C++ :: How To Get Array Size Inside Method

I have one array with size of 5 and passing this array to one method. I want to get size of the array inside method. If i get size of array inside method, i'm getting only "1",but not "5".

v[0]=1;
v[1]=2;
v[2]=3;
v[3]=4;
v[4]=5;
cout<<sizeof(v)/sizeof(&v[0])<<endl; // here i'm getting size as 5
CreateArray(v);

Is there any way to get size inside method ?

I wanted to add that the template argument is needed because its a "special case" but if that doesn't work what would be the next best way to solve this problem. I want to be able to declare the const size of the array outside the class far removed from it actually. I'm actually going off this page

My question according to what i just wrote:
1. Is that mean that Do() is only available for use by Dog itself because Dog is 'oryginal' Dog, and if i create new dogs - instances of oryginal Dog (dog1, dog2 ...) they cant access because Do is only available fo 'oryginal' one? Is that correct thinking?
2. If i would want to have something common (e.g value) for all dogs is that good way to create static field/method for Dog instead of non-static once then all instances of Dog would access Dog static member to get/change it? Just stupid example: static method GetAmountOfLegs() which return 4 Then all instances can take/call that value from Dog. Is that correct thinking?

I've been trying for more than one month to access a method found in a library called libcocosnas_static.a. I'm using Cocos2d-X version 2.0.4. The library has been used many times by my company to make games using cocos2d-1.0.1-x-0.12.0 without any problem.
This is what I've done:
1- I added the include paths of the library to both eclipse and Android.mk
2- Included the .h file using #include "NASPlatformUtil.h"
3- Added the libcocosnas_static.a file to the proj.androidobjlocalarmeabi folder
4- Added "LOCAL_WHOLE_STATIC_LIBRARIES += cocosnas_static" to the Android.mk file
5- Called the function using: NASPlatformUtil:: openUrl("http://xxx.xxx.com/");
I can right click on the function, click Open Declaration and get it without any problem, but the compiler keeps on giving me that dreaded error...

I have to create a program that accepts 10 numbers from user, and then I display a list of the numbers, the smallest one and the higher number. The error I'm getting is "Cannot implicitly convert type 'string[*,*]' to 'string'". So that tells me what the issue is. However, I'm not sure how to fix it.
How do I change this method, so that it properly returns my two dimensional array?

I am trying to sort an array of random numbers by passing it to a method Sort(), sort the array, and then pass the entire array back to the calling program. Each time I run this though, the array doesn't seem to sort. I'm not sure if the problem lies with my sorting algorithm or if it has something to do with calling the function.

Ive recently got into function pointers, i find that they can be quite handy for making your program very 'dynamic'.
However, the syntax is very confusing for what i want to do

URL.....Now, I am trying to model "light" inside the world[20][20] char array by using a char light[4][4] which only opens up the map in enclosed in the light area of effect. In this case 4x4. I have tried quite a few things, including 4Darrays, but nothing comes close. Essentially, I want to be able to move the light[][] array freely inside the world[][] array centered at some arbitrary point.

I have a program where I roll a die X number of times and need to print how many times it lands on each side. I tried to create an array in the class aDie that increments each time the corresponding number is rolled but when I go to call and print it in the main my out put is 0. I just picked how many times it landed on the side 4 just to see if it works and it doesn't.

I'm wondering if it is possible to pass a 2d array to a function where the size of the array is not known at runtime.
I've tried
function ( array[][6] ) ;
But the size of the array has to be constant so it cannot be declared later.
I've tried using a template but you still have to declare the size of the array at runtime. Is this even possible at all?
The only other way I can think of is using a dynamic 2d array but how to create one and manipulate it.

I have run across what I believe to be a syntax problem which I don't understand. I have a structure with two character array and I need to be able to change the size of those array dynamically. I have to use character arrays and I think the dot notation. I am not sure if I can use arrow notation. I can not do this problem using strings and vectors.

I am making a program to run Fibonacci series. I have created 2 array.
1)- 1st array holds only 0, 1
2)- 2nd array holds other values eg: 1, 2, 3, 5..........etc
I am using while loop to get the febonacci series and storing it in a 2nd array called int[] numbers.
After getting value using while loop, I am joing both the arrays using int[] final = arr.Concat(number).ToArray();
At last, I have used foreach loop to add the febonacci series into the listbox.
The problem I have is that, I cannot able to concat both the arrays. I tried to assign number array at the top of the while loop. so that number variable will be accessible outside the while loop. But I am getting a error.

The main difference is I would like to pass a method of derived class as a parameter to some other method in its template base class.

The above is an example which does not compile. My compiler complains that the two BaseMethod() calls in DerivedMethod() are invalid uses of non-static member function.
Is this not possible to do, or is my syntax simply wrong? All I want is to be able to pass as an an argument to a method in the base class from the derived class some callback as a variable for the base class to invoke later.

im tasked with creating a linear search script using functions on a 10 element array. the elements are to be supplied by the user as is the search target.
I understand how to create the array and gather that information from the user as well as howto set a variable for "target", this is what im calling it. Those two parts are simple enough.
I am not fully understanding the calling of an array in a function as a pointer. i semi understand the use of a pointer and howto call a normal pointer in a function. i also understand that an array is nothing more then a "special" pointer with a set of consecutive address blocks for the size of the array.
My first user defined function is simple enough

Sso nothing out of the ordinary there. that should be a standard for loop and use of scanf, sadly prof has not covered ssanf or any of the other options so i am stuck using scanf for now. maybe someday down the line in a other program or after this course ill get the chance to learn about better options for gathering data from the user.
