May 13, 2014What I'm looking for is actually a few things. I want to creat a drag and drop like quiz. For example:
-You get 4 pictureboxes with 4 different pictures of pc components (the solutions). Below that there are 4 other empty pictureboxes to drag the picture to with text aside from them (the questions).Now How would I go about linking the different pictures to the correct text ? I already have drag and drop working, but the linking is killing me.

I suspect, ultimately I may need to identify that it is a compressed folder and extract the contents, however I have not been able to find any information about identifying the file that may have been drug out of the folder onto the form (such as the file name, zip file path etc)

Jan 24, 2013I can't seem to make IE selected text draggable into my MFC application. Take a look at the sample VS 2008 C++ solution attached. To illustrate, compile and open the app. Then open an IE (the one I'm using is IE 9 version 9.0.8112, update versions 9.0.12), select any text in it and drag it into the app's text box. It won't let you. But if you try it with practically any other web browser (Chrome, FF) it works just fine. Why can't I make it work with IE?

May 5, 2014I want program to make bitmap from my Window. I also want to do add some additional steps which I will try to add later. But now I want to ask you how to fix the code. For some reason when I debug the code (break on line 73 of capture.cpp) there the pointer pBitmap is 0x00000000 . So how to correct the code to successfully capture Window? PS: The code is remake of script to capture screen, which saved the bitmap to file. This is not what I want because I would be content if I could send (or maybe share!) the bitmap to ahk script which will ask my C++ program for the bitmap.

Oct 18, 2014For a ribbon bar with edit controls (CMFCRibbonEdit) I want to handle the mouse scroll events for the edit controls. That is, when the user clicks and then scrolls on the edit it will navigate a predefined list of strings. I want to capture the scroll event in order to update the edit text step by step.
This kind of behavior is implemented by the Spin Edit; I don't want to use the spin edit control since it only uses a list of integers and the spin buttons are too small.
Is there a way to catch the mouse scroll event for the CMFCRibbonEdit control? How to approach message handling for the ribbon (other messages than the COMMAND allowed by the ribbon designer). I'm using VS2010 on Windows 7 and the ribbon was designed with the ribbon designer?

So when I run it, the SHFileOperation API shows this warning:
Are you sure you want to permanently delete this folder?
If the end-user clicks "No", SHFileOperation return 0x4c7, which I believe is ERROR_CANCELLED.
My question is, if I don't need any UI, how can I know that my file/folder will be permanently deleted vs. placed into the Recycle Bin?

I found one batch file script but it renaming with numbers only. But i want differntly.

In a folder there are 100 images and all numbered with some digits or names.
assume that all images are belongs to "john" , so i want to rename all images with "john+ a random string".
here a random string means -> it has an array with 3000 english words, (you can predefine them by downloading from dictonary).
In the script the 3000 names are fixed, but the 1st name will be changed by my wish. that my be john, mary, sai, pavan etc...
Suggestion: you do not need to enter all 3000 words in array manually. some javscript codes are there to read input of each and evey line and them into an array.

Apr 18, 2012Im developing a game where i need 18 animated images to fall into view from the top of the screen with 14 of type A visible and 4 of type B. I then need to be able to drag these items off screen or into a basket at the bottom of the screen.
My current issues are:
I cant seem to drag the images off screen or to the basket when they are animated.I cant make the images fall randomly with delay between them.I was able to make the 18 appear, but not as listed above in the description with 14 of type A and 4 of type B.

C++ :: Capture Output From EXE In A String
Mar 7, 2014I am writing a small editor for RSL coding, and ive got an external program "3Delight" to compile the code.
Now i want the output from that exe to be captured in a string once the compilation is comlete, but all of the methods ive found online dont seem to work for me. Ive tried using _popen which works if i run a normal command like "dir", but not with the exe.
This is the function ive been using that works with the normal commands
