C++ :: Print Custom Area Of Screen - Save As Image File

Sep 9, 2014

I am trying to automatically(periodically) print screen a custom area of the screen, save it as an image file (the image will have the same format always), and then use OCR to get the text in the image as usable string variables. Is this doable? I was looking into tesseract OCR but I find it a bit unclear.

C++ :: Hold Screen Via GUI To Console

May 15, 2013

I had a program (on console) that uses a third-part software to draw some graphs. In order to hold the graphs on the screen, I used cin.get(); and that worked.

Now I created a GUI with Qt. The code remains generally the same. The code continues to call the software to draw graphs (during drawing graphs, there is a console opened automatically). Butcin.get(); in the code cannot hold the graphs on screen anymore. The graphs appear and disappear immediately.

C++ :: Program To Emulate Full Screen Console

Dec 5, 2013

So, I'm making a program in C++ that emulates a full screen console... I used SetCurrentConsoleFontEx to set the font to 12x16 but it sucks...

Anyway, I read here: [URL] .... that also the console font can be changed, but I can't make it work! How can i set the font to Lucida Console? This is the function I use to change font size:

void setFontSize(int x, int y) {
PCONSOLE_FONT_INFOEX lpConsoleCurrentFontEx = new CONSOLE_FONT_INFOEX();
lpConsoleCurrentFontEx->cbSize = sizeof(CONSOLE_FONT_INFOEX);
GetCurrentConsoleFontEx(GetStdHandle(STD_OUTPUT_HANDLE), NULL, lpConsoleCurrentFontEx);
lpConsoleCurrentFontEx->dwFontSize.X = x;
lpConsoleCurrentFontEx->dwFontSize.Y = y;
SetCurrentConsoleFontEx(GetStdHandle(STD_OUTPUT_HANDLE), NULL, lpConsoleCurrentFontEx);
}

C++ :: Scanning A Header File To Save Image Data

Jun 11, 2013

I'm trying to read from a header file to take the image dimensions and other variables but I don't understand how to iterate through the "key" so it saves each line.

This is what the header file will always look like:

!INTERFILE :=
!imaging modality := nucmed
!version of keys := 3.3
;
!GENERAL DATA :=

[Code].....

Ideally it would just skip the keys that aren't wanted and keep moving through the lines. Should there be a for loop for the key (and if so, how does that work with pointers?) or should this method just be scratched...

Managed C++ And C++/CLI :: App That Shows Pixelated Picture In Window - Reference Image On Screen?

Jan 11, 2014

I am developing an app that shows a pixelated picture in a window. I am trying to capture the image, which is composed of a number of tiles processed from a mother image, but I am having difficulty since I can't reference the image on the screen. I have placed a rectangle around the image and my understanding is that I have get the window handle for the rectangle in order to save the Image as a jpg file. In the literature there is something about a Device Context and a window handle but my compiler throws out HWND and I don't really understand the device context. I am using Windows Forms, not native code.

C# :: Save Image In Layers And Then Load Layers Separately

Oct 4, 2013

I am programming an application in c# that allows the user to edit images. The user can use a Pen to write on the image, and the user can also use a highlighter (a big semi-transparent Pen) to highlight what they've written. I need the user to be able to erase only the highlighting without erasing the pen drawings.

My solution was to have the user draw on one graphics window when the pen is selected and draw on the other graphics window when the highlighter is selected. I will then enable the eraser on either graphics window depending on what the user wants to erase.

My program will let the user save the image and then load it into the program again for later editing. When I save the image, I have to compress the layers (different graphics windows) into one bitmap. When I load the bitmap back into my application, I lose my layers and cannot erase just the highlighting without also erasing the pen as well.

How can I save an image file with layers, and then recover the layers when my program starts up again?

I am not opposed to saving two images - one with the pen graphics window and the other with the highlighting. If I do that, how can I merge the two images into one layer when I load the images back into my program?

C++ :: Capture Output From EXE In A String

Mar 7, 2014

I am writing a small editor for RSL coding, and ive got an external program "3Delight" to compile the code.

Now i want the output from that exe to be captured in a string once the compilation is comlete, but all of the methods ive found online dont seem to work for me. Ive tried using _popen which works if i run a normal command like "dir", but not with the exe.

This is the function ive been using that works with the normal commands

std::string exec(const char* cmd) {
FILE* pipe = _popen(cmd, "r");
if (!pipe) return "ERROR";
char buffer[128];
std::string result = "";

[Code] .....

and this is how i was calling it, but it just returned an empty string, even though the exe printed "Compilation successful"

exec("""%DELIGHT%/bin/shaderdl" "E:/RenderManShaders/TestArea/Source/basicDiffuse.sl"")

Visual C++ :: Capture Of Window?

May 5, 2014

I want program to make bitmap from my Window. I also want to do add some additional steps which I will try to add later. But now I want to ask you how to fix the code. For some reason when I debug the code (break on line 73 of capture.cpp) there the pointer pBitmap is 0x00000000 . So how to correct the code to successfully capture Window? Here I give the complete codes:

stdafx.h

Code:
#pragma once
#include "targetver.h"
#include <stdio.h>

[Code].....

Feel free to set correct name of Window on line 17 for FindWindow() function.

PS: The code is remake of script to capture screen, which saved the bitmap to file. This is not what I want because I would be content if I could send (or maybe share!) the bitmap to ahk script which will ask my C++ program for the bitmap.

Visual C++ :: How To Capture Mouse Scroll For CMFCRibbonEdit Class

Oct 18, 2014

For a ribbon bar with edit controls (CMFCRibbonEdit) I want to handle the mouse scroll events for the edit controls. That is, when the user clicks and then scrolls on the edit it will navigate a predefined list of strings. I want to capture the scroll event in order to update the edit text step by step.

This kind of behavior is implemented by the Spin Edit; I don't want to use the spin edit control since it only uses a list of integers and the spin buttons are too small.

Is there a way to catch the mouse scroll event for the CMFCRibbonEdit control? How to approach message handling for the ribbon (other messages than the COMMAND allowed by the ribbon designer). I'm using VS2010 on Windows 7 and the ribbon was designed with the ribbon designer?
