance between the points are greater than some minimum distance, the points still keep being projected to a horizontal or vertical line relative to the first starting point.
I used to retrieve IP and NIC information by querying windows registry. Now I'm trying to use GetAdapterAddresses() API. Using GetAdapterAddresses() to get IP is not that easy, I need to dig a long deep as I check some examples so far, anyways my question is: Calling this API will return success on all versions of Windows ie: 32bits & 64bits ?
Though Microsoft has not opened any source, where this API is actually retrieving Windows IP information.?. Is it reading Registry or some windows file.
When I use SHBrowseForFolder I can retrieve a PIDL of the selected folder and with this PIDL I can get the path with SHGetPathFromIDList.
Now, given a path to a folder, I want to retrieve its PIDL. How can I do it? I tried SHParseDisplayName() but seems that function is unsupported in VC++ 6.0
I have used the following code to attempt to place a binary array into and then retrieve from the Registry. I am a member of the local Administrator group. I have verified that the Registry for the app has a binary array 32 bytes in length under the key "settings" / "keyb" ab 12 cd ...
Code: // in header unsigned char m_key[32]; int m_nKeySize; // in implementation // int ctor AfxGetApp()->GetProfileBinary(_T("settings"), _T("keyb"), (LPBYTE*)&m_key, (UINT*)&m_nKeySize); // in OnDestroy AfxGetApp()->WriteProfileBinary(_T("settings"), _T("keyb"), (LPBYTE)&m_key, m_nKeySize );
Here is a copy of the binary array in the Registry:
7D DE 2B 30 E7 06 12 AC 99 60 8C 26 21 FC 8E 5B 66 DB 72 9E A2 00 BE 15 E1 8B 67 31 E5 EC 8B 15
Here is the binary key retrieved from the Registry using the code above:
D0 EB 26 00 CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC CC
I would like to know in which way is the best to make ActiveX control for video. ActiveX control will need at least show picture and be able to go back in past, change resulation of picture and similar. How complex it is to do something like that? Is MFC best way to make it? Is there somewhere similar code?
Trying to get table indexes information in SQL Server 2012 I identified a strange situation for one scenarion.I have a table that contains two indexes referenced to some fields: Field_1 and Field_3 mapped over int, null columns (the number means the existing field order into the table designed few years ago...).
I am trying to get information about these indexes like this:
Becasuse SQLExtendedFetch() is deprecated I used SQLFetchScroll() but the behavior is the same from my interest point of view.
Usally, I get the right information about indexes but in one situation I encounte a strange behavior. It's about having a clustered index into a scenario. When Field_1 is Non-Unique, Non-Clustered and Field_3 is Clusted index I get the right information.
But if the index Field_1 is Clustered and the Field_3 is Non-Unique, Non-Clustered I get no information about Field_1 index (eg. szIdxName and szIdxColName are "" and their length is -1 that means SQL_NULL_DATA). So, I have no Index information. Within while loop, with the next iteration I get correct information about the second index Field_3.
I'm not sure whether the problem is with SQLStatistics, the bindings or SQLFetchScroll (they all always return SQL_SUCCESS). It looks like a problem with the driver when the first index is clustered.
Is it possible to create a virtual mini server (like IIS) that takes http request? I have a toolbar that queries an DLL using http request, and then that DLL stores some arguments in some XML file, which is read by an anti-malware.
Now every customer can't have an IIS server installed. Most of the end users uses Windows XP home edition. So is there a way i can create a virtual mini server that can be used in these PCs for placing http request?
I am starting to learn C, its quite an easy language to learn from the basics, I hope to learn others as time goes, I wonna know how do I get the external / remote IP of a computer?
I'm looking for a way to run my console app in C# on one computer, but the actual program is ran on another computer. IE I open the file or hit "Run" in Visual Studio on computer1, the computer2 runs the program. I was looking online and found some stuff that may be applicable, but I didn't see a very clear answer.
i need to create an small windows form, with some buttons, and then those buttons will "exectute" an action on a remote webserver.
Im searching with http requestings and didn't find nothing useful for what i need.
The basic thing is that i just need to press "EXECUTE" and then c# will press one link in the Webserver. I do not need any feedback from the page. I just need that C# execute a link like localhost/startbackup.php then the actions from the startbackup.php will run.
I do not need any information regarding if the page was successful executed or not, or even if it opens one window. Nothing.
My problem is that I've created a Client and Server program in which they communicate. The Client is an SDL Application that allows you to play as a movable character IF YOU ARE CONNECTED TO THE SERVER. If not, You're unable to play. THIS WORKS!
However, Only one client is able to play on my server?? Anyone elses' window freezes and they are not allowed to play (As if not connected to the server). Here is my server code.
