C Sharp :: Adding Multiple PDF Files Into EXCEL Using OLEObject?

Jun 24, 2013

I have the following code which allows me to add the pdf files if I give the exact name and path of the file. But I have multiple pdf files in a folder which I want to add to each cell in the first column. I am having trouble thinking of the logic to have a for loop for a folder which contains the pdf files.

 private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) {
            Excel.Application xlApp;
            Excel.Workbook xlWorkBook;
            Excel.Worksheet xlWorkSheet;
            xlApp = new Excel.ApplicationClass();
            xlWorkBook = xlApp.Workbooks.Add(true);

[Code] ...

But this is very very rough draft. I have say 20 files in the folder pdf with different names(Title). How can I add all the 20 pdf files in the excel sheet?

I can send files sequentially between computers using network stream, but how would I send multiple files at the same time from computer A to B.

Sending multiple files over one connection ( socket ) is fine, but having multiple network streams sending data to a client, the client doesn't know which chunk of data is apart of which file ?

C++ :: Use Excel And Word Files With Computer That Doesn't Have Both?

Mar 12, 2014

I have to develop an application that uses Qt, Excel and live-time file checking. My client gave me this:

I have a problem at work. I need you to develop this: I want one application with GUI (it said windows), that generates an report for each sheet (employee name) in the file, with the columns. I don't want to make the computer slower, so check the file and get the name of the employee that is altered and only change his report

How to start it. All Excel libraries I use stop working on my computer and this "File Checking" is other trouble, because if for each second I compare the size of the "old" file with "new" file, the memory will explode.

C# :: Multiple Tables Conversion From Excel XLS File To XML With OpenXML

Apr 25, 2014

I have downloaded this project from here -->> [URL] ....

This one works fine and it's a great commented code to understand even for beginners like myself, but it only works with one table per sheet. Once I add second table in sheet, it throws an error that something is wrong in one of the columns in my spreadsheet: It says: " Error occurs! The error message is: Cannot find column 4. "

Basically, I have this type of tables in my spreadsheet:

So I want that my program would export those two tables in a single .XML file (just read them both). And those two tables should be separated in two XML childs: the upper one should be Order-Header and the lower one - Line-Items, like this:

<ROOT>
<Order-Header>
.....
</Order-Header>
<Line-Items>
.....
</Line-Items>
</ROOT>
ConvertExcelToXML.cs:

[Code] ....

I copied all the code because I think it is the easier way to spot where to change it, to read those two tables in one spreadsheet and export them both in one XML file. How could I achieve this kind of functionality.

C Sharp :: How To Create Excel File In C#

Dec 28, 2013

I am currently having issues with the following code when trying to create a excel file using C#. This is the code that I have at the moment.

    oXL = new Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.Application();
            oXL.Visible = false;
            oWK = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Workbook)(oXL.Workbooks.Add(System.Reflection.Missing.Value));
            oWK.SaveAs(path + "" + fileName);
            oWS = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Worksheet)oWK.Worksheets.get_Item(1);
            oWS.Cells[1, 1] = "Student ID";
            oWS.Cells[1, 2] = "Student Name";
            oWK.Save();

The line that I am having issues with is

oWS = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Worksheet)oWK.Worksheets.get_Item(1);

If I remove it, I am able to create and save teh workbook in the directory. However, I want to make some changes on a worksheet, and that is where the issue is. I have also tried using the line of code:

oWS = (Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel._Worksheet)oWK.Worksheets[1];

This line had no luck either. The issue I am having is the error regarding InvalidOperationException: Dynamic operations can only be performed in homogenous AppDomain.

C++ :: Display Last 1000 Lines From Multiple Text Files (log Files)

Jan 16, 2014

I am writing a piece of code that requires me to display the last 1000 lines from a multiple text files (log files). FYI, I am running on Linux and using g++.

I have a log file from which - if it contains more than 1000 lines, I need to display the last 1000 lines. However, the log file could get rotated. So, in case where the current log file contains less than 1000 lines, I have to go to older log file and display the remaining. For e.g., if log got rotated and new log file contains 20 lines, I have to display the 980 lines from old log file + 20 from current log files.

What is the best way to do this? Even an outline algorithm will work.

