C/C++ :: Reading A Webpage To Determine Whether The Item Is In Stock Or Not

I would like to make a simple program that will go to a online vendor's website to check for stock. I figure that the best way of doing this is to make the program download the webpage's HTML source code then search for the area where the stock availability is.
For example, on this webpage. I could make the program search between
<p class="stockstatus">
and
</span></p>
for
Sold Out
to determine whether the item is in stock or not.
I have a couple of questions. First of all, is this the most viable way to go about checking whether an item is in stock? Second, how should I go about coding it?

I'm writing a program of a stock market where i read from a file and sort with symbols and percent gain/loss. I have completed sorting with symbols but having trouble establishing the percent gain loss. First i designed and implemented the stock object. call the class stockType. main components of a stock are the stock symbol, stock price and number of shares. Second we have to create a list of stock objects. call the class to implement a list of stock objects stockListType. To store the list of stocks, i declared a vector and called the component type of this vector stockType. Because the company requires me to produce the list ordered by percent gain/loss, i need to sort the stock list by this component.
However, i'm not to physically sort the list by component percent gain/loss; instead i should provide a logic ordering with respect to this component. To do so i added a data member, a vector to hold the indices of the stock list ordered by the component percent gain/loss and i called this array indexByGain. I am going to use the array indexByGain to print the list. The elements of the array indexByGain will tell which component of the stock list to print next. I have trouble going about how to implement the function sortStockGain(). Below is my entire code and the txt file. I have sort symbols working but dont know how to implement the sort by gain.

I have two menu items. When item 1 is disabled, I want item 2 to be disabled as well. In the OnUpdate handler of menu item 1, I have tried to use "t_pMenu = pCmdUI->m_pMenu;", "t_pMenu = pCmdUI->m_pSubMenu;" and "t_pMenu = pCmdUI->m_pParentMenu;" but I always get NULL t_pMenu. How can I achieve this purpose?

I was wondering if there was a way for me to send information, say a username and password, to a webpage via a c++ function. I was unsure how exactly to word it, but I did attempt to google it. Here is an example of what I mean.
App starts -> goes to "Https://www.my-site.com/?user=$username&password=$password" -> username/password is valid -> logs them in on desktop app
I do not know much about php, but I am assuming the ?user=$username is setting a variable, correct? I am familiar with sockets, but it seems using the above method, this could be possible without sockets, would it?
Important part:
That is the method that minecraft uses to login players, the question here is what function could I start to send the desktop app to the webpage.
EDIT:: After looking a little more I find that it is probably not possible without sockets, which is fine; however I don't know how to do it still, I would prefer to not use external libraries, such as Curl.

I know how to make a console application open a browser say like by entering

But that just goes to the browsers default start up page. The code to make it open a website of my choice (if its possible to on a console app).

What the code below is not doing is returning a value for item to my variables (item1, item2, etc..) I'm having a problem with removing an item from a queue. At first in the debugger I got SIGTRAP but I don't get it anymore but the problem still exists. When you try to remove an item from the queue the first nothing happens. Here's the code below compile it and you see what I'm talking about.

How can I get the items from a list into textboxes. I am doing an windows form application in visual studio.
I have the first form with a couple of textboxes.
I want the inputs be saved in a list. And then displayed in another form. How to move on. The class with the list looks like this:

I have a C# WPF program that takes a SQL query and populates a column from an Oracle database into a listbox on the form. I would like to be able to compare all items populated in the listbox, and run a SQL query for each item, populating those values into a different listbox.
So far, I have this code:

I am trying to write a function that inserts an item into this binary tree in C++.
