C :: Function Not Sending Back Values

Nov 4, 2013

I am trying to get all these functions work together and send the value of countX and countY back into main from function2() and function3() to be used by function4() later on.. But I keep getting 0 printed out and I am not quite sure why.

Code:

#include<stdio.h>
#include<stdlib.h>
#include<time.h>
#define maxrow 20 //defines maxrow as a constant of 20
#define maxcol 30 //defines maxcol as a constant of 30
}

C++ :: Loop Program To Go Back Without Losing Values Of Variables?

Mar 30, 2014

I know that returning to main() is not a good idea but how will I loop the program to go back to the position selection when the voter is done voting for the last position.

when I run the program it seems fine. getting the votes from President to PRO Position is fine. The problem is how will the next voter vote without losing the vote (tally) of the previous voter?

FLOW:
SELECT POSITION (a-e) ---> SELECT A CANDIDATE (a-c) ---> (this goes on until the position of PRO) ---> ( then go back to the POSITION SELECTION)

After every vote there is a case statement for which I can choose to vote for the next position, quit, or show results (and after showing the results it will go to the next position to vote)....

#include<iostream>
#include<string>
#include <conio.h>
using namespace std;
int pca=0,pcb=0,pcc=0,ptv=0;

C++ :: Calling Function By Sending Char Text Of Function Name

Is this possible?

int myfunc( int a, int b, char * c )
char a = "(int)myfunc()";
char b = "(int,int,char*)"
call(a, b, ...) // Function name and return type, params

I want to do function what registers forward what will get callback if the time is right. Basically then i dont need to edit and add extra functions into source files. I just have to include header and use register forward function. If there is anything close to this it would be perfect!

C :: How To Loop Back To The Beginning Of Function

Oct 11, 2014

I am writing another program and I cannot find for the life of me how to loop the program back to the start of a function.

Code:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
int main(void) {
int choice;
char band1, band2, band3, band4;
printf ("This program calculates the resistor value based on the colours of the wire.
(enter the integer near the command)
");
printf ("What would you like to do?

[Code].....

This is my current iteration of the program. Obviously, I haven't finished writing the case 1 of the first switch, but for the other ones. I thought that return main would cause the program to loop back to the beginning after executing the case, but I see that it is not the case (pun not intended). Anyways, what would I have to insert to cause the program to loop again (other than for case 3)? And another question, why is it that in scanf in the first case, the program only accepts two characters before finishing?

C++ :: Function With 3 Arguments - Bring Back New Number Generated With Replacement

Oct 26, 2014

Write a function that takes 3 arguments. The function has to bring back a new number that has been generated with the replacement of the figure that is on a given position in the number with a figure that is been transferred as an argument(have in mind that the position of the figure is being counted from right to left,starting from one). Write a main program in which the newly formed numbers will be printed for numbers of a range written by the user.

Example: if you wrote the numbers 2276,3 and 5 the function should bring back the number 2576

If you didn't understand the text, the example shows that in the number 2276, the number has been counted from right to left by the second argument "3" and in the place of the figure "2" has been put the figure "5".

This is where I got stuck, I can't figure out how to make the replacement.

int argument(int x,int y,int z) {
return 0;
} int main() {
int a,b,c;
printf("Enter a value for a(100-999):");
scanf("%d",&a);

C++ :: Pass 2 Arrays Into Void Function And Return Values To One Function?

Feb 12, 2014

I'm trying to pass 2 arrays into a void funtion, and return values to one function.

this is the the program I'm working with, after I'm done I have to split it into 3 files, a header, a main, and a separate cpp file for the functions to live in.

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
void processArrary(int numberCount[], int Numbers[], int intnumberSize, int numberCountSize);
int main() {
int Scores[26] = {76, 89, 150, 135, 200, 76, 12, 100, 150, 28, 178, 189, 167, 200, 175, 150, 87, 99, 129, 149, 176, 200, 87, 35, 157, 189};
int numberCount[8] = { 0 };

[code]...

The goal of this program is to separate and count the groups of numbers then output the amount of numbers in each group. Near as I can tell, everthing should work, but I'm getting all zeros to be displayed in each group.

C :: Sending A Packet Over Sockets

Oct 30, 2013

I have a socket connection already set up, my thing is what would be the best way to send a packet through sockets? My teacher wants us to convert the packet to bits first before we send it. I think he wants something like this:

Code:
struct packet{

int header
int message
int flag

}clientpacket; m

My question is how do we covert this to bits, before sending it. One of my friends said we can create a char[] array the size of the struct as a buffer. will memcpy() change the struct to bits if I copy it to the buffer?

this is how is suppose to look in bits for the header field/column.

Field : header
Field size(bits): 8
data format: Unsigned int
value example: 1
Value in bits: 0000 0001

I am confused, I think I send a structure over the socket but I did not convert it to bits before I sent it .

int main() {
string a;
int howManyTimes;
cin >> a;
cin >> howManyTimes;
//user enters "pizza"
for(int i = 0; i < howManyTimes; i++) {

C++ :: Template Of Sending Text

Mar 1, 2013

I am writing some code to send text to a third part software. Basically each sending looks like this:

p << "set terminal eps
";
p << "set output '07.eps'
";
p << "plot '-' using ($1 == 0 ? NaN : $1) with lines linecolor 2 title 'comparison ratio',
'-' using ($1 == 0 ? NaN : $1) with lines title 'comparison ratio'
";
p.send(TOex_ar).send(TOnew_ar);
p << "set terminal wxt 7
";
p << "plot '-' using ($1 == 0 ? NaN : $1) with lines linecolor 2 title 'comparison ratio',
'-' using ($1 == 0 ? NaN : $1) with lines title 'comparison ratio'
";
p.send(TOex_ar).send(TOnew_ar);

Each time I have to change the number "07" and "7";decide to add or not the following parts: "using ($1 == 0 ? NaN : $1)", "with lines", "linecolor 2";and write the title 'comparison ratio' and the name of data to send "TOex_ar" and "TOnew_ar".Since I have to do this kind of thing 50 times in my code, and it is in the form of text, I am wondering whether in C++ we can write a template or function to simplify the program, just to input the changing parts.

C# :: Sending X-AMF Type Packets

Jan 10, 2015

create BOT that adds friends on one of Chat websites.

Im using C#

On website there is a button that adds user to friends

<li class="friend"><a href="javascript:void(0)">Add Friend</a></li>

I captured packet that is sended to server then that button is clicked

POST (info hided)/amfgateway.php HTTP/1.1Host: (info hided)
Connection: keep-alive
Content-Length: 52

[Code].....

It apears that this is AMF(Action Message Format) type packet Content-Type: application/x-amf it is in binary and this complicates things a little because I cannot send it with regular httpwebreqeuest class(Or I think so)

I used Fiddler4 with AMF plugin to check what data was passed with that packet

It apears that these numbers under content / 0 are User-id that is needed to add user to friends

I did a research with little success finding any usefull examples. I just found that there is a library for FLEX/FLASH remoting called fluorinefx and this should do the job but when I opened documentation it seems little too complex for me.

For ex
Code: int nValue(int& y){
y++;

or int& nVlaue(int y){

C :: Passing Values To A Function Error

Apr 29, 2014

I'm working through the Let us C book. One exercise asks me to collect int and float , then pass them to a function that gets product of these and returns it to main. My code looks like this:

Code:

#include <stdio.h>#include <stdlib.h>
main()
{
int a;
float b, c;

[Code]...

So while compiling i get an error about conflicting types for product. I tried to google that error but couldn't understand what's the problem. My only clue is that i can't pass int and float to a function at the same time... Could that be it?
