I am trying to write a function that calculates the Euclidean distance between two points described by
𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 = √(𝑥1 − 𝑥2)2 + (𝑦1 − 𝑦2)2
Input Prompt
Enter x1, y1, and x2, y2:
Output Prompt
The distance is XXXX.XXX
Replace XXXX.XXX with the calculated distance precise to three decimal points.

Write a program that creates the output shown in the Output Layout section below. The program should create 2 points with x and y coordinates as integers, prompt the user to input the x and y values for one of the points and randomly set the other (-99 to 99 range) and output the length of the radius line segment and the area of the circle that radius defines. In the following code I don't understand why am I splitting the y left and y right.
(closest distance between 2 points in 2D)
Am I splitting the y left and y right so that I can concatenate them afterwards and then build the strip,only according to these concatenated halves ?
PS : Finding the min. distance between sorted x right and x left works fine , only problem is with the strip.

As homework we were assigned to enter the following code to calculate the distance between two points on the x and y plane. The program should ask the user to enter two points then should calculate the distance between two points and print the distance on the screen.
My program will compile correctly but when attempting to run the actual program it doesnt do anything and some how completely skips over my main function...

Currently I am working on a program that will find the actual distance between two points on a grid. It also determines the angle of the line segment in degrees. Now, i need it to be able to find any other points on or near the line. It will be running in a loop to find each additional point sequentially until all the points have been plotted. Unfortunately, I am not entirely sure how this is done. So far, I think that I could develop an algorithm that converts the angle into a ratio of vertical movements to horizontal ones.

I know that the issue is around the array distance being of type double in the function get distance of type double. My question is how do i get around using the values from the distance array in the function to be used for calculations.

Sem is a pointer to semantic which is a struct type variable. I pass the sem into function yylex so i can fill the semantic.i and semantic.s(s points to an array). The problem is that when sem->i = a; is used inside yylex function, sem->s stops showing to the array.

I am currently learning "if statements" while doing a program that calculates the area of a triangle. My problem is that the result is always "0". I am pretty sure the problem lies within my math, but how I have set it up wrong.

I am trying to create a program that calculates fraction of time remaining when a student leaves during the middle of the semester. I have to use function files here. I am having trouble with the division in function long double tuitionfrac(int, int, int). No matter what numbers are entered, fractime gives an output of 0. I don't understand that.

I am working on a program that calculates the average of a list of test scores entered, with the list ended with a negative score (which is not calculated), as long as a user enters a name.

Here is my code and basically these are the steps. I feel like we have something good to work on but we keep getting errors.
a. Data to the program is input from a file of an unspecified length; that is, the program does not know in advance how many numbers are in the file.
b. Save the output of the program in a file.
c. Modify the function getNumber so that it reads a number from the input file (opened in the function main), outputs the number to the output file (opened in the function main), and sends
the number read to the function main. Print only 10 numbers per line.
d. Have the program find the sum and average of the numbers.
e. Modify the function printResult so that it outputs the final results to the output file (opened in the function main). Other than outputting the appropriate counts, this new definition of the function printResult should also output the sum and average of the numbers.

how would i go about writing up an equation for euclidian distance using c language. I am quite unfamiliar with the syntax's involved using squared and square roots.the equation for euclidian distance is: square root((Xv -Xu)^2 + (Yv-Yu)^2 +(Zv-Zu)^2)
The variables Xv, Yv and Zv represent the equation of vector 1 and then variables Xu, Yu and Zu represent the equation of vector 2. I have already put these into my program and i just need to know how to write that equation up there into the text file so that it works.
