Is it possible to fill a textbox on a webpage using the onkeydown html element in c# using the web control built in. i am totally aware of the normal methods of doing this but the normal methods have failed to work....

1. Open a browser and navigate to a URL (manually)
I would like to do the following from a windows application:
2. I will click "Fill data" button from Windows screen,
3. We have to identify what are the browsers opened in the PC and which browser has correct URL
4. Once the correct browser is identified with the URL, we have to fill in data (received from scanner) in the html page opened in the browser.
How to achieve above functionality.
I was wondering if there was a way for me to send information, say a username and password, to a webpage via a c++ function. I was unsure how exactly to word it, but I did attempt to google it. Here is an example of what I mean.
App starts -> goes to "Https://www.my-site.com/?user=$username&password=$password" -> username/password is valid -> logs them in on desktop app
I do not know much about php, but I am assuming the ?user=$username is setting a variable, correct? I am familiar with sockets, but it seems using the above method, this could be possible without sockets, would it?
Important part:
That is the method that minecraft uses to login players, the question here is what function could I start to send the desktop app to the webpage.
EDIT:: After looking a little more I find that it is probably not possible without sockets, which is fine; however I don't know how to do it still, I would prefer to not use external libraries, such as Curl.
I'm trying to make a program that will use Curl to retrieve just the text from a website and store it as a string. I'm trying to look at the curl manual to figure out what I need to use, but I'm confused since I'm not familiar with HTML terms. What lib functions I would need to make this program?

I know how to make a console application open a browser say like by entering

But that just goes to the browsers default start up page. The code to make it open a website of my choice (if its possible to on a console app).
(BTW I'm using Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a global list that contains smaller lists of char arrays. I have an issue where when I'm reading back the inner lists the last element of one list seems to point to first element of the next.
So my data looks like the below (values separated by commas with the pairs separated by tabs. The last pair in a line is the same as the first). When I read the first list back instead of seeing "456.678,678.98" as the last element in the list. I see "435.67,234.98" twice: at the end of the first list and start of the other. I have debugged when the list is populated and can see the correct values going in so I can't figure what's happening.

I have an std list of type double.. and the list is always guaranteed to have just 2 elements. I need to get the value of element 2 minus element 1. What is the least amount of code to accomplish that?

I am making a web browser and I have successfully made it so it shows the actual html but I want to know how to run the html within the program. I am using mac so it can't be the #include "windows.h" stuff and preferably I would like it to be cross-platform.

I am able to create specific shapes with random attributes, but I am unsure how to have the function create a random shape...
Also, the function "box" is meant to create a black border around the shapes. It does this, but I do not know how to make it so that the other shapes do not show up along the lines of this "box."
I guess it appears that certain shapes are "layered" over top of others? ie. My circles/ellipses always show up on top of the rects/squares/box.Currently I have this:

When I run the program, All three Shapes are drawn but only the Rectangle is filled in! Why?
set_color works for the three and apparently the set_fill_color is defined for all Shapes and it too should work but why it doesn't work for Circle and Ellipse?

So on HTML page I have area for some possible input (url, name, email, etc) and that info is passed to c++ and calculated info and may email someone; or pull info from text file and display on html page. Realizing PHP or something similar would be easier, I really want to make these calls from HTML pages. ???
