C/C++ :: Program Cannot Find Words In The File If They Are On Another Line

I wrote this code to search words in the file and display if the program found the word or not. when i write the words in the file on the same line (without the endl) like this :
w_toFile << "gilbert";
w_toFile << "lara";
w_toFile << "rana";
i can search any word.
but when i write them with the endl, the program can find only the first word. what can i do to make the program find any word even if they are each on a line?

I wrote the below code to find the line with "abc" as my parameter to strTosearch. I expected to the line 1st line but, this function always match the 2nd line. What am I missing here?
I wanted "found" to be "abc def hgi SSS".

How would i get the total amount of elements From the input file(The .dat file) and then store them in a variable?Here is an example to show you what i want. If a line on the .dat file looked like this

I'm trying to make a program that will search for a line in a text file using a non default delimitor at the start of the line. An example line in the text file would be as follows:

I have been able to use the find function to search for and return the 'F' character but would like it to then display the whole corresponding line. Is this possible with the find function?

I'm currently on an exercise that specifies that I find any repeated words, "the the" for example, in a string, print the word that is repeated and how many times said word is repeated using a while loop that reads one word at a time and break statements when a repeated word is found. Having a bit of a falling out with iterators tonight and I'm not doing to well.

I need to find 2 similar words in one sentence and i need to find how much symbols are between these two words. I can't figure out the algorithm.
For example sentence would be-
This is nice table and nice chair.
Similar words are- nice
Symbols between them are 11 or 8(dont know if space is count as symbol)

I seem to be missing a concept or 2 here ... I am tasked with writing a program that reads text from a file and outputs each line to the screen as well as to another file PRECEDED by a line number ...
In addition, I have to Print the line number at the start of the line and right-adjusted in a field of 3 spaces ...
Follow the line number with a colon then 1 space, then the text of the line.
Another kicker, is I have to grab the data 1 character at a time and write code to ignore leading blanks on each line.

I am trying to read a file line by line and then do something with the informations, so my method looks like this:

1) The first complain of valgrind is at the line where I use fgets and its telling me (invalid write of size x), but I have allocated my line to 56000 and the read line is shorter, why is there a write size error then :S?
2) at the line where I realloc where I try to shrink the space he's telling me: Address .... is 0 bytes inside a block of size 56000, But I know i need only this space so why is there a write over space error :S??

So I'm reading a file line by line and storing it backwards into a list. So if the file has has this format...

The code should store each line in a list as such...
4, 3, 2 ,1
Instead the code will store the last variable in all nodes. So the final list will look like this...
4, 4, 4, 4
