C++ :: How To Implement Array Based Listing And Searching

I'm trying to open a text file from my computer and randomly output a random line of text (string) onto the console. How do I go about doing this?
So for example, if my text file, "StringTextFile.txt" had 50 rows of strings datas (not integers or chars), how would I randomly generate a line of word from the 50 rows of words in the StringTextFile.txt and output it onto the console?
This is how far I've gotten, which isn't much, but somewhere. I don't even know if my code even makes sense, at this point I'm just randomly shoving code together.

I tried listing files using the code given in "[URL] ..." the program listed all the files present in the current dirctory but if i change the drive and the directory to such as
"C:UsersBaaooDownloadsdirect.h function"
the program does not list files name.

Basically I initialize an int array of size 10 with zeros. Then element 7 is changed to 1. Via cin I collect a user input (integer) which is the number to be searched.
Now the problem is that the search function from the book is somehow not working. I added a function to see how the array looks like and there is definitely one element with value 1 that should be found, but it simply isn't. The function always returns -1 (element not found).
The program compiles, but doesn't work as it is supposed to.

I have a linear search algorithm set up to search through an array of class objects it works but the output does not match, when i search for a particluar name in the array the 1st and third values int the array are found but the second value is not found..

I am using the gcc compiler in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and I get the following error:

Proper Usage is:
print_it filename.ext
I am not sure whether I should continue looking into this but even when I tried compiling and running it on Windows, the .exe file won't even launch. The other ones do but this first one doesn't.
Questions:
1. What should be done to make this program run?
2. Even though the book says "don't care" if the reader does not understand the items (It's Day 1/Lesson 1), I would still like it to run as I don't want to experience compiling and running problems in the future. Should I even bother doing this section of the book or is it obsolete and should be skipped?

i was making a quiz and i want to show some pictures as questions to recognize i but i don't know how to show different pictures without listing the names of the files in the program, i mean i will generate a random no and based on the no the file name should change in the code like if the no is 1 it should find '1.jpg' and show it and if the no next time comes 23 then it should find '23.jpg'.

My program generates an array of random numbers. I want to then search a specific number within the array. If the number is in the array then a message apopears on the console saying that its there. I'm using the binary search algorithm to do this.

knows if there is a ready made function in C++ to sort (numerically or alphabetically) multiple arrays based on a particular array?
i.e. Imagine you have multiple arrays or a multi-dimentional array containing data about users (name, age, etc.)
Is there a function that for example can sort it by name, and automatically shift the age so they still correspond to the correct user name?

I first want to say that i am trying to solve my code without Pointers.
My goal is to..
1. Construct an empty 2D array with a capacity of 25. (list[25][2];)
2. Empty(): test if the stack is empty
3. Push(): add a value to the stack in the (list[i][0] = value;) position and (list[i][1] = previous list[i][0] position)
4. Top(); read the value(list[i][0]) at the top(count) of the stack
5. Pop(); remove the value at the top of the stack (list[i]= 0;)
6. Display(); displays all the elements in the stack going from the top to bottom order. (shows array index, data value, and next array index)
I have hit a road block and don't know what to fix or where to go from here.

My .csv file is like:
Bone,origin,deep/superficial,location, action.
with list of 38 bones.
This is my main.cpp:

WPF window I'm working on. I have a window that has a textbox to enter a name to search a database table for, and when the search button is clicked, the ID for that username will be returned to a separate textbox. So, I have the value entered into the textbox to be searched for stored in a variable, I'm selecting the ID from the table when the name in the variable is found, storing the result in a DataTable, and then in my foreach loop, if I find the name (the name column being index 1 in the table), I set set the ID result textbox to equal the ID for that name (the ID column being index 0 in the table). I think the foreach part is what's throwing me off. Maybe the column stuff? My Users table is like;

I am trying to write a program to search a library file with the name of a book or author and return the books that match the searched string in some way. For instance, if I search "Develop" it should display Game Development Essentials(Novak) and Developing Games in Java(Brackeen) and tell me that 2 records were found. Currently, it shows all the records regardless of what i search for, even if it is jibberish. Am I missing something in my functions? should I include the code that accesses these functions?

I have a multimap with over 300k entries defined like so: std::multimap<std::string, std::string> filedata;
Using the following code and std::multimap::equal_range, I am able to successfully search for a word in the multimap and get needed data:
