In the main window I draw lots of background stuff using a memoryDC and BitBlt(). In the child window, I actually am not drawing anything, I just created it to have events like mouse over, etc. In the child window when the mouse is over the window I bring up a pop-up window. This works unless my mouse is over any parts where something is drawn in the main window, then the popup just flickers constantly. Why is the main window affecting my mouse over events if I am not handling any such events for it?
I am writing a program which is using SDL library. I have two different classes which one of them is Timer Class and the other is EventHandling Class.
I need to use some member functions and variables of Timer in some Eventhandling Class member functions, Although I want to define an object of Timer in int main {} and relate it to its member function that has been used in Eventhandling member function in order that it becomes easier to handle it, I mean that I want to have for example two objects of timer and two objects of Eventhandling class for two different users.
I do not know how to relate an object of a class from int main{} to its member function which is being used in another class member function.
I'm trying to implement keyboard controls to move a sphere(Player) with respond to keypress. Currently, when I press any key my character will move to the right by 0.1. How can I move my character with w(up),a(left),s(down),d(right) in their respective directions using respond to keypress?
Code: class Player { private: double x, y; public: Player(double a, double b){x=a;y=b;} void respondtokeypress(char a)
i've a function to add many buttons to TabbedPanel like is visible here
public void AddBeverageDrinkstoTabbedPanel(TabPage tp1, ListBox lst1) { food getbeverage = new food(); string[] bev_product = getbeverage.name1; FlowLayoutPanel flp1 = new FlowLayoutPanel(); flp1.Dock = DockStyle.Fill; foreach (string value in bev_product)
[code].....
What happens? When i click in any button, want add an specific text to listbox and to do this i builded an method called beverageclick(), with these code:
public void beverageclick(object sender, EventArgs e) { Button b = (Button)sender;//button sender string value = (string)b.Tag;// value = b.tag (tag of sended button tag = value (value of AddBeverageDrinkstoTabbedPanel) method)
[Code] ....
What is wrong? how can i add an specific value when an button was clicked.
I'm having trouble finishing this program. What I'm trying to do is create a class for Rational numbers. Get input from user for denominator and numerator. Store the numbers without a sign, and for the sign store it separately in char. I'm not supposed to use accessor functions. The part that I can't seem to know how to do is use the info that was stored in the addUp function. This function need to add two rational numbers. i need to make this function general enough that it can handle two fractions, or a fraction and a whole number, or two whole numbers. What I already have here is readin function which reads in the numerator and denominator. setnumerator and setdenominator to assign positive values. setsign should get the sign of the fraction. Finally addUp should addUp which I explained before. I have some ideas about writing the tests, but can't seem to know how to implement it to the program. The main program is still empty but all I'm supposed to do there is call the class functions.
Code: #include <iostream> using namespace std; class Rational { private: int numerator, denominator; char sign;
Can not even say this is the error as it is giving me 45 errors. l am writing code which accept employee type based on calculating the miles traveled in a year,my code is based on type of employee, number of vacation days used and no of sick days used.
#include <iostream> #include <iomanip> #include <conio.h> class employee { int emp_type; float emp_vacation;
I have a function where i declared the number of elements in a vector alocated dynamically which returns the vector to the main function. The problem is how can i find the number of elements in main function? I tried length = sizeof(a) / sizeof(int) which gives me the same value, the value of the first element. Here's the code:
int* functie2 (void) { int* p; int c,i; printf("number of elements: "); scanf("%d",&c);
[Code]...
I know i could first read the value of c in main and then pass it thorugh parameter, but how can i do it the other way arround?I could also send the value of c allocating one more int value to the vector, but i don't want doing so.
I have struggled to send email from my MFC applications using severl methods:
1) http via my server - works but limited 2) M$ Outlook automation - works but not easily interchangeable between machines 3) Windows Sockets - available information simply too complicated 4) Purchase an ActiveX control - I hate black box solutions and am too cheap
I have looked at P. J. Naughter's class CPJNSMTPConnection v2.99 An MFC class to encapsulate the SMTP protocol [URL]
This approach requires the implementation of OpenSSL which turns out to be nothing short of a nightmare to install (so I never got it to run). I am looking for an example of an application that utilizes SMTP via Windows sockets api.
