Visual C++ :: Unable To Pass Arguments To DLL Function

Nov 17, 2014

I have some trouble with DLL. I created a dll with function

double square(const double * args)

and then in my application defines

typedef double (*MyFunct)(const double *args);

I use LoadLibrary and GetProcAddress to get the function address and cast it to MyFunct. Everything works fine except that when I pass a double *, for example 0x08800350, to the DLL function, the argument becomes totally something else, for example, 0x0aa00460.

I have no clue what happens to the argument value.

C++ :: Unable To Pass Reference Of Object Ifstream To Constructor

Jan 30, 2013

I'm trying to pass an reference of the object ifstream to my constructor as such:

// myClass.cpp
int main(){
ifstream file;
myClass classobj = myClass(file);}

I am defining the constructor as follows, in myClass.cpp:

myClass::myClass(ifstream &file){
// do stuff
}

I get the error of "No overloaded function of myClass::myClass matches the specified type."

Also, when I build the program, it tells me "syntax error: identifier 'ifstream'"

Also, I made sure I included this:
#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <sstream>

What am I doing wrong? How can I pass an ifstream reference to my constructor?

C++ :: Pass 2 Arrays Into Void Function And Return Values To One Function?

Feb 12, 2014

I'm trying to pass 2 arrays into a void funtion, and return values to one function.

this is the the program I'm working with, after I'm done I have to split it into 3 files, a header, a main, and a separate cpp file for the functions to live in.

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
void processArrary(int numberCount[], int Numbers[], int intnumberSize, int numberCountSize);
int main() {
int Scores[26] = {76, 89, 150, 135, 200, 76, 12, 100, 150, 28, 178, 189, 167, 200, 175, 150, 87, 99, 129, 149, 176, 200, 87, 35, 157, 189};
int numberCount[8] = { 0 };

[code]...

The goal of this program is to separate and count the groups of numbers then output the amount of numbers in each group. Near as I can tell, everthing should work, but I'm getting all zeros to be displayed in each group.

Visual C++ :: Unable To Display Dialog In UI Thread

Visual C++ :: Unable To Append Data To CFile Using FILE

I'm trying to append data to a CFile using FILE* But when execute the application, it always give error saying "No such file or directory". I can actually see the file created but it just keep giving error "No such file or directory".

Is the file being lock or the file just created so it can not be find by fstream(FILE*)? or the file mode is wrong?

Below is the code:

[QUOTE]
void SaveDocument(CString strFile) {
CFile file;
if( !file.Open(strFile, CFile::modeCreate | CFile::modeWrite | CFile::shareDenyNone)) {
CArchive ar(&file, CArchive::store);
// save now.
MyClass.Serialise(ar);

[Code]...

Attached is the printscreen of the FILE* pointer. the pointer is evaluated as bad pointer. Why the FILE* pointer not able point to the file being created?

Visual C++ :: Unable To Iterate Over A Vector In Nested For-Loop

Jan 20, 2014

So I have this problem with not being able to iterate over a vector in a nested for-loop. Here's the nested for-loop:

bool innerHit = false;
for (std::vector<Sprite*>::iterator outerIter = sprites.begin(); outerIter != sprites.end() && (!sprites.empty()); outerIter++) {
Sprite* spriteOne = *outerIter;
for (std::vector<Sprite*>::reverse_iterator innerIter = sprites.rbegin(); innerIter != sprites.rend() && (!sprites.empty()); innerIter++) {
Sprite* spriteTwo = *innerIter;

[Code] .....

What happens is, after having called the collisionDestroy-function and the program tries to execute the nest loop in the outer for-loop, it all crashes with the text "Expression: vector iterator not decrementable", which I understand is because the iterator will have already become useless. The question is: know this, how do I fix it? I can't seem to get a hang of it.

Here's the collisionDestroy-function (the collisionReaction does nothing but sets a few local variables):

void Enemy::collisionDestroy(std::vector<Sprite*>& sprites) {
for (std::vector<Sprite*>::iterator iter = sprites.begin(); iter != sprites.end(); iter++) {
Enemy* tmp = dynamic_cast<Enemy*>(*iter);
if (this == tmp && collisionType == 3 || collisionType == 1) {
sprites.erase(iter);
break;
}
}
}

Visual C++ :: Command Line Arguments To The Linker?

Sep 15, 2012

Code:

/** Add a feature to a (mutable) LV2 feature array. */
static inline void
suil_add_feature(LV2_Feature*** features,
unsigned* n,
const char* uri,
void* data) {
for (unsigned i = 0; i < *n && (*features)[i]; ++i) {
if (!strcmp((*features)[i]->URI, uri)) {

[Code] ....

suil_add_feature is used to add features to an existing array of pointers to type LV2_Feature. Initially, the array gets searched to see if the feature already exists. If it doesn't, the existing array gets increased by one element which then gets initialized to the new LV2_Feature value. Resizing is done using realloc()

I'm having a problem when I build a Debug version. The first 5 times I call suil_add_feature() realloc() ends up calling _realloc_dbg() (in dbgheap.c) and everything works fine. But on the sixth call, realloc() calls _realloc_base() (in realloc.c) which brings everything crashing down. I assume that _realloc_base() is intended for the normal (non-debug heap). So this particular app is somehow linking to both the debug and non-debug runtime modules.

If I was building using the VS IDE I could probably figure this out - but although my compiler is MSVC, my build environment is waf, which I'm a bit unfamiliar with. I'm guessing I need to add some lines to my waf script to let it know that it shuld ignore the non-debug runtime libraries when building a Debug version.

Can I achieve this by adding /NODEFAULTLIB to the linker options or is it more complicated than that?
