View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a program to calculate the flight time and fuel burn of an airplane. However when I repeated the whole calculation, it did not show any data or result like the previous calculation. In addition, the "If" statement that I used to test the "fuelRemain" doesn't work properly. I can't figure out why.
Here are the outputs [URL]
#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>
#include <string>

I know it sounds strange but I've seen things that have files which contain source code (usually in something in Python or such) and how this is read on run-time?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAm I doing this correctly? My assignment is pretty much to answer certain codes manually.
int i = 0;
while (i < 7 )
{
cout << 2 * i;
++i;
}
Does this code read as
2 * 0 = 0
2 * 1 = 2
2 * 3 = 6
2 * 4 = 8
2 * 5 = 10
2 * 6 = 12
How about the ++i part?
I have a tcp client - server implementation running in the same program, on different background worker threads. There will be instances of this program on multiple computers so they can send and receive files between each other. I can send files sequentially between computers using network stream, but how would I send multiple files at the same time from computer A to B.
Sending multiple files over one connection ( socket ) is fine, but having multiple network streams sending data to a client, the client doesn't know which chunk of data is apart of which file ?
i have a spec for fetch the files from server and predict the un-used files from the directory in this situation i am going to fetch the files from server it will return huge files, the problem is the cpu usage will increase while i am fetching large files, so i like to eliminate this scenario.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIn my project I have commented all the available funtions in a systematic way. Following is the commenting system in my project:
''' --------------------------------------------------- ''' <summary>
''' ************************************************** ******* ''' FUNCTION:
''' VAR NBR:
''' ************************************************** ******* ''' </summary>
''' <VariableName> loadApp </VariableName>
''' <VariableDiscription> loads the Application </VariableDiscription>

Now I would like to extract the data inside these comment tags and insert into excel sheet. Need to extract the comments in the xml tags shown in the able format? For example I want the value inside the <Autor> tag.
We are using the DownloadFile method of the WebClient class to download artwork via URLs for purchase orders, this works well for the most part, but hangs with certain file types. We never have problems with .pdf files, but .ai files (Illustrator) just hang with 0 bytes being downloaded, and then eventually times out after the default 60 seconds. Any similar activity while downloading files with the WebClient class? The files that are being downloaded are hosted on the same server, in the same directory.
if (validURL == true) {
WebClient client = new WebClient();
try {
client.Headers.Add("Accept: text/html, application/xhtml+xml, */*");

So the premise of my code is to read in a 2d array from a .txt. The array is a game board but the first two lines are what determine the size of the board. After i read it in i want it to find wherever te character "U" is, and then display the array but only showing U and whats around it. Problem is i cant get the array to print the right size and the code for displaying the U is not working either.
ifstream inputFile;
int boardSizeRow;
int boardSizeCol;
inputFile.open("C:UsersMichaelDesktopfileboard2.txt");
inputFile >> boardSizeRow;
inputFile >> boardSizeCol;
inputFile.get();

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am getting an error "Unreachable code detected" when I add a switch statement.
My code looks like:

(Everything works functionally until I try to add the switch statement.)
I'm trying read a binary file. A binary files is continued with bytes(ascci characters). and the 1st position is the position 0(zero).
I'm trying read just some values from ICO file:
- the 3rd value is in 4th-1 position(number of icons); (See the table: [URL] .... )
- the with is the (numberoficons*16) + 4 (the 16 is the Entries structure size) position;
- the height is the (numberoficons*16) + 4 + 4 (the 16 is the Entries structure size) position.
now see the code:
int iconwidth;
int iconheight;
int iconcount;
FILE *iconfile = fopen(filename.c_str(), "rb");//open the file
fseek(iconfile,4-1,SEEK_SET); //put the file in position 6(the position starts from 0)
fread(&iconcount,sizeof(char),2,iconfile);//get 2 blocks with char size(2 bytes).. i'm getting the number of icons
[Code] ....
so what i'm doing wrong with block positions?

I have the following code which allows me to add the pdf files if I give the exact name and path of the file. But I have multiple pdf files in a folder which I want to add to each cell in the first column. I am having trouble thinking of the logic to have a for loop for a folder which contains the pdf files.
private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) {
Excel.Application xlApp;
Excel.Workbook xlWorkBook;
Excel.Worksheet xlWorkSheet;
xlApp = new Excel.ApplicationClass();
xlWorkBook = xlApp.Workbooks.Add(true);
[Code] ...
But this is very very rough draft. I have say 20 files in the folder pdf with different names(Title). How can I add all the 20 pdf files in the excel sheet?
I am trying to use struct to store variables from a text file and use them in the main program. I have first tried running the program without using struct and declaring the variables within the main program and it runs fine. But after using struct, it gives no compilation error and a segmentation fault as output. Also, if the size of file/variable size is unknown can I declare variables as char string[]??
The code is as below:
Code:
#include<stdio.h>
struct test {
char string1[10000];
[Code].....
So I have to write a code for my C++ class, and I am having a problem trying to figure out how to get my code to read multiple int values. This is what my code should look like

View 12 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to finish this project which is supposed to read two files, and merge them alphabetically. I've written this code, and it compiles. But it isn't actually doing anything??The console opens and closes immediately upon running.

I'm trying to add a function now that lets the user open 1 or more files and import them to the database and dataGridView. Now the way it is now (should) work. But when it has finished with FILE1, it won't add FILE2 as it then gives me an error that the Column Date Already exists.
My code is below
private void btnOpenLog_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) {

I have a desktop application in which i want to copy files from my local computer to an online server. I have the user name and the password of the server. is there any way like
file.copy(sourcePath,destinationPath)
to copy the files where the destinationPath will be something like
"192.168.x.xx/files" ..
I've got some code in C++ that does some basic analysis on price data and I run it from the cmd prompt. One of the functions I had built to read in the data is as follows:
void ReadPricesFromFile(constchar*filename,std::vector<PriceInfo>&prices)
{std::ifstreaminput(filename);
input>>prices;}
How would one merge this type of code into a Qt GUI? Ideally, I'd like to use something like QFileDialog to open up a folder with my data files, select a file, and then read the file that the user selects. Would the main.cpp look something like this?
int main (int argc, char *argv []) {
QApplication prog (argc, argv);
QPushButton *load_button = new QPushbutton ("Load File");
QObject:: connect (load_button, SIGNAL (clicked()), &prog, SLOT ( (ReadPricesfromFile function?);
load_button-> show ();
return prog.exec ();}
I am trying to read data from more than one file at once. The files are different types e.g. one is a text file one is an xml file like so, StudentInformation.txt, CollegeInformation.xml. The files are all stored in one place, in this case on the D drive of a local computer. I am trying to locate any files in the D drive with a file extension of .txt or of .xml (there may be more than two of these files in the future, so I'm trying to allow for that). Then I want to open all of these files, extract the information and output all the information in one display window. I want all the information from these two or more files to be displayed together in the display window.
Here is the code so far. It is throwing up errors.
//Load from txt files
private void btnLoad_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
{
IEnumerable<string> fileContents = Directory.EnumerateFiles("D:\", "*.*", SearchOption.TopDirectoryOnly)
.Select(x => new FileInfo(x))
.Where(x => x.Extension == ".xml" || x.Extension == ".txt")
.Select(file => ParseFile(file));}
[Code] ....
The error it throws up is:
Error 1 'BookList.Mainwindow.ParseFile(System.IO.FileInfo)': not all code paths return a value
