C :: Number 1 Appears In Next Line Every Time On Typing A Character
May 17, 2014
Everytime I type a character, the number 1 appears in the next line. And i just keep getting the message "Wrong! I have more than that." even when I type a number bigger than 1023
Code:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <time.h>
int main(void) {
srand(time(NULL));
In this program what i'm doing is to search for a number when the vector is in order, and count how many times that number appears, the problem is that count how many times the number does not appear, but when its appear the program stays in an "standby mode" and the cursor does not move.
int buscarNumOrdenado (int x [MAX]) //MAX is the define { int num,d, LimiteInferior, LimiteSuperior,mitad; d=0; LimiteInferior = 0; LimiteSuperior = MAX-1;
I wrote a code that mimics a dice, my code so far will ask for the user to input a number at which they want to hold or no longer throw the dice, it will also ask the user how many roll simulations they would like to do.
If a 1 is rolled the turn is over and the score is 0
After this input is recieved the code goes into a loop until the values have been met.
I would to add probability to my code so I need to know how many times a certain number was rolled and this is where I am stuck.
An example of how I would like my code to work, let's suppose hold at number is 17
We role the dice until we roll a 17 or larger, but if we roll a 1, then our score is 0.
Let's suppose the number of simulations is 5 and for simulation 1 we roll
2 + 5 + 6 + 4 = 17
and for simulation 2 we roll
5 + 4 + 1, but since we rolled a 1, the score is 0,
for simulation 3 we roll
3 + 4 + 5 + 6 = 18
for simulation 4 we roll
4 + 4 + 6 + 6 = 20
for simulation 5 we roll
3 + 4 + 5 + 5 = 17 so that means we got
0: 1 time 1/5 = .20 17: 2 times 2/5 = .40 18: 1 time 1/5 = .20 19: 0 times 0/5 = .00 20: 1 time 1/5 = .20 21: 0 times 0/5 = .00 22: 0 times 0/5 = .00
In other words the idea is to roll a 17 or larger (or whatever the hold number happens to be), but if you roll a 1, then your score is a 0.
#include <iostream> #include <cstdlib> #include <ctime> using std::cout; using std::cin; using std::endl; int dieRoll();
i am trying to read a string using fgets and storing in an array i want to prevent fgets from storing the new line character on the array using the shortest means possible..
I am having problems printing "->" on the beginning of each line, im trying to do it as a loop and ending it when the user types "q". also i would like to know how to ignore text from the user when the input begings with a specific character. heres what ive done so far, and not currrently working as expected.
Code: #include <stdio.h> int main (void) { char prompt; printf("~~~ FRACTION CALCULATOR ~~~
my professor just increased the problem by saying the time value should be passed as command line arguments can anybdy tell the code to parse time as command line arguments
How can I create in my C++ program so a user can paste a text and then choose a character on specific line and place?. The above thing isn't that important. I just want to place a character on a specific line and place.
I mean something like this:
Enter a character:
You choosed " / "
On which line do want the character?
You choosed "Line 1 and 2"
Where do you want the the to appear on the line? (left or right)
I want to know how to dereference a void pointer through the way of typing it.
Lets just say that I malloc'd a huge bunch of memory and i can do whatever i want
void* randomData = malloc ( 1000000 );
And i decide to make my own virtual 'int'
I am not sure how to do this.
*( int* ) ( randomData + 10 ) = ( int ) 323453 //323453 can be an int variable aswell
Im not sure if this is the right way to do perform a dereference.
This is an overview of what has to be done: -The pointer has to be dereferenced -Cast the pointer as an int pointer so we can change it like a normal 4-byte int -Perform pointer arithmetic, so that the int can be placed anywhere we want
i have read a lot of about lists but i dont understand this. I know its something like dogs on leash where we have
dog1->dog2->dog3->.... and Code: struct DOG {char* (name of a dog of first leash) DOG* (next dog ) } I have written something like this but this doesnt work as i wanted Code: #include <iostream> using namespace std; struct line {
[Code]....
I wanted to make program where i can type XX numbers , then cout those numbers without changing the order, and my next exercise is to change order in this programme from end to start.
The objective: Open and read a CSV file one line at a time using SQL commands.
The problem: I am getting an error that I have a feeling may not point to the "real" problem.
Where I may have syntax or other errors in code.
stInputConn = "Provider=Microsoft.jet.OLEDB.4.0;Data Source=V:\IT\RE\Exports\;Extended Properties="text;HDR=YES;Format=Delimited(,)""; OleDbConnection cn = new OleDbConnection(stInputConn); stInputFileName = ConfigurationManager.AppSettings.Get("InputFile"); // the input file name is CSV_DataExport.CSV
[Code] .....
