Visual C++ :: Rename Files With Random Names In A Folder

May 30, 2014

I need a code for renaming multiple(bulk or all ) files in a folder.

I found one batch file script but it renaming with numbers only. But i want differntly.

[URL] .....

Example:

In a folder there are 100 images and all numbered with some digits or names.

assume that all images are belongs to "john" , so i want to rename all images with "john+ a random string".

here a random string means -> it has an array with 3000 english words, (you can predefine them by downloading from dictonary).

In the script the 3000 names are fixed, but the 1st name will be changed by my wish. that my be john, mary, sai, pavan etc...

Suggestion: you do not need to enter all 3000 words in array manually. some javscript codes are there to read input of each and evey line and them into an array.

C++ :: How To Implement Array Based Listing And Searching

Nov 23, 2014

I'm trying to open a text file from my computer and randomly output a random line of text (string) onto the console. How do I go about doing this?

So for example, if my text file, "StringTextFile.txt" had 50 rows of strings datas (not integers or chars), how would I randomly generate a line of word from the 50 rows of words in the StringTextFile.txt and output it onto the console?

This is how far I've gotten, which isn't much, but somewhere. I don't even know if my code even makes sense, at this point I'm just randomly shoving code together.

C :: Print Listing With Line Numbers - Cannot Execute / Run Program

Feb 18, 2013

The problem is with the first "Type and Run," where the code looks like this:

Code:
/* print_it.c--This program prints a listing with line numbers! */
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <stdio.h>

void do_heading(char *filename);
int line = 0, page = 0;

[Code] ....

I am using the gcc compiler in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and I get the following error:

Code:
print_it.c: In function "main":
print_it.c:36:15: error: "stdprn" undeclared (first use in this function)
print_it.c:36:15: note: each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each function it appears in
print_it.c: In function "do_heading":
print_it.c:49:16: error: "stdprn" undeclared (first use in this function)

I was told that "stdprn" can be recognised by a DOS based compiler and the book says I can try using "stdout" instead. It looks like this now:

Code:
/* print_it.c--This program prints a listing with line numbers! */
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <stdio.h>

void do_heading(char *filename);
int line = 0, page = 0;

[Code] .....

It compiled OK with the gcc compiler but I only get this when I run the program:

Code:
Proper Usage is:
print_it filename.ext

I am not sure whether I should continue looking into this but even when I tried compiling and running it on Windows, the .exe file won't even launch. The other ones do but this first one doesn't.

Questions:

1. What should be done to make this program run?
2. Even though the book says "don't care" if the reader does not understand the items (It's Day 1/Lesson 1), I would still like it to run as I don't want to experience compiling and running problems in the future. Should I even bother doing this section of the book or is it obsolete and should be skipped?

C++ :: How To Iterate Through A For Loop Randomly

Apr 5, 2013

So I have a vector that I want to iterate through randomly, and by random I mean that each element is only accessed once but I don't want to shuffle the vector because the vector elements are large. So I want this functionality:

std::vector<SomeLargeObjectWithoutACopyConstructor> myvec;
// ...fill myvec
std::random_shuffle(myvec.begin(),myvec.end());
for (auto& value : myvec)
{
// do stuff
}

Only I don't want to do this because the object type has no copy constructor and is large, so I don't want to shuffle the vector, just the iteration path. Is there a simple and efficient way of iterating randomly through a vector while ensuring that each object is only accessed once?

As you can see in the code I have used Array.Clear method to remove the selected question from the array to prevent duplicate questions being selected. For some reason this is not working! The "Randomly" selected question is ALWAYS the 5th element [4] of the randomQuestions array and this element is duplicated for each iteration of the loop.

public void shuffleQuestions() {

C++ :: How To Define New Color That Is Randomly Generated In Allegro

Feb 5, 2014

How do i define a new color that is randomly generated in allegro.

I have this code here in the header file.

Code:

//FILE : circledefs.h
//PURP : Define some constants for circle & background
#ifndef CIRCLEDEFS_H
#define CIRCLEDEFS_H
#define NUMCIRCLES 3
//The frames per second for the timer
#define FPS 60

[Code]...

And what i want to do here is learn how to create a random number gen. Now a few questions if you don't mind telling me is.

1 - can I create 3 random generators in this header file? Or do I have to do this in main.

2 - If I do have to do this in main can I still create this defined RANDOM as a color.

3 - I am sooooo new to this all i know is cin and cout code for C++, so will i need to know more about pointers to do this.

4 - for fun how hard would it be to make a game in allegro that uses music to define how the enemy moves and attacks. (yes that would be the final project.
