My function "MatrixMul" returns an int array with multiple values Let's say, res[0] and res[1]
When I'm calling the array in a for loop for multiple times, and when I'm storing the results in another array, in each iteration the results are over-written with the new results.
If the first call returns [0,1] the array will store [0,1] at index [0] and [1], which is fine, but when I'm calling the function again, the new results are stored at the same indexes [0] and [1] How can I avoid that?
The code is:
class Hill_Cipher { string AtoZ="ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ"; public string Hill_Cipher_Enc(string input, int[,] key)
[Code].....
For example, my outPut contains the following: "TH","IS","AT" when I'm calling the function with the first element of array "TH", it converts "T" to its equivalent number and apply some calculations and same with "H". Let's say the final answer is 20 for "T" and 30 for "H". The problem is that every time, encChars will store the values at index 0 and 1: encChars[0]=20 encChars[1]=30 When I call the function again it will store the new values at 0 and 1.... That's because I'm not changing the index value for encChars on each call, so how do I do that?
I can't figure out how to load multiple lines. I tried using , but I can't get it to work. Is there a better way of doing it than I am right now? This is my code.
char message[100]; int messageCount = 0; for(unsigned int i = 0; i < file.size(); ++i) { message[i] = file[i];
I can't get my code to compile, i need to read in lines from a file and store them in variables. Then i have to construct instances of my class for how many lines there are in the file and take those variables into them.
I'm getting this error :
"a2.cpp:40: error: cannot convert `Employee' to `Employee*' in assignment"
#include<iostream> #include<string> #include<fstream> void displayInfo(); using namespace std; class Employee{
This code i made is a cent converter from 5 to 95 cents. The problem i'm receiving is when the 'cents' function is sent back to the 'main' function it only prints one line. It seems to just print the first if construct that complies with the statement. Is there anyway i can have this function print multiple cent values? For example if 60 cents was entered it would only print '50c', and i want it to print '50c' and '10c' instead.
Code:
#include <stdio.h> int x; void check(int x) { if( x < 5) printf("Less then 5 cannot be calculated "); else if(x > 95)
I am trying to make a messageBoxButtons dialog with the 'yes, no' buttons. Im having trouble because of the multiple lines and parameters already in the message, this means that when i declare the messageBoxButtons.YesNo and the title - it throws an error because of the multiple lines etc...
How can I get the yes/no message box to work in this instance?
class Output { string text; { DialogResult dialogResult = MessageBox.Show("Please make sure the following information is correct before submitting." + " Date: " + Date + " Hours worked: " + Hours + " Hourly rate: $" + Rate
I am writing a pure C based win32 applications. I have drawn line. Now i want to translate that line, move the line whereved user wants to move on screen. Then again I drawn another line, I am drawing multiple lines.
I have created rectangle region for each line and trying to move the line.
When I move the 2nd line over the 1st line on screen the 1st line is getting wiped out. Because I am InvalidateRect() of the rect for the line being moved, so when that rectangle is crossing the other line then the other line is getting removed from the screen.
How can I rectify it. How can I have all the lined being on the screen and moved according to the user's wish. The code should be pure C and win32 no MFC.
I am working on a text based RPG. As with most RPGs the character has attributes that grant modifiers. Lets take strength for instance. Suppose the character can have a strength score that ranges from 1 to 10. Based on strength the modifiers could be like the following:
Strength = 1 grants +1 to hit and +1 damage Strength = 2 grants +1 to hit and +2 damage Strength = 3 grants +2 to hit and +3 damage
I want to set these values at design time and be able to retrieve the modifiers based on the strength value from multiple places in my program.
What is the best method of designing this. I looked around online and saw references to Lists with Tuples and Dictionaries with Tuples but these did not seem to be a very efficient way of handling the scenario above.
Are the objects in both vectors the same instance of the object? Like if I called vectorOne[0].setValue(somethingDifferent); would the value be changed for the object in both vectorOne and vectorTwo? If not, how do I make sure that I only have one instance of the object I'm trying to store in multiple vectors?
am trying to create a program that asks the user personal questions.
std::vector<std::string> name, age, favsinger; std::cout << "Hello, what is your Name Age Favorite_Singer? "; std::cin << name; //i want to store the user's info along with the sibling's
It seem to store the entire line in userID including the ":". I want to ignore the ":"'s and store everything in between in respective varibles in the order specified above.
So first string in userID, then ignore the :, then second string in name, and ignore the next :, and so forth.

I am writing a piece of code that requires me to display the last 1000 lines from a multiple text files (log files). FYI, I am running on Linux and using g++.
I have a log file from which - if it contains more than 1000 lines, I need to display the last 1000 lines. However, the log file could get rotated. So, in case where the current log file contains less than 1000 lines, I have to go to older log file and display the remaining. For e.g., if log got rotated and new log file contains 20 lines, I have to display the 980 lines from old log file + 20 from current log files.
What is the best way to do this? Even an outline algorithm will work.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to calculate the sum of two lines in the array(for loop)? And the next part, I can return the values to the main program however, how do I do it with c pointers?
(1) Write a C function that takes an integer array argument. The array argument has two rows and NDATA columns where NDATA is a symbolic constant. For each column in the array argument, the function calculates the sum of the values in the first and second row. The function returns to its calling program (using a second argument and call by reference as implemented with C pointers) the maximum of these sums. Additionally the function returns the column subscript where this maximum first occurs. This subscript value is returned the usual way (using a return statement). etc...
Here is the start of the array program
Code: #include<stdio.h> #include<stdlib.h> #define NDATA 5 /* define number of data per row */ int row; /* count rows */ int column; /* count columns */
The first part of the exercise is to read the lines from a file placing each line into an array. I thought my code looked correct however nothing but garbage prints out. Here's my code.
The program should store a character array in reverse order then display the reversed array. I have also included in the code that will display the actual characters into the array as it loops through. So I know the characters are being stored, but why doesn't it display the entire string when I call it?
How can I store this data into an array?And I only can read the first integer.. 10.... How can I read the whole file...Heres the data:

Heres what I have so far?
#include <iostream> //Accesses libaries for console input and output #include <fstream> //Needed to access the fstream object to read files #include <string> //Needed to access the string class #include <cstdlib>
I am working on an assignment for class: Create a program that allows a user to enter up to 10 addresses of friends. Use a two dimensional array to store the address of friends. After each address is entered, the user should have the option to enter another address or print out a report that shows each addresses entered thus far. I have created a code that is coming up without errors, but i am not getting the desired results.
Code:
#include <stdio.h> #include <string.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main () { char name[10][10] = {0}; char address[10][10]= {100}; int choice;
[Code]....
My trouble is coming from the the output. I am able to fill the array but i am not able to print my desired results. Where am I losing it in the loop? Also after my first entry if i have space in the "address" input the program prints and ends.
i j x y w h w*h 0 0 0 0 9 11 99 1 0 0 11 9 10 90 2 0 0 21 9 11 99 0 1 9 0 8 12 96 1 1 9 12 8 7 56 2 1 9 19 8 6 48
[Code]...
Code:
struct data { //Here /*! horizontal position */ int x; /*! vertical position */ int y; /*! width */ int w; /
[Code]...
data and then i have an array /*! it contain group_id of each data line*/ int group_id[16]={0,0,0,0,3,3,1,1,1,3,3,2,2,2,2,1}; I never worked with 2D array before. My problem is that i want to create a 2D array of that data for example if i write data[j][i].. It will give me the reference/value of all data lines that belongs to j column, and same with group_id[j][i]. I don't know how i can store these structure vaules in this like 2D array.
