Nov 29, 2010I have a tcp client - server implementation running in the same program, on different background worker threads. There will be instances of this program on multiple computers so they can send and receive files between each other. I can send files sequentially between computers using network stream, but how would I send multiple files at the same time from computer A to B.
Sending multiple files over one connection ( socket ) is fine, but having multiple network streams sending data to a client, the client doesn't know which chunk of data is apart of which file ?

Aug 30, 2012We are using the DownloadFile method of the WebClient class to download artwork via URLs for purchase orders, this works well for the most part, but hangs with certain file types. We never have problems with .pdf files, but .ai files (Illustrator) just hang with 0 bytes being downloaded, and then eventually times out after the default 60 seconds. Any similar activity while downloading files with the WebClient class? The files that are being downloaded are hosted on the same server, in the same directory.

C++ :: Code To Read 2D Array From TXT File
Apr 11, 2013So the premise of my code is to read in a 2d array from a .txt. The array is a game board but the first two lines are what determine the size of the board. After i read it in i want it to find wherever te character "U" is, and then display the array but only showing U and whats around it. Problem is i cant get the array to print the right size and the code for displaying the U is not working either.

I'm trying read just some values from ICO file:
- the 3rd value is in 4th-1 position(number of icons); (See the table: [URL] .... )
- the with is the (numberoficons*16) + 4 (the 16 is the Entries structure size) position;
- the height is the (numberoficons*16) + 4 + 4 (the 16 is the Entries structure size) position.

I have first tried running the program without using struct and declaring the variables within the main program and it runs fine. But after using struct, it gives no compilation error and a segmentation fault as output. Also, if the size of file/variable size is unknown can I declare variables as char string[]??

Apr 11, 2015I am trying to read data from more than one file at once. The files are different types e.g. one is a text file one is an xml file like so, StudentInformation.txt, CollegeInformation.xml. The files are all stored in one place, in this case on the D drive of a local computer. I am trying to locate any files in the D drive with a file extension of .txt or of .xml (there may be more than two of these files in the future, so I'm trying to allow for that). Then I want to open all of these files, extract the information and output all the information in one display window. I want all the information from these two or more files to be displayed together in the display window.
Here is the code so far. It is throwing up errors.