C++ ::  Multiple Files Causes (Multiple Definition) Error?

Jul 15, 2013

I'm using multiple C++ files in one project for the first time. Both have need to include a protected (#ifndef) header file. However, when I do that, I get a multiple definition error.

From what I found from research, adding the word inline before the function fixes the error. Is this the right way to do this, and why does it work? Should I make a habbit of just declaring any function that might be used in two .cpp files as inline?

C# :: Displaying Multiple Images And Adding Sales To Them?

Aug 28, 2014

My application requires the user to add sales to images, this is done by displaying the image for the GUI, and then the user would add sales using that images ID which is brought in from the database.

In part this is 2 questions, first question is what is the best way to generate a List for use when adding the sales to the database. The List would need multiple strings for each sale. So for example:

Image 1 (Sale)

- JPG ID
- Product ID
- Product Quantity

So i'm going to assume i'm best creating a new instance of a custom class for each sale, and then add each instance to a List<Sale>?

public class Sale
{
public int SaleID { get; set; }
public int JpgID { get; set; }
public int SaleQty { get; set; }
}

Then I need a decent way to update this List with the GUI controls. So maybe get the JPG ID and set name of the Sale Class Instance to the ID, in this way its unique and I can update that instance when it comes to increasing the sale of a product or decreasing it.

Second part comes to the design of the GUI of adding sales, when I made this using HTML/PHP that was easier. It looked something like this:

If I wrote some code to generate that kind of design again in C# it going to require many Controls, wouldn't that be a bit intensive on the system? I just want something which looks great but also functions good.

At some point I'm going to switch to WPF, but I just need to get a working prototype working now which my client can use, and then update it when I have more time as I have got other Web Related projects that need doing, so at the moment WPF is out of the question.

Visual C++ :: Adding Header And Lib Files At Runtime?

Feb 4, 2013

I was created a dynamic library (Used win32 App) & compiled with no error.

Then i was created my main application (MFC) & paste the .h,.lib,.dll files from the source path(dll App Path) to destination path(Main App Path). If i used the below command in my app means the project working good.

Code:
#include "Alg.h"
#Progma Command(lib, "VTAlg.lib")
& also paste the VTAlg.dll in my app path.

here Alg.h contains the some methods , In future i will edit the function like below for my client requirement but no function name & Arguments change. The changes made in inside function(Logically changed) only.

My client contains only .exe file + .dll file.

My requirement, So after change the method i will send only .dll file to my client

If i change my lib file name VTAlg2.lib instead of VTAlg1.lib (But Same Function name & Arg type)means how can i edit the code below

Code:
#include "Alg.h"
#Progma Command(lib, "VTAlg.lib")

& How to run my application at client place.

C :: Variable Access Across Multiple Files

Sep 7, 2013

I was trying out programs based on extern and as i understand, this is useful when accessing variables across multiple files having only one definition. But i tried a simple program as below without "extern" and thing seem to work when i expected it would fail during linking process

Code:
file5.c
1 #include <stdio.h>
2 #include "var.h"
3
4 int main() {
5
6 printf("
File5.c a = %d", a);

[Code] .....

As i have included "var.h" in all header files without extern, "int a" would be included in both the .c file and during linking, compiler should have thrown a warning or error message but it compiles file without any issue. Shouldn't var.h have the following "extern int a"?

C :: Accessing Files From Multiple Processors

Apr 9, 2013

I have a big un-editable program, A, which I need to run for like a 1000 different input files. It takes about 15 minutes for each file, so a little parallelisation wouldn't hurt.

I have installed openmpi and it works fine. I have made a small program, B, which selects an input file, moves it to another directory, calls program A with the path to the selected input file and then - when A is done - selects a new input file etc. It should loop until there are no more files in the initial directory.

The problem is this: When I have several processors they might pick the same file and that leads to errors. I have a working program, but it is not pretty.

Code:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <mpi.h>
#include <dirent.h>
#include <string.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {
int num_procs, procs_id, i, exit;
struct dirent *ent;

[Code]...

Every time a processor tries to move a file that another processor has just moved, the output shows an error message before looping to the next file and trying again. It works, but it is a bit annoying. So my questions are:

1) Can I switch off the error message somehow?

2) Is there a better way to do this?
