Visual C++ :: Linear Program For Matrices - System Cannot Find Path Specified

Dec 8, 2012

I have two pieces of code:

Code:
#include <cmath>;
#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <cstdlib>
#include <string>
#include <iomanip>

[Code] ....

I am using the gnu glpk library to calculate a linear program for my matrices. Why I get the error message exit code 3 which apparently means "The system cannot find the path specified"?

Feb 16, 2014

In my C++ program, lets call it menu.exe, I want the user to be able to run a specific program when selecting a specific menu, let's call this program cios.exe.

As the users of my program can have the cios.exe installed in any folder location, I need a way to first locate where the cios.exe is located and then start it with ShellExecute. My problem is : How do I find the path to where cios.exe is located in anyones PC as it can be installed it any folder location.

C++ :: Solving Linear System Of Equations Using Threads

Dec 14, 2014

I am trying to write a code that solves a system of linear equations such as A*B=C. My system has a dimension equal to 1600. The matrix A cab be separated into 4 sub matrices and each can be handled by a different thread. I tried to solve this using the following code:

int main() {
int count = 0;
//Inputing matrix A
ifstream matrix;
matrix.open("example.txt");

[Code] ....

Although the above code gives the correct answer, the time needs to find the solution is bigger than that needed without using threads.

C++ :: Dijkstra's Algorithm - Find Shortest Path In A Dense Graph

Apr 19, 2012

Code that finds a shortest path in a dense graph, using Dijkstra's algorithm in the simple array version. You write a function

struct listnode shortest path(int n, int s, int t, int *dist)
with
struct listnode f struct listnode * next; int vertexnumber; g ;

Being used to return the list of vertices on the shortest path. Your function has the following arguments:

- n: the number of vertices of the graph,
- s: the start vertex,
- t: the target vertex
- dist: the matrix of edgelengths.

The vertices are numbered from 0 to n -1, so s and t are numbers in that range. dist is a pointer to the n * n matrix of edgelengths; vertices which are not connected will be joined by an edge of length 9999. To access the array element dist[i][j], we can use *(dist + i*n + j). Your function should return the list of vertices on the shortest path from s to t, starting with s and ending with t.

I just purchased Visual C++ 2010 Ultimate, to start my coding experience. Whenever I try to debug, it gives me this error:

It can't find the .exe file, I even Googled it, and tried a few things, without any luck.

C/C++ :: System Cannot Find The File Specified

I can't debug anything and get an error whenever I try. Being able to release a program to run it works sometimes, but it's hit or miss. I've created a very simple program to show the problem. The error on the screen is a result of me trying to debug, but I actually received the same error when trying to release as well.

Jun 24, 2013

The program adds 2 matrices that are 3x3 using arrays and then stores them into another matrix (array) and then it's edited to show a diagonal line of "0" through it, btw I'm pretty new to programming....

insert
Code:
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
int x[3][3],y[3][3],c[3][3],i,j;
cout<<"Enter your numbers"<<endl;

[Code] .....

It works almost just fine lol, Except that the first portion of the diagonal line does not become zero and instead displays the normal addition result.....

The one in RadAsm3 will activate a current Explorer window if the current path is the same as the one requested.
All others open a new Explorer window.

I would like to implement the RadAsm3 approach using Visual Studio 2013 Community c++ as my host compiler for testing.

I tried to get the title of current windows but it appears ShellExecute "explore" does not produce a conventional window???

Visual C++ :: Puzzle Game - Implement A Way To Save Board State Throughout User Inputted Path

Mar 16, 2013

I've been trying to figure out how to implement a way to save this board state throughout a user's inputted path. At the end, I need the output to print out the board states (user's path) of how he or she got the puzzle solved. This puzzle is the 15 Puzzle; but we have it to change by the user's input on what size they want to play (3x3 to 5x5). How to save the board state of each user input, then print those out in order from beginning to solved puzzle state. Subsequently, I would also need transferring the board state to change with using a vector to store the size based on user input. How to proceed, using a first search to solve the puzzle from the current board's state.

calculations.h

Code:
/*Calculations set as a header to keep compiling simple and faster*/

#ifndef calculations
#define calculations
int solved[5][5];
void initialize(int board[][5], int);
void slide(int board[][5],int move,int);
bool isBoardSolved(int board[][5],int);

Visual C++ :: InitiateSystemShutdownEx Hangs System

May 2, 2013

So using InitiateSystemShutdownEx causes a Win32 machine to go log off go to the shutdown screen and just sit there displaying shutting down with the working indicator just spinning. I left the machine sitting there for an hour and it never shut down. This works fine on all the Win7 x64 machines we are using but the one 32 bit Win7 machine has this problem and it occurs no matter what parameters I pass.

Code:
HANDLE hToken;
TOKEN_PRIVILEGES tkp;
// Get a token for this process.
if (!OpenProcessToken(GetCurrentProcess(),
TOKEN_ADJUST_PRIVILEGES | TOKEN_QUERY, &hToken))
return false ;
// Get the LUID for the shutdown privilege.
LookupPrivilegeValue(NULL, SE_SHUTDOWN_NAME,
&tkp.Privileges[0].Luid);

[code]....

This is working fine on Win7 x64 but not on the one Win7 32 system we have and like I said it starts the shutdown process just never finishes.