I have found the following article to be a very excellent run through on how to use Outlook automation with C++ in Visual Studio 2010. However, I cannot find any description of how to add an attachment(s) to an email.
How to automate Outlook 2010 by using C++ in Visual Studio 2010 together with MFC
I have a problem in a c++ project. I have created a .dll file and hooked to an .exe
I want this .dll to make a ping or to send a message like hello somewhere, and IF ping or message doesn't receive an answer that's means the user has suspended-terminated this dll from the exe then the exe will close. How can i do that?
We are coding a Blackjack/21 game. I have a Deck.cpp class, Deck.h, Play.cpp (holds Main), and Card.h (holds card struct). I also have a Hand class/header, but I'm not using it yet. This is what is required per instructor.I am having issues accessing the functions that are in my Deck class. I have tried a few other means to access the class's function, but I've already gotten rid of those. These three are my latest attempts with the specific errors in the comment on the line the error was happening. ve.
Here is my Deck.h
#pragma once #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <string> #include <cstdlib> #include <ctime> #include <iomanip> #include "Card.h" #include "Hand.h" using namespace std; class Deck
I am writing a program where all work is done in the class methods. Main is used to call the methods. I need to know how to get a loop to work without any variables in main that can be used outside the methods. This is what I have in main:
#include <iostream> #include <string> using namespace std; #include "FerryBoat.h" int main() { //create a constructor for a ferry boat FerryBoat myBoat('B', 20, 'A');
I'm trying to pass the value of an object created from a class file to a function outside of the "Int Main" function in the main.cpp file. I've successfully created the object, I just want to pass it to a void function but I'm getting the scope error below. I'm not sure how to correct. I'm not having much luck with research either (static variables?).
I am writing an MFC app in Visual Studio 2012 that will open a JPG file as binary and read all the contents to a CString.
I am able to read it to a std::Vector, but that doesn't work much as i need to pass all the binary content as a MFC CString to another function.
More Update:
Let me explain the problem a little more deeper.
I am trying to call a JavaScript (JS) function in a HTML page and then want to pass the binary date. The C++ function that calls the JS is given below.
The 1st argument is the JS Function Name and 2nd is the one to pass the Binary Data. 1st argument works fine as i am able to call the JS fucntion called "LoadImage" without any problem. Problem is with 2nd argument that's supposed to take the Binary data of the JPG file.
If i try to pass a std::Vector or std::string then it will give me an error.
But it's happy if i pass CString. But then with CString there's a problem with NULL characters.
Actually my plan is to pass the binary of a JPG to a JS function and let it display the JPG in the HTML page.
Can i typecast a Vector or std::string to a CComVariant*?
I know if i will not use the pointer base class function "virtual double grossPay" will be called for both base class object and derived class object and when i will use pointer with reference to the object because base class function is virtual it will look for same function in derived class and if available it will execute it.
I am a beginner with C++, taking a class right now. The lab this week is to create a user defined class and have it accesses in a separate .h header file from the main.
I think I'm finding my way through it, but I'm getting a complie error that makes no sense to me:
I know how to define a shape (here, a rectangle) and attach it to a window in C++ as follows:
Code: #include <Simple_window.h> void cir() { Circle c(Point(100,100),50); } int main() { Simple_window win(Point(100,100),600,400, "test");
[Code] ....
But how to define a shape (say a circle by that cir() function which is) outside of the main() function that is how to create a circle inside of the cir() function and it returns that circle when I called it in my main() function so that I can attach it on the window win to be visible?
I have been playing around with property sheets/property pages and have been successful in getting them to work in a secondary dialog by calling the property sheet using DoModal().
How to get the property sheet to display on the main dialog of a dialog application.
I am using VS2008 and CMFCPropertySheet and CMFCPropertyPage.
Is it possible to use a CFormView as the main view without using document support. IE pointing CWinApps m_pMainWnd to the CFrameWnd derived MainFrame and attaching the CFormView from there. It does not seem to be working and I was wondering before I waste any more time on the solution if it is even possible. I know it is an easy solution if I create a true SDI application however I have no use for documents in this application.
