C++ :: Possible To Use Data Type Double Or Float For Array?

Can you use data type double or float for an array? ie
double n[];
or
float a;
float m[a];
My code wont accept me changing the data type..will on accept int data type. I get the following error when I try to change the array to double or float..
3310E:C++vector.cpp[Error] invalid types 'double [1000][double]' for array subscript
I need to create a main function with a one dimension dynamic array with float data type. The total number of array elements must be controlled by a user input from the keyboard. Test data is three different lengths 3,6,9 of the array. The lengths have to be set up at run time from users input. I understand how to create dynamic array but not where the user inputs the length of the array. How would I implement this?

Well I understand the part it cannot store infinite numbers. but if you take a look at the output for example (since it is too long i just added some of the outputs)

if you look carefully at the value "5" and "10" results. it is awkwardly abnormal. which is something i couldnt understand. also it is the same with value "20", "25", "40", "50" and so on.
So I have a double array, where I'm inputting float numbers to certain points in an array. Sometimes, the numbers that are printed out are completely different from what I put in.Here is the part of the code:

Why the float num prints out fine, but when put into an array becomes garbage?I'm taking string values from a csv file and turning them into floats, but no problems seem to crop up there.I reset i when appropriate and increment j when needed, so I don't think my problems are from incorrect array values (though they might be)
I want a code that can convert floating/double value into string/char array(char arr[]) and also it can be run on Boreland C++ 5.02

myFIle << fixed << setprecision(10) << double;
The problem i got is that when a numer is like 193123.2 it prints like 193123.200000..., so finally, ¿how can i print it with any additional 0 that i need?.

he problem is that when I print out the three sums at the end of the program I dont get any decimal points but just zeros like something.00 instead of something.50 etc
I have an assignment where I need to read in a phone number into any array and I can't use the string data type. Assuming I need to use the getline function, how do I do this? I'm guessing it's with the cstring or .c_str() functions? I don't know.

The following code compiles and runs fine till it reaches line 16 and gets a sigsev violation which I'm not sure about as to why. I have no problem passing the object of type node** into the constructor of base and storing it into the double pointer node** copy;; but when I call the function void pass(node** temp) it crashes.

I need to write a function that will merge the content of two sorted arrays of type double values. The function should not assume that both its input parameter arrays are the same length.

I have to convert string to double. i'm using "atof" function to achieve same.
I have string as "0.0409434228722337" and i'm converting with "atof" But i'm getting double value as "0.040943422872233702". Why it adds 02 additionally at the end?
More example :
"0.0409434228722337" converts to "0.040943422872233702" "0.067187778121134" converts to "0.067187778121133995"
Is there any other possibility to convert string to double without changing data ?
I'm having some problems with changing an array of numbers of type char to type int. Every time i try to sum 2 array indexed values it returns some letter or symbol. Also, if i change the type of the array in the functions the compiler gives me an error message. I would also like to add that the problem requires that the first two arrays be char so each individual number gets assigned to a different value.

I am parsing a binary data file by casting a buffer to a struct. It seems to work really well apart from this one double which is always being accessed two bytes off, despite being in the correct place.
If I attempt to print GROSS using printf("%f", row->GROSS) I get 0.0000. However, if I change the type of GROSS to char[8] and then use the following code, I am presented with the correct number...
