Visual C++ :: Create A File That Ask The User To Enter His Info

What I want to do is create a file that will ask the user to enter his info,n then store it in a text file The screen will ask the user if he wants to update his info. if he says yes then the screen will be cleared and the old info will be printed on the screen. The user will enter his new info that will be stored in a new file. My problem is that once the user finishes entering his input the program just closes D: and the rest of the program won't run.

I have a program that uses class functions to enter and print out info. The problem is with the second function answers(). Here is the whole cpp file. How can I create in my C++ program so a user can paste a text and then choose a character on specific line and place?. The above thing isn't that important. I just want to place a character on a specific line and place.
I mean something like this:
Enter a character:

On which line do want the character?

I am trying to write a program that ask the user to enter a sentence and then a word to be searched for in the sentence. Actually the below program is for Dispersal Algorithm called Rabin-IDA; this algorithm divided the data into N pieces and then recombine it from M pieces (such that M<N).
Thus, the below program needs command line arguments,which entering by Project properties/Debugging. this argument is file name, where the program performing spitted the file into N files, and then recombine it from M divided files, and put it on another file which should also passing its name as argument .

I can tons of information by calling DeviceIoControl (such as device ID, device description, whether it's connected or not) since I couldn't do it all with WMI. But I haven't figured out how to get from DeviceIoControl the info that a call to WMI's Win32_PortConnector gets. Are there any calls, directly to DeviceIoControl or something else that for a given device ID or device description would get the PortConnector information?
I would have used a combination of Win32_PortConnector and DeviceIoControl calls but the trouble with PortConnector is that it doesn't provide any information that would allow one to figure out which device ID it belongs to. Why do I need to do this? Because I'd like to get a combination of all the information the two methods provide for a given device such as a USB port, and all I'm getting from Win32_PortConnector is these scant few fields with no other clue:
I am trying to write up something to have a user to enter a four digit number. Only four digits, Ex: 0001, 0116, or 9999. There is no getting around the selection 0001 or 0002. I understand if not done correctly, the first three 0's will be ignored.

At the moment it just waits if you enter less than six numbers and if you enter any more than 6 it just ignores anything after the sixth number (so pretty much does nothing). Also if I entered 1 2 a b 3 4 instead of entering six numbers it would register that as 1 2 0 0 3 4 but I want it to make the user input the numbers again. I'm also aware that "while (1>0)" isn't good programming form but I'm not really sure what to use instead?

Enter as many numbers as you want as long as the user doesn't type 'e' to exit.
Problem: When I enter a number, it works fine, but if I enter e then it'll go in an infinite loop since the letter is being stored in an int variable. How can I (when I press 'e') make it convert to a char to make it end the program?

Our class has just started c++ and we have not learned arrays and classes yet, so I'm guessing there is a way to do this without it? Or no?
