C/C++ :: Converting String To Upper Case Via Dynamic Array?

I am trying to understand why i keep getting errors in my code. The errors are after the string is converted in my console window. I have to allocate and delete memory via dynamic array to do the problem.

I just want to know why the extra characters are at the end of my conversion and how to make them stop.
I am unsure how to write a function which modifies the content of the 1D character array and puts all of the letter it contains into uppercase. the following are the letters which i am trying to convert.
error expected '=', ',', ';', 'asm' or '__attribute__' before '{' token|. error expected '=', ',', ';', 'asm' or '__attribute__' before '{' token|. error expected '{' at end of input|.
I just dont know how to get my upper case and lower case equal...heres the program: Write a program to calculate utility cost for ACME UTILITY COMPANY. The company has 3 types of customers (R) residential, (C) Commercial and (G) government. Customers are billed based on the number of kilowatts used and they type of customer they are (R,C,or G).
Residential cusstomers are charged 0.25 cents per kilowatt hour for the first 500kw used, and 0.35 cent per kwh for all kw used over 500.Commercial customers are charged 0.22 cents per kilowatt hour for the first 999kw used, 0.29 cents per kwh for all kw used over 999 kw up to 1999 and 0.45 cents per kwh for all kilowatts used greater than 1999. Commercial customers that use over 2000 kw are charged a special surcharge of 100.0 in addition to the regular charges.
Government customers are charged 0.34 cents for the first 1500 kwh used(<=1500). 0.30 cent for the next 1000 kwh(1501-2500) and 0.25 cents for all kwh used over (>=2501)
in addition residential customer are charged .5% tax on the cost utilities while Commercial customers are 5% tax on the cost of utilities not including the special surcharge Government customers are not charged a tax

I can get the first letter to change if there is only one word. But if there are two words it wont change and display the second word's first letter and I'm not sure why.
Write a program that reads characters from the keyboard using the getch() function. All lower case letters will be converted to upper case and printed out to the display using the putchar() function. All uppercase letters will be printed using putchar(). All individual digits will be accumulated and the sum will be printed at the end of the program using printf(). You will write a function to return the upper case of the letter and a second function which receives the current sum and the character digit.
The convert digit function will convert the character digit to a decimal value and accumulate the digit to the sum returning the new sum. Only the letters will be printed out nothing else. The program will continue until the return is received at which time the sum of the digits will be printed on the next line. I dont understand why it expects more () in the functions....
This code ran well until i added in the ToLower function which is supposed to convert the char array string to lower case (based off ascii strategy -32). correct this function so it converts string to lower case and doesn't get errors.

I want to create 2 functions to (1) convert a passed string into proper case (capitalize the first alpha character of a string and every alpha character that follows a non-alpha character); (2) sort the array of names (after it has been converted to proper case).
In this program, I have to ask the user for an employee, then the program will check to see if the file for that employee exist, if it doesnt then it will automatically create the file.
ReadNew function reads the file....check to see if it exist
CreateNew function creates a new file.
In my code I have no problem with the first part of reading file.. and my createnew function works in other programs where I am asking for input of file name to create the file name. However in this code I cannot figure how to automatically pass the input filename from the ReadNew function to the CreateNew function. I can't ask the user to enter the name a second time, so I have to pass the input filename into both functions. Here is my code.

For Example, it the entered string is: 0324152397 I want it to get stored in an array like-[0] [3] ...[7]. Secondly the string entered may be of any length that is defined only at run time. So, I also need to calculate string length. How could I do that.
I have a little problem with one of my functions. The function purpose is to get a number (n) and create an array (size n) with pointers to strings (each string length is 20 chars) and i don't know why but during the debugging i get a <bad ptr> message and this message :

I coded a program that takes some strings and lexicographically orders the strings and its substrings. I have used dynamic memory allocation technique and its working fine for all strings without consecutive same alphabets.I use a list in which a string is placed in its exact position by moving the others right.
I am new to coding Here is the problem. Have a program prompt the user for a filename to open. Change every alphabetic character in the file to a capital letter. Numbers and special characters should not be changed. Print the output to the screen.
Here is my code so far but i am only returning the last line of text capitalized from the file. I am trying to get the program to display all of the three lines of text from the file capitalized. The program displays the file correctly before i try and convert everything toupper();

I need it to search a dynamic array which I build from an input file. When it finds the user-input string, I want it to store the line number, and continue searching, and record all lines that contain the user-input string.

So whenever i hit something that is not in the array i would like to know the closes upper value. So for 4 closest upper value is 5, then for 8 it is 12 , for 35 it is 44. how would one do this?
I'm writing a program in which I have to use a matrix to represent a file in code. because it's a file, the size of the matrix is undefined, and therefore the matrix has to be dynamic. I found out that my compiler doesn't like dynamic multidimensional arrays, so I was thinking of this matrix as a dynamic (monodimensional) array of other dynamic (monodimensional) arrays. My program (and thus this example) uses unsigned chars.
So I have started this program for class but am stuck on what to do next. Basically you need to create a function to compare 2 strings (case-insensitive). The strings shouldn't be altered and the return value should be similar to strcmp.

I don't know if I labeled the files correct. what I need to do is to add 2 defaulted arguments which will allow the user to request that you skip spaces and/or skip punctuation when doing the comparison.
Also, how I can sort the numbers when they aren't justified with leading 0's and if they aren't in the lead string (kinda of like the natural sort).

How can I write program that can convert an input string into a form that only the first letter of the string is a capital letter and the rest is lower-case?
I have to convert my netpay which is a float to a string So if I input a value of say, 356.26 it should output "the sum of three hundred fifty-six and 26/100 dollars" . My program function works for the sum of three hundred but after that it spits out garbage.
How will I add the existing content of the text file to the newly inputed date(hoursworked & minsWorked) to compute the total number of hours works. I'm just a beginner in using Visual basic C++.
