C/C++ :: Error In Basic Username / Password Verification Program
May 16, 2014
I tried to build a basic username-password verification program; I already have 2 text documents, usr.txt and pass.txt in which username and password are stored. Then have written this program to check the username and password, but every time it says Access Denied.
this is really important i searched an example code about "Username and Password Validation between Server and Client" through internet a LOT and i couldn't find anything..
I am trying to build a program that takes a user password (6+ characters, One uppercase, one lower case, and one number), and checks for errors. The idea is that if the user is doing something wrong (say, forgetting to use an uppercase letter), the program will tell them what the error is, and prompt them to enter the program again.
I get through the building process without errors, but whenever I run the program, I get this error: [URL] ....
Here is my code:
#include <iostream> #include <cctype> using namespace std; bool checkPass(char [], int); //Password Checking Function char convert(string);
[Code] ....
According to the box, the error appears on line 56 and 68.
Everything is working okay with name1 and pass1, but if I try to log in with different credentials, for example name2 and pass2 it says "invalid details"
Here is my code:
string user, chuser; string pass, chpass; string los; ifstream loginData("logindata.txt"); cout << "Please type in your username:" << endl; getline(cin, user);
I am trying to create a login that accepts a user login and password. it should accept 3 tries in which when the user enters their username the system should tell whether if the username is correct if not it should display a message saying invalid username and directs the user to register like entering their dob and name. But I cannot seem to get this part run correctly.
#include<stdio.h> #include<conio.h> #include<stdlib.h> #include<string.h> void main() { char userId[10]; char passwrd[10]; int p = 0;
I mainly code plugins for Cinema 4D .... I used to code in COFFEE (a javascript like language, only for Cinema 4D) and python. But, recently, I started coding in C++.
I start my development on a Mac, using Xcode. But then, to generate Windows versions of my plugins, I take my source code to Visual Studio, perform the necessary adjustments, and create Win32 and Win64 code.
Lately, I was trying to devise a scheme to protect my plugins from being pirated. Yes, I know it is virtually impossible, but if I could make it harder for hackers to crack my plugins, it would be fine. I made it work fine in python and in C++, but only in Xcode.
In Windows it is difficult. I only need to be able to access a username/password protected folder in my server and check if there is a file there. I don't even need to read the content of the file (but it would be nice to be able to do that too).
I started out using the cURL library but it is so complicated to make it work. I need 32 and 64 bit versions. Then I also have to include three .dll files in the folder of the application (that means that I would have to ask to the people who buy my plugins to copy three additional files to the main application folder... not a good thing )
So, any way to access a username/password protected folder on the net? (the username/password is generated in my code so, of course, I know what are the username/password to provide).
Also, I would need a way for the code to be completely self-contained, meaning that the users would not have to manually add any other files (libraries), besides the folder containing my plugin.

I am having trouble with an assignment. The assignment consists of a basic encryption and decryption program already written for me, I just have to write the encryption function. What we have to get the program to do is enter an integer and a text, and get the program to increment each letter in the text by the integer given. I did this by using a for loop and incrementing each value in the string by the integer.
However, I still can't get it to decrypt and I need the program to work with only a-z letters (if I increment each letter by 3 and I have the letter Z, it should go to Z+3 = C).
I attached the description of the attachment and below are the codes: The first file does not need to be edited.
Code: /*******************Programming Assignment 1***************/ /****************Caesar's substitution cipher**************/ /*****************YOU MUST NOT EDIT THIS FILE**************/ /****Substitute alphabets in a string using rotation key***/ /****Leave all other characters unchanged******************/ /****Confirm correct encryption by decrypting**************/
#include <stdio.h> void Swap(int *x, int *y); int *Largest(int *array, int size); int main() { int a, b, i; int c[10]; int maxaddress; }
[code]...
My swap function works fine, but I am trying to find the ADDRESS of the largest element in my array and I am getting an error using gcc on my "return &largest;" and my printf line in my main function.How can I fix this and return the address of the largest?
