C++ :: Missing A Line From The Output?
Apr 4, 2013
I'm not too sure why I'm missing a line from the output. I've been going over my code like crazy and something seems to cause a line which would be size = 0: [nothing here] missing in my output. Here's my code:
Code: class binSTree: public binTree<T>{
public:
void insert(const T& x); //insert node with value x
bool search(const T& x); //searches leaf with value x
[Code].....
Other files are included but they are 100% correct as I used them in my past couple of assignments. The public version of remove is suppose to call the search function and determine the result of the search for a leaf with value x. Calls private remove and returns true. Otherwise it returns false if the search isn't successful.

void printList(int list[],int cnt,int numsPerLine){
for(int i=0;i<cnt;i++){
cout<<list[i]<<" ";
if((i%numsPerLine)==0)
cout<<"
";
} }
So cnt is 20, numsPerLine is 10, and list[] is initialized with a const = 20
i%numsPerLine on the first loop equals 0 and thus outputs a new line.
I'd like it to new line after 10.

I have been trying to make a small program that I will be using in a larger program that will make the user press space to see the next line of output.
Not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm pretty sure that I need to put the space that the user would enter into an output file, and the read the input file
It runs, but it doesn't allow me press space before showing the next line.
I added a getline(cin, charVar) before, but I got a whole bunch of errors.
#include <iostream>
#include <string>
#include <cctype>
#include <cstdlib>
#include <fstream>
using namespace std;
// function for dialouge
[Code] ....

Taken from Accelerated C++ book, I modified those code to use getline() instead of std::cin >> only to find out that the output has extra line. Why is that so?
#include <iostream>
#include <string>
int main() {
std::cout << "What is your name?" << std::endl;
std::string name;
[Code] .....
What is your name?

I'm trying to get this programme to work but I can't get it to output the string data at the end of the line.I have copied and pasted the line in question below but it may be a prob with the prog further down.
It reads character input ok but doesn't put one string into another or recognize when a string is quoted in a printf.
Code:
printf("%s what is your second name?
", surname, name2, name);
#include <stdio.h>
int main ()
{
char name[20];
[Code] ....

I am having an issue with the statement "Both the input and output files' names should be read from the command line." I don't understand what this means or what I need to do.

My program has two errors, they are intellisense:An array may not have elements of this type. and missing subscript
Code:
#define ROWS 20
#define COLLUMS 40
void MirrorArrays(char readarray[ROWS][COLLUMS], char *writearray[ROWS][COLLUMS]) {
int i,i2;
for( i = 0; i <= ROWS; i++)
[Code] .....It has both of these errors for both of my arrays.

We just started going into classes for my C++ class. Everything looks right but the error is saying i'm missing an argument in my getspending call.
Heres the code:
for (int i; i < 0; i++) {
cout << members[i].getfirst << " "<< members[i].getlast << endl;
cout << "member ID: " << members[i].getmem << endl;
cout << "They have purchased " << members[i].getbooks << " books" << endl;
cout << "$" << members[i].getspending << endl;
}
Here's my get spending function:
double memberType::getspending() {
return spent;
}
What argument am I missing?

I have an Array of [3] [3] and by default the numbers will be in following format, which is not visible -
1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
I need to get the numbers from User, example -
0 4 0
9 1 0
5 0 7
if a User fills random numbers like above, then my program needs to fill the '0's with the missing numbers from 1 to 9 in an ascending order as below -
2 4 3
9 1 6
5 8 7
This is my problem and i need a logic for this in C++.

I'm trying to write a program where in you input 9 numbers from 1-10, then it determines the missing number. Here's my code. It has a lot of errors. I want to improve it by setting conditions like no repetition/ 0< number <10.
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main() {
int d[]={1,2,3,4,5,6,1,7,9, 10};
int i=0,j=0,c=0,missing=0;
for (i = 0; i < 9; i++)
[Code] ....
I'm so new to C++. It always prints out the number 10 even though I typed it already. How to determine the missing one.

I am new to C programming and I am trying to compile and run an exponent program my instructor posted for us but it is giving me an error saying:
Warning c4550: expression evaluates to a function which is missing an argument list.
Why this is happening (she doesn't seem to find anything wrong with the code). From what I could gather there is some issue with the math but idk. It is supposed to prompt for the number and the exponent to raise it to, then calculate and output the result.
Code:
#include <stdio.h>
int main() {
int base, exp;
long long int value=1;
[Code] .....

I'm completely new to pointers and have a homework assignment due where I'm supposed to create a user defined dynamic array for player scores. The only errors I'm experiencing is a C2109: subscript requires pointer type and only on the lines that use the int *score; variable (57, 62, 64, 69, 71, and 82). I've already tried adding = nullptr to the variable and that didn't work.
#include<iostream>
#include<string>
#include<iomanip>

void players(string[], int[], int);
void average(int[], int);

1) The first complain of valgrind is at the line where I use fgets and its telling me (invalid write of size x), but I have allocated my line to 56000 and the read line is shorter, why is there a write size error then :S?
2) at the line where I realloc where I try to shrink the space he's telling me: Address .... is 0 bytes inside a block of size 56000, But I know i need only this space so why is there a write over space error :S??

So I'm reading a file line by line and storing it backwards into a list. So if the file has has this format...
1
2
3
4
The code should store each line in a list as such...
4, 3, 2 ,1
Instead the code will store the last variable in all nodes. So the final list will look like this...
4, 4, 4, 4
Here is my code...
struct node *head = NULL;
int i;
while(read(in, &i, sizeof(int)) != 0) {
struct node *temp = malloc(sizeof(*temp));
temp->line = &i;
temp->next = head;
head = temp;
}

I was loaded a bmp file in my mfc window and stored rgb data in a file.My image size is 320x240.
Is possible to pick a single point (location) from that bmp image (Not the whole window)?
i like to plot a line graph using the pointed single line data using the stored file data?
here R is X Axis and G & B is Y Axis.
If i have 2D array of data means how can i plot the line graph?
