C++ :: Calculate Number Of Days Between Dates - Program Continuously Runs
Mar 24, 2014
I have an assignment to write a program that will calculate the number of days between two dates (including leap years). We have to read the data from a file and in my current input file I have:
for testing purposes. When I run the program the console runs continuously spouting out "The days between your two dates are 1097." Which would be the correct output for the last set of dates entered, but I need to find out where I've messed up in my main.
#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
using namespace std;
bool isLeap(int x) {
if (x % 400 == 0) {
I have a code that calculates the number of days between dates. It considers leap years and different days among months. The problem I have is when i debug the code nothing comes out.
Here is the code. #include<iostream> #include<fstream> using namespace std; bool wheep(); int daysinmonth(); bool wheep(int yr) { if (yr % 400 == 0)
I want to compare dates of first week of every year input by user to determine that what was the day on 02/01/1998 compare to 02/01/2014, or 04/01/2001 compare to 04/01/2003.
I want to compare from 01/01/1997 , 07/01/2014.
For example user enter first date 04/01/2002 and other date 04/01/2003, then the program show that there was tuesday on 04/01/2002 and monday on 04/01/2003.
I need to make a program to calculate the business days (Monday-Friday) in a year in C. As example:
Input 2026 Output 261
I need to consider that the year could be a leap year and that every year can start with a different day. My Problem is that i dont know how to implement the right number of business days in C. I wrote down the business days in Excel for 2010-2040. I cant see any system behind it, some years have 261 business days, some have 260 or 262 but in no order.
The problem is that I need to figure out the user's birthday in months, days, hours, and minutes from today's date.
Here's what I have so far.
#include<iostream> #include<cmath> #include<ctime> using namespace std; int main() { int todayDay, todayMonth, todayYear; int birthDay, birthMonth, birthYear;
[Code] ....
I haven't initialized all the variables, yet. And it's very unfinished. I need to figure out how to convert years from the age into months only. And I need to figure out how to calculate the hours, seconds, and minutes.
I'va create a c program that scans the web from a root it works on mypc but dont works on another pc of my friend.I have created this project with Visual Studio 2013 disabling extension to obtain standard ansi c project.
I write this program to print the number of days for the month when the year and the month enters. This is not giving any result and i think that problem is with calling functions.
#include<iostream> #include<conio.h> #include<string> using namespace std; int leap_year(int year); string days(string mounth); string feb(string fab1); void main(){ int year;
The code is supposed to display the total and averages of the data as well, but cuts off due to an error in the code. The code should also:
1)Print checks for all employees, one per page, sorted by lastname. The first check number, 100, is to be read from a company data file (see requirement 4). The border of each check is important and should not be omitted.
2)Convert the net pay to a text string for each check printed.
3)Print a reference code on each check. The reference code is obtained by combining the first letter of the lastname with all the consonants remaining after removing all vowels (a,e,i,o,u).
4)Use the same employee data found in assignment 2. Use company data, obtained from a text file, for each check printed:
I want to create a welcome text header during the program runs. I wanna keep it at the top while the program is running (like asking for input@ showing output).
EG: ----- WELCOME ----- //Stay until end of the program // output/input. "WELCOME" stay at the top
I have an interesting (and incredibly frustrating) problem where my application runs fine, but ONLY when a debugger is attached to it.
I can build in both Debug or Release and double clicking the execuable causes it to crash before the window is drawn. However if I launch from the IDE (VS2010), again in both Debug or Release mode, the application runs perfectly fine.
How to debug in this situation.
I am using VS2010 in Windows 7, C++ with MFC. This is an application which has been migrated from VC++ 6 to VS2010. Note, it works perfectly when built from VC++ 6.
So I have to write a program to calculate a grade letter into a number.
Letter grades are A, B, C, D, and F, possibly followed by + or –. Their numeric values are 4, 3, 2, 1, and 0. There is no F+ or F–. A + increases the numeric value by 0.3, a – decreases it by 0.3. If the letter grade is illegal (such as "Z"), then your output should be "INVALID LETTER GRADE"; If the combination is illegal (such as "A+" or "F-") then your output should be "INVALID GRADE COMBINATION"
Also the code should look like this Enter your letter grade: C+ Grade value is [2.3]
// Input cout << "Enter your letter grade: "; string s; cin >> s;
Can not even say this is the error as it is giving me 45 errors. l am writing code which accept employee type based on calculating the miles traveled in a year,my code is based on type of employee, number of vacation days used and no of sick days used.
#include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <conio.h> class employee { int emp_type; float emp_vacation;
Create a class to store a value that represents number of hours worked and number of days worked. Must ensure that the two representations are always consistent. I have to create 2 files, I'm pretty sure: a .cpp and a .h
This is what I have so far for my .h file (I know it's NOT functional...yet):
#include <iostream> using namespace std; class NumDays { private: double hours; double days;
[Code] ...
I don't know how to start / create this .cpp file to define the variables.
I am trying to code and compile a program that requests a uses to first inpu the number of sides they wish for a dice to have and secondly input the number of dice throws they would like to calculate the value for. The program will print an error message and default the number of sides the dice has to 5 if the number entered is below 4. Finally it will print out a percentage figure for each value that results from all the the dice rolls.
I have attached my header, driver and class files below along with accompanying error messages below them
// file name Exercise.cpp #include <iostream> #include "Die.h" using namespace std; int main() // the main program begins here { char restart = 'y'; // declare variables double numRolls = 0.0; int diceTot = 0;
I am in a computer science class at LSU and i can not figure out how to writhe this program. The program must let the user input (MM/DD/YYYY) and then output what day that date was on and also if it was a leap year or not.
So I have a template, part of a larger code, that is designed to calculate the number of multiplications it took to reach a certain number. The problem is, whenever I execute the program, mults is always printing out a strange number, perhaps its actual address.
template <class T> T power3(T x, unsigned int n, unsigned int& mults) { if (n == 0) return 1; if (n == 1) return x; if (n == 2){
I created a program to display time continuously so it auto updates every sec but the issue is i cant integrate the code in the main program because to make time update continuously it needs a loop a infinite loop so none of the rest program gets to work. My q is : is it possible to display time continuously and make the rest of program continue normally? like a multi thread program because i want to display time every sec in the bottom of program. By the way this is console app not gui
The situation is , I have a ball which should move on a flat horizontal surface which i have created in a display of 800 x 400 . Right now!I am able to make it move left or right in direction using key inputs at a fixed speed.
But I want to make it move horizontally at a constant velocity without using keys. Like in copter game.
It should be able to move automatically , towards the right side.
Increment x position by speed variable does the trick but When I used it with keys I used to limit the movement like.
ball.x += ball.speed; if(ball.x > 750) ball.x = 750; // because my screen width is 800.
[URL] .... < this video will show what I really want to do with the ball
If you saw the game video in the link i gave, the ball kept moving with constant velocity. But it never went out of bound. What is keeping it from not getting out of display screen. Instead! its moving continuously... but stays almost at the center of screen. How?
This code works, but not fully This code reads com ports, when a string is available, I check to see if it contains some keywords defined in array If it does, i print out the string itself.
The problem i am having is that it seems to stop processing the data at some point but I do know that there are more strings to be read. So, it does keep reading more lines of data
using System; using System.Text; using System.Collections.Generic;
My question is how the button click mull ti times on page load in C# windows form??because in my project i am working on video for LAN based Skype in which i use 2 pictures boxes one for capture images and another for display .. so i want that on page load picture box capture images until i stop it .. following is my code :
I need to write a C++ program, that extracts certain variables, x y z, from a file that is continuously being updated x y z. These variables are going to be used to recalculate a new answer.
My question is to see if it is possible to have an include .h file that is always being updated so that I can extract these three variables from it, and always have the newest venison of each variable, so that the answer to the equation is always the newest updated. Should I use fopen or fwrite to do this.
