Visual C++ :: Adding To Pro File (QT)

Jun 4, 2013

I created a new project in Qt Creator, the files included are the .Pro file, and the .Cpp file.

Qt does not recognize the headers I try to reference in the .Cpp file. I am pretty sure it's because of what I don't have in my .Pro file. What do I add to it?

.Cpp

Code:
#include <QApplication> ->No such File or Directory
#include <QPushButton> ->No such File or Directory
#include <QHBoxLayout> ->No such File or Directory
int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {
QApplication app(argc, argv);
QWidget *window = new QWidget;

[Code] ....

.Pro

Code:
SOURCES +=
MainWindow.cpp

Visual C++ :: Adding Header And Lib Files At Runtime?

Feb 4, 2013

I was created a dynamic library (Used win32 App) & compiled with no error.

Then i was created my main application (MFC) & paste the .h,.lib,.dll files from the source path(dll App Path) to destination path(Main App Path). If i used the below command in my app means the project working good.

Code:
#include "Alg.h"
#Progma Command(lib, "VTAlg.lib")
& also paste the VTAlg.dll in my app path.

here Alg.h contains the some methods , In future i will edit the function like below for my client requirement but no function name & Arguments change. The changes made in inside function(Logically changed) only.

My client contains only .exe file + .dll file.

My requirement, So after change the method i will send only .dll file to my client

If i change my lib file name VTAlg2.lib instead of VTAlg1.lib (But Same Function name & Arg type)means how can i edit the code below

Code:
#include "Alg.h"
#Progma Command(lib, "VTAlg.lib")

& How to run my application at client place.

Visual C++ :: Adding MFCToolBar To The Header Of MFCPropertySheet?

Nov 5, 2013

Is it possible to add a MFCToolBar to the header of a MFCPropertySheet because every page which will be dynamically added during runtime will be using the same toolbar and if it IS possible I would much rather do it this way instead of putting the same toolbar on every page. I have enabled the header with height of 48 and have implemented the MFCToolBar code first in the constructor then in OnCreate. It does not generate any errors during compiling or at runtime however the toolbar does not show.

Visual C++ :: Adding Rational Number Using Only Class Functions

Feb 22, 2015

I'm having trouble finishing this program. What I'm trying to do is create a class for Rational numbers. Get input from user for denominator and numerator. Store the numbers without a sign, and for the sign store it separately in char. I'm not supposed to use accessor functions. The part that I can't seem to know how to do is use the info that was stored in the addUp function. This function need to add two rational numbers. i need to make this function general enough that it can handle two fractions, or a fraction and a whole number, or two whole numbers. What I already have here is readin function which reads in the numerator and denominator. setnumerator and setdenominator to assign positive values. setsign should get the sign of the fraction. Finally addUp should addUp which I explained before. I have some ideas about writing the tests, but can't seem to know how to implement it to the program. The main program is still empty but all I'm supposed to do there is call the class functions.

Code:
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
class Rational {
private:
int numerator, denominator;
char sign;

C :: Reading Data From A File And Adding Them To A List

Jun 1, 2014

I've been trying to write my homework assignment (a list of countries, their codes and their capitals) and I've done most of it but I'm stuck at this: I have to open a file, read it and if there are data, add them to the list. So far I've created an element of the structure, queue list, printed the list on the screen and freed the memory. I thought that for reading the file and adding the data I could first open the file (of course) with fopen and after that use a for loop (i=0;i=!EOF;i++) to scan the whole file and fscanf(fp,"%s",result->country),etc in the loop to add the data to the structure of the element and finally insert that element to the queue list. However, when I try to do these operations, I only get to writing the name of the file and the program crashes.

Code:
#include<stdio.h>
#include<stdlib.h>
#include<string.h>

struct List {
char country[20];
char code[5];
char capital[20];
struct List*next;

C :: Array Of Structs (adding / Deleting Elements To A File)

Sep 20, 2013

I want to write a program to record my neighborhoods's name and address by using an array of structs and file.

my array of structs is

Code:
#define SIZE 30
typedef struct{
char name[30];
char address[100];
}Detail;
Detail neighbor[SIZE];

And I want to make adding,deleting, and searching functions.Something like

Code:

void add();//Add name and address to a file,
//and add more to the same file if I want to.
void del();//Delete or Change some neighbor's name or address
//in the same file(Can I?)
void search();//Search name and show detail

So I started to code adding function first, but I don't know that I need to use pointer to code each functions relations, and I don't know how to check that my input's already exists yet. But I started some code below...

Code:
void add() {
int i=0;
FILE *fp = fopen("neighborhood.txt", "at");
if ( fp != NULL ) {
do{

C++ :: Filling Vector From A File - Adding Empty Element At The End

Apr 20, 2014

I'm having a problem filling a vector from a file. Basically, it is adding an empty element at the end. I'm new to Qt and haven't worked with file streams much so how to stop the stream before it adds the extra element.

void gui::get_data() {
mileage.clear();
QFile file(file_label->text() + ".txt");
QTextStream in(& file);
float m;
float g;
QString d;

[Code] ....

But, if I add another element to the vector and write that the file look like this.

//file after adding element
132654 0 02132014
132654 0 02132014
0 0
132998 22 02202014

I have it set to append at the moment so that is why the first line is repeated. I figure the problem is with if(in.atEnd()). I could fix it by deleting the last element right after adding it, but that seems like more of a hack than anything else.

C++ :: Application Will Not Start After Adding Extra Object File To Project

Aug 18, 2013

I'm working on a cross-platform threading project, the aim is to start 1 worker-thread that has a queue of worker-items which are serviced by the thread.

The threading framework works fine, both under Windows and LINUX, albeit as designed under Windows, and in a modified form under LINUX.

I have this CSnmpTrapd class which is designed as a worker-item for the worker-thread, it listens for incoming SNMP traps and decodes the packets, this is implemented in csnmptrapd.cpp and csnmptrapd.hpp.

1) When I add this piece of code to my makefile and re-compile the app successful... the app will start (or not?) but generates no console or file logging as is expected, it will not even show printf() output which was added as first statement in main(). My app handles CTRL-C to terminate and this works !?!? But I'm actually not sure my app works at that point.

2) When I compile the app without csnmptrapd.cpp and start it, it will generate console and logging output and behave as expected.

3) When I add the CSnmpTrapd class implementation to an existing cpp file in the project, it will compile and run as expected... the worker-thread handles the CSnmpTrapd worker-item as it should, incoming SNMP traps are captured and decoded, logging generated

Visual C++ :: CFileDialog Saves File In Project File - Not Specified File

Apr 12, 2013

I'm very new to MFC & VisualC++. I'm using MSVS2010 Pro. I am trying to write/debug a simple form that saves and restores the content of some edit controls. It seems to work as expected, except the file saves only to the Project Folder, regardless of where I browse and select to save the file.

Code:
void CMFC_FileDialogDlg::OnBnClickedbtnsave() {
this->UpdateData();
CFile f;
//Kinda Correct, Works but still saves in Project Folder
BOOL b_OpenFileDialog = FALSE;//this doesn't act as bool in CFileDialog?

[Code] ....

My only experience is a little simple VB programming in Excel, so any specific examples??? Also, rules seem to change from version to version? I have to "update" a number of undocumented programs.
