If I include the last line of code here I get a stack overflow error. If I don't include it, I can run through the debugger and the buffer CString is converted to hex just like I want, I just can't display it because I get that error.
I need to edit ,update and display a group of 40 parameters on screen. (10 parameters per page and use of Arrow Key pad or touch screen clicks to modify value)....
For that I will need .. Parameter No . , String Name , Point Screen Cord , double value , next element no. etc I have my old code with structure and array of structure written in C. I have translated it on C++/MFC .
Is it possible to edit the message map at startup instead of just having it set at compile time?
I'm reading some values from an XML file at startup. The menu options will be determined from what I find in there. But I need to assign those menu options to the message map.
I have a tabbed dialog with a couple of Separate dialogs. I created classes of CDialog for each dialog. Im trying to get the text from the edit control from the tabbed dialog and it appears in a message box when I press a button on the main dialog.
Code: myDialog test; test.UpdateData(TRUE); CString bla = test.m_edit1; test.UpdateData(FALSE); MessageBox(bla,bla,MB_OK);
The m_edit is a variable of CString for the edit box
it gives me a error and crashes.
How do I get the text from the other dialogs edit control?
Found an online suggestion of using an rc2 file and cut and paste stuff from .rc file to .rc2 file to see which line causes the problem but don't know how to create a blank .rc2 file. Problem started after I ported from VC++ 6 to VS2010.
I have a dialog box with several edit control boxes and I want to identify the edit control when I click the left mouse button on it. Any button action (up or down) doesn;t register when the mouse is clicked on any of the edit controls. There has got to be a simple way to do this.
I need to write a function that displays the days of a specified month. I have been looking for sample code but haven't had much luck. Here are the guidelines for the function:
Write a void function named displayCalendarDays. This function is passed two input parameters. The first parameter is an int that represents the start day. Start days are numbered from 0 to 6 with 0 representing Sunday and 6 representing Saturday. The second parameter is an int that represents the number of days in the month. If the start day is not in the range 0 to 6 or if the number of days is not in the range 1 to 31, the program should display useful error message instead of displaying a calendar. If the parameters are OK, the program should display a calendar similar to the following:
Used some online code example to put a little project to display raw image. The display does not seem to work.For some purposes, I like this to work with a dialog based MFC project.XDVView is derived from CScrollView.
See OnInitDialog() and OnDraw(CDC* pDC).8bit 768x756
I haven't seen this before but on Windows 7 Home Professional and VC 2012 in one particular app, a CFileDialog displays only the rightmost 11 characters plus the extension of the default file name. The rest of the name is there and you can scroll left in the file name edit to display it all, but initially the text is shifted left so it doesn't all display.
I'm currently making a math program in c++ windows form application. I'm trying to make it so where the user presses the number button I such as 1 button to display a 1 in my textbox.
I am having a strange problem trying to display a dialog from a UI thread. The dialog simply fails to display. I have a function DisplayFlashBox(), which creates the UI thread:
CUIThread* CIMUIHelper:: DisplayFlashBox(const CString &sMessage, const int nInstrumentUID) { CUIThread *pThread = new CUIThread(); pThread->SetString(sMessage); pThread->SetInstrumentUID(nInstrumentUID); pThread->CreateThread();
[Code] .....
The dialog doesn't display. When I tried debugging, I found the OnInitDialog() method of CIMFlashBox class doesn't actually return. Very strange. I tried calling the DoModal() method instead of Create, but doesn't display the dialog either.
I have migrated my MFC application from Visual Studio 6 to VS2010. But the UI controls still looks the same as of old theme. How can i add the manifest file now to get the UI controls to be displayed as of the current OS theme. i.e. Win7 look if the application is run on windows 7.
1.Create one 2-dimensional array. The array will consist of numbers from 1 to 10. And will also contain the number in words. Display the values of the 2-dimensional array.
Sample output: 1 - One 2 - Two 3 - Three
Paste the program code here:
2.Create a program that will accept two integer numbers. These integer numbers will be the limit of the multiplication table. Store the values in a two dimensional array.
Sample output: Enter x: 3 Enter y: 2 123 246
Paste the program code here:
3. Determine the output produced by the following program segment.
int ROWS = 3; int COLS = 4; int [ ] [ ] val = {{8,16,9, 52},{3,15,27,6},{14,25,2,10}}; for (int i=0; i < ROWS; i++) { for (int j= 0; j<COLS; j++) System.out.print (val [i][j] + " " ); System.out.println (); }
looking for a simple LED type control for Visual Studio 2008. I just need a control that I can add to the toolbox where I can pass a parameter to define the colour. This is an MFC based application. how to add a new control to the toolbox. I have been programming in 'C' for many years but find some of the IDE's confusing as to how to do things (as above)
I want to display my image on window without saving it.
When data is received window size changes but there is no display on window.
My Code is:
Code:
int iBufferLength; int iEnd; int iSpaceRemaining; int i; iBufferLength = iSpaceRemaining = sizeof(chIncomingDataBuffer); iEnd = 0; iSpaceRemaining -= iEnd;
I followed a tutorial to load a bitmap from file and convert it to a array of bytes to access it directly. Now to display the bitmap on screen do I have to convert it to a HBITMAP or can I display it from the array of bytes?
Also the program I am building is a calendar program and I need to know if I can manipulate the bitmaps pixels in the byte array (e.g change color and resize image)
I haven't seen it anywhere and I've been looking. Is it possible to display data, say in a CEdit field in a dialog as soon as the dialog starts? Either before or after DoModal is fine.. These are essentially the same.
Using Visual Studio 2013 - trial version. It's nice. Coming from VC6. Many things are familiar (so far), at least in the C++ part.
I need to create a TCP/IP program using visual studios MFC that displays all client's IP addresses that are connected to the client.
The MFC application just has a list box and a button. The client can be a simple console application. When the button is clicked, the list box gets populated with all ip addresses of connected clients.
I'm attaching a project that demonstrates the issue. I need to display a context menu with anti-aliased bitmaps. I wrote my own method to convert an icon into a bitmap (see the CreatePARGBBitmapFromIcon() method) but the resulting bitmap seems to lose all anti-aliasing when displayed in a menu. What is interesting is that the same bitmap is displayed without any issues in a CStatic 'stPic1' control (the one in the middle.) The visual artifact also seems to be different on different OS. Take a look at the screenshots attached.
I want to display data from text file in list view and in tree view root will be file name, but i dont know how to do it, the problem is with displaying text file data in list view, i don't know anything about that. text file data is very simple. It is just a square matrix of double values like:
I am writing a program to display values from a data file as an image. But I can only get a blue screen. Here is a small program resembling my code. what I have missed? I only changed OnDraw function.