The last line (ExecuteReader) is where I get the OleDb Exception.
Any way to do it...its only works with the first letter. So i have a txt file with information such as de3 dn5 dn7 dw9 ds1 and how to get the letters and then the number.
example:
if de print this is de; and print the number that follow de
Code:
#include <stdlib.h> int main () { FILE * pFile; int c; pFile=fopen ("de3.txt","r"); if (pFile==NULL) perror ("Error opening file"); else
I created a function to check whether the first character of a string is a number or not by comparing it to every base 10 digit using a for loop. If it is, the string is valid, if it is not, the string is not valid
Code: //ensure the first character is not a number int ValidFirstChar(char FirstChar) { int IsChar = TRUE, DigitCount = 0; /*boolean value indicating whether the first character is a number or not.*/
//check through all base 10 digits for (DigitCount = 0; DigitCount <= 9; DigitCount++) { if ((int)FirstChar == DigitCount)
[Code] ....
I have checked for the case where the first character is a number but it is displaying the error message for it. I have tried typecasting the char variable but that has not worked.
progd->count was devised to stop the thread when the recursion ended by posting a message to the main window. When it reaches 1, the def procedure sends the WMU_DISC_DONE message to set the event
All that *appears* to work; however, if I cancel the recursion thread, the list view continues to populate for a bit and then deletels all but 1 item though I send the message LVM_DELETEALLITEMS.
If I move the (tmp->canceled == TRUE) test inside of the do-while, the app gets loopy.
Im programming a roguelike game using visual c++ Microsoft express 2010 and i made a multidimensional array for my first map. I have the walls as # and was wondering how i could turn those into ascii symbol 219. Also i need to know how to turn specific text certain colors.
I need a code that will search through string 1 and find the first place with a letter that also appears in string 2 and return the pointer of that place. This is what I wrote:
char strPbrk(const char *s1, const char *s2) { char p = *s1; for (int i = 0; i < strlen(s1); i++) for (int j = 0; j < strlen(s2); j++) if ((p+i) == *(s2+j)) return p; return NULL; }
but it continues to return wrong values idk what I'm doing wrong.
The function uses a "for" loop to print the given character the number of times specified by the integer.
How can I make a for loop to do that?
So.. my code looks like this:
// cpp : Defines the entry point for the console application // #include "stdafx.h" #include <iostream> using namespace std; void printMyInteger(int myInteger, char myChar) {
[Code] ....
So.. here is my error:
Error1error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before ')'d:workspaceuniversity ools for games and animationworkshopsweek 6week 6week 6week 6.cpp101Week 6 Error2error C2143: syntax error : missing ';' before ')'d:workspaceuniversity ools for games and animationworkshopsweek 6week 6week 6week 6.cpp101Week 6 3IntelliSense: expected an expressiond:workspaceuniversity ools for games and animationworkshopsweek 6week 6week 6week 6.cpp107Week 6
I have a file called example.txt . In that file, the int 123456 is stored. How can I read one independent number from that int? Lets say, I have an int variable called "Weight." How do I set weight equal to the number 1 from the int 123456 in the file?
Basically i have a 'HomeWindow' with a button 'OptionWindow'. My idea is that the 'OptionWindow' button will open up the 'OptionWindow'. Which will give the user three options 'Option1', 'Option2' and 'Option3'. If they pick 'Option1' then in the 'HomeWindow' in a stackpanel i want it to display 'UserControl1'. Where as if they pick 'Option2' then in the 'HomeWindow' in a stackpanel i want it to display 'UserControl2'.
If you need some of my code that i have already then let me know what you need as i have a lot of it so can't paste it all in one go. But the new thing i need is the way of making the user-controls in the 'HomeWindow' change depending on what is selected in the 'OptionWindow'.
I have an assigment to make program which deletes from sentence all words with character count which is equal to pair number , for example - [ I like C ] and the result of this program should be [I C] because the word like contains 4 characters which is pair and it should be removed.
So I started writing my program and I am stuck at this block of code -
#include <stdio.h> #include <stdlib.h> main () { char text[100], blank[100]; int c=0,d=0,i,j; gets(text);
[Code] ....
To explain what is happening - I go through all string and search for first ' ' space symbol and check its value. If it is pair then my program prints that it is not pair[because last character before space had not pair number of characters], but the hardest part comes in when i have two not pair words , because space takes one character and now when i check if i%2 == 1 the answer is false [0] for the second word .
How to compare the time fetched from two week number of different year using C,C++.
I have used a naming convention for the files generated in a linux system. The naming convention will have the week number and date's day indication like Monday means M. I need to compare the two files of same week but on different years and calculate the time?