So I need to make a program that recieves a 10 letter only password, then once the password is entered, it starts off as AAAAAAAAAA...AAAAAAAAAB...AAAAAAAAAC...etc, Until it gets the correct password, which it then stops. This is for a science fair project on cyber security not for malicious purposes ...
im trying to write a program that prompts the user to enter three numbers and then prints them vertically (each on one line), first forward and then reversed. this is how the design should look:
enter three numbers: 1 43 54
your numbers fowards:
1 43 54
your numbers backwards:
54 43 1
this is what i have thus far when it comes to code....
#include <stdio> int main (void) { // local declarations int a; int b; int c
add more code given bellow program that means (( you can input a password and the output checking the password is valid or not and also the password is hard or weak)) the program,s output show....the given password is too strong or strong or weak and also check the password is valid
Code: #include<iostream.h> #include<conio.h> #include<string.h> void main() { clrscr(); int i=0,flag=1; cout<<"Enter the password.";
[Code] ....
When I input the password, the Backspace and the Enter keys are not working as they should. Also, I want to know if I can press enter only once to input the password, not twice.
I am trying to send yahoo mail using socket program.
Using the commands like ehlo, starttls, auth login, data,.,quit.
but starttls is error. yahoo close itself. one more thing i use this same method for gmail is working.
The problem is we must enable the ssl authentication. Like System.net mail in .net package smtp.enablessl=true. how i enable ssl authentication in starttls in c++ program
I am new to C++ and am stuck on a program. I've got to create a password check program that makes sure the password rules are followed. Below is the code and the rules i have typed in the comments at the beginning of the program. I have to use loops and cant use arrays for this.
#include <iostream> #include <string> #include <cctype> using namespace std; int main() { //Prompt user to entered a password to be tested cout << "Password must be at least 8 characters long." << endl;
I am making a very basic parent/child class based program that shows polymorphism. It does not compile due to a few syntax errors reading "function call missing argument list. Lines 76 and 77, 81 and 82, and 86 and 87.
#include<iostream> using namespace std; class people { public: virtual void height(double h) = 0; virtual void weight(double w) = 0;
I'm trying to develop a deeper knowledge of how loops work (and what better way todo that than a dynamic password guesser). My main problem lies with the conflict between data types, as I try to point to a char at a specific index position of the password guess.
See in my code (at line 57):
Code: #include <iostream> #include <iterator> #include <algorithm> #include <string> #include <cstdlib> #include <iomanip> using namespace std; string AlphaNum("abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ0123456789");//62 possible characters int size = AlphaNum.length();//should be 62
[Code] ....
This is annoying, because strings are arrays of characters themselves.
I have an assignment to create a program that will display the duplicate numbers that were entered by a user. I have the code finished and I have covered the basic requirements of the assignment. However, during my testing I found that if I enter anything other than a whole number (i.e. char or float) the program will run out and exit. I would like to add a little code to verify that the user has entered a whole number. I cannot seem to get this to work though. I have written other codes that verify if a number is above and below a certain value, I just do not know how to look for a certain type of entry.Here is my code:
int main() { int number[20]; int duplicateNumber[20]; int i, j, k, counter = 0; // Get number input from the user for (i = 0; i < 20; i++) { printf("Please enter a whole number %d: ", (i + 1));
I'm trying to create a simple program that reads in the user's first name, middle name, and last name. Then inside of the userName function, I want it to only take the first letter of firstName, first letter of middleName, and then just output the full last name. So for example: if your name was John Kevin Smith, it would output jksmith. I'm having a lot of compile issues due to the pointers. I have to use the function in this code, so the pointers are needed.
I'm trying to create a piece of code similar to the code I have created on the new username section which will allow me to put certain restrictions on how my new users log in i.e the password length and the the need for a numeric digit. I also need storing my new members details in my previously created array.
case 'N': //Set up new user Console.Write(" Create new Member details "); Console.Write(" Create new Username must be 8 characters, all letters, 1 Capital letter");
the code use in above link is good but one problem i cant able to use backspace to remove mistake if user made any mistake he cant able to remove the mistaken character
