C++ :: Linking 3rd Party Library To Existing Project - Unresolved Externals

Jan 14, 2013

I am trying to add in a few 3rd party libraries to an existing project solution. I have no source code or knowledge on how the libraries were built (i.e. what run-time library was used). I have recieved the following errors and warnings:

1>CAPS_LIB.lib(PCEfunc.obj) : MSIL .netmodule or module compiled with /GL found; restarting link with /LTCG; add /LTCG to the link command line to improve linker performance
1>libcmt.lib(getenv.obj) : error LNK2005: _getenv_s already defined in MSVCRT.lib(MSVCR90.dll) ***There are multiple of these errors
1>LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib 'MSVCRT' conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
1>MSVCRT.lib(cinitexe.obj) : warning LNK4098: defaultlib 'libcmt.lib' conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
1>libcmt.lib(crt0.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _main
1>C:Program Files (x86)BCI 2000 v3progRelWithDebInfo..CAPSVRInterface.exe : fatal error LNK1120: 1 unresolved externals

CAPS_LIB.lib is one of the libraries I am trying to add in and it seems to be the one causing the problem. I believe I have added in all three libraries into the project solution correctly, but I can't seem to find a solution to these errors.

C# :: Opening A Second Form Project Within A Project

Jan 22, 2014

I have a project which does a specific thing, like an open file dialog.

I would like to open it in a different project on a click of a button.

Also, It has a different namespace.

I'm guessing that it would involve a "using" statement to add the namespace And I will have to add reference to an *.exe or *.dll -> I'll have to look up how to make a *.dll, I know where the *.exe file is.

I have searched for a different things on Google, but I don't think that I am looking for the correct phrase (which is always frustrating...)

C :: USB To Serial Communication Using Language

Dec 18, 2013

I have to communicate between two laptops using USB-to-Serial adapter. I have written 2 programs one for sending and another for receiving. Programs were written in both C and C# programming languages.

Using C language: I am able to successfully communicate using C-Programs mentioned below. But the problem is speed. It takes around 1 hour(60min) for just to pass 150MB. improving the performance of this programs...I also mention some comments along with programs for self understanding.Sender File on laptop with serial port :

Code:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <bios.h>
#include <conio.h>
}

[code]....

The above 4 programs behaves as, sender send a character and receives an ack for every character. I have followed this approach, bcoz other approaches were not working fine (in the sense the complete data is not sent, the amount of data sent is not judgeable, bcoz it will different every tym). when i used this approach it worked fine.

C++ :: Compilation In Machine Language

Jan 25, 2013

Have a program which given a C source code file, gives back RAW MACHINE CODE, which means it doesn't have to be a executable on his own.

Like:

Given a example function for C:

int stdcall Function(void)
{
return 0;
}

Gives back the Machine Code for the Example Function.

It doesn't need to be actual C code, it can also be like:

type int
return 0

Or also it can be a straight assembly-to-machine-code compiler.

Is there any Library? Or even a external tool I can look into?

C :: Convert Decimal To Binary On Language

The goal of my program is to convert a decmial number to a binary number.First, the program gets an input to an array of chars, and the function translate_dec_bin converts this array to a decimal number through the strtoul function.The problem is that my program prints the binary number with an additional "0".For exmaple, for the input 1 - the program prints 01 instead of 1, for the input 3 - the program prints 011 instead of 11.

Code:

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#define MAX_LEN 20
void translate_dec_bin(char s[]){
char st[sizeof(unsigned)*20] = { 0 };

C/C++ :: Automata - Tell Whether A String Is Accepted By Language

Sep 27, 2014

I have a program that reads a text file and then outputs the corresponding transition table according to the regular expression given in the text file. The first line that is read by the code contains the transition table. The subsequent lines of the text files include the strings. I want my code to read the strings in the subsequent lines of the text file and tell me whether the string is accepted or not by the language. Basically, what my code does is that it translates the regular expression to an NFA and then, it translates the NFA to a DFA and then it builds a transition table according to the language.

I have included a special library in my code and I compiled my code from the command line using the following command:

gcc -o lalab lalab.c -lncurses
then, I just run the program like this:
./lalab

Another problem that I have is that my code does not handle the empty transitions, so the program should output a corresponding result when it is fed a regular expression such as a|e. The alphabet of the language is made of {a, b, e} e is the empty transition. The text file that the program reads from includes a regular expression in its first line and strings to be accepted or not in the following lines. Given an input file like this:

(a|b)*a
aaaa
aba
bba
ab
bbb
:frown:

The code should produce an output like this:

yes
yes
yes
yes
no
no

Code:
#include<stdio.h>
#include<conio.h>
#define MAX 20

//=========================================================
struct nfa_state {
int a, b, eps1, eps2;
}NFA[20];

C++ :: Fill Value Of Dynamic Array Of Dynamic Arrays?

Jan 4, 2013

I'm writing a program in which I have to use a matrix to represent a file in code. because it's a file, the size of the matrix is undefined, and therefore the matrix has to be dynamic. I found out that my compiler doesn't like dynamic multidimensional arrays, so I was thinking of this matrix as a dynamic (monodimensional) array of other dynamic (monodimensional) arrays. My program (and thus this example) uses unsigned chars.

unsigned char variable=something;
unsigned char**matrix=new unsigned char*[lenghtOfMainArray];
for(int rowNumber=0;rowNumber<lenghtOfArray;rowNumber++)
{

C++ :: Explicit Linking Of DLL

May 22, 2014

I am working on Explicit Linking of a DLL to an executable. But, when it comes to application, I have some troubles.

1) I try to export a class using C Language approach. (I would ask for other approaches later).

My dll project as follows:

dllmain.cpp
// dllmain.cpp : Defines the entry point for the DLL application.
#include "stdafx.h"

BOOL APIENTRY DllMain( HMODULE hModule,
DWORD ul_reason_for_call,
LPVOID lpReserved

[code]....

2) Related with the question above, what is the best way to provide a "pure" explicit linking? How can I explicitly link a dll without introducing the corresponding .lib and without including the dll's header file?

C/C++ :: How To Build Array In A Function

Apr 6, 2014

I need to build an array in a function and return that array. Well, two arrays actually, which means I can't return it in the return statement.

Long term, this function/method is supposed to return two populated buffers for further processing. The buffers/arrays are loaded from a file. So, the size of the array is completely unknown until after the file is read. So, you can't have a fixed size array until the function is almost ready to return.

I'm hardcoding the arrays here for testing purposes, but eventually they will be loaded in from a file. That's the whole purpose of this.

Anyway, I need to pass the arrays that are created in this function/method to the caller. But I can't figure out how to do it. The code "almost" works, except that it's overwriting my array when it returns.

Here's the method:

bool GameModelClass::LoadBuffersFromPUNCFile(std::wstring PUNCFileName, VERTEX* &VertexListPointer, unsigned int* &IndexListPointer) {
VERTEX GroundVertexList[4] = {

[Code]....

VertexListPointer returns the correct data structure (actually its an array of structures). The problem is that the first time I use the other variables it over rights the array. The pointer still points to the same spot, but VertexBufferDescription is next to the VertexListPointer and so completely overwrites it.

What I "think" I want is to allocate the array in a totally different area of memory. VertexListPointer should be a pointer, not a contiguous block of memory. It should point to the contiguous block of memory elsewhere.

This is where my weak understanding of pointers comes back to bite me in the posterior end.

In the end, I just want to pass back two arrays/buffers to be used by the calling code.
