Visual C++ :: Crypt Input File Using ECIES

Nov 15, 2014

I am trying to make a basic crypting program, you simply input a file and it's crypted using ECIES.

So I use cryptopp, ( see the function : [URL] .....).

So I thought I just needed to open the files and crypt the content like that :

Code:
file = "lorem.txt"
std::ifstream if1s(file);
std::string content((std::istreambuf_iterator<char>(if1s)), std::istreambuf_iterator<char>());
if1s.close();

[Code] ....

Encrypt is a custom made function to make encryption simplier here is the header :

Code:
string encrypt(string message);

This works pretty well on text files but when I try to crypt a 1 mb image, the output is 0.5 kb which obviously can't be right, so I wonder if there is some specific way to crypt some files.

C++ :: Crypt Arithmetic Puzzle - Replace Each Letter As S Number

Oct 28, 2013

Dont know how to replace each letter as s number ... this is the question i was given ...

In cryptarithmetic puzzles, mathematical equations are written using letters. Each letter can be a digit from 0 to 9, but no two letters can be the same. Here is a sample problem:

SEND + MORE = MONEY

A solution to the puzzle is S = 9, R = 8, O = 0, M = 1, Y = 2, E = 5, N = 6, D = 7.

Write a program that finds a solution to the cryptarithmetic puzzle of the following:

TOO + TOO + TOO + TOO = GOOD

The simplest technique is to use a nested loop for each unique letter (in this case T, O, G, D). The loops would systematically assign the digits from 0 to 9 to each letter. For example, it might first try T=0,O=0,G=0,D=0, thenT=0,O=0, G = 0, D = 1, then T = 0, O = 0, G = 0, D = 2, etc., up to T = 9, O = 9, G = 9, D = 9. In the loop body, test that each variable is unique and that the equation is satisfied. Output the values for the letters that satisfy the equation.

I run getline(inFile,line);

C :: Program To Calculate Students Grades From Input File And Write To Output File

Aug 29, 2014

One of my class assignments is to create a program that receive a .txt file containing a students name and their grades as follows:

John K. 99, 87, 57, 89, 90, 95
Amanda B. Jones 100, 88, 76, 99, 86, 92
etc..

The number of students is unknown until run time. You have to take those grades and average them weighing the first (4) at 10% a piece and the last (2) at 30% each.

Then return an output file with the students name and their letter grade A,B,C,D,F based on their computed score. In addition, on screen it needs to display the average scores for each Q1, Q2, etc. as well as the minimum and maximum for each test on the screen. I am having a hard time in assigning the scores to a variable so that they can then be computed as an average and then used to determine a letter grade. I have begun to write the code and am a bit stuck..here's what I have so far:

Code:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>

I have tried using the isdigit function (but this only works for single characters). I have tried cin.clear, cin.ignore (1000) but this doesn't work either..

Any effective way to check if x in the following programme has been entered correctly

#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
cout << "Please enter an integer (positive or negative)" << endl;
int x;
cin >> x;

Visual C++ :: Input Validation Error Using Arrays

Jul 18, 2013

I have not completed this program yet, but I have already run into a snag. For the Input Validation part, every time you enter a number regardless if it is positive it will still display the cout statement: "Please enter positive values". The program runs correctly where I currently am at, but it just keeps reading that statement even if a user enters a positive value. I have run the debugger, but it really is not showing me anything other than I notice it jumping to that statement after every value that is entered.

Here is my code, once again I have not finished this yet, but I would really like to get this fixed first before I continue. I will keep debugging in the meantime...

Code:
// A local zoo wants to keep track of how many pounds of food each of its three monkeys eats each day during a typical week. Write a program that stores this information in a two-dimensional 3 X 7 array, where each row represents a different monkey and each column represents a different day of the week. The program should first have the user input the data for each monkey. Then it should create a report that includes the following information:

// Average amount of food eaten per day by the whole family of monkeys.
// The least amount of food eaten during the week by any one monkey.
// The greatest amount of food eaten during the week by any one monkey.

// Input validation: Do not accept negative numbers for pounds of food eaten.
