Visual C++ :: Include Library Paths In VS 2012 Through The New Property Pages?
Jan 30, 2013
I am trying to include library paths in VS 2012 through the new property pages.I downloaded and installed mpich2-64 bit libraries under "C:Program FilesMPICH2include" and set the include path in Microsoft.cpp.x64.user property file so the path now looks like
For each project in a VS solution it's possible to stipulate per-project folders that get searched in addition to the folders that you've set globally for Visual Studio.
Which folders take priority? Do the project's folders get searched first? Or do the global folder get searched first? Or is it possible to select one set as having priority over the other?
So I am using Visual Studio 2012 Professional, this is C++ code. I am just trying to get the remainder from a very simple division. Nothing difficult, heres the code:
double getProbability(){ int rd = random(); int max = numeric_limits<int>::max(); double result = rd % max; cout << "Probability: " << result << " "; return result; }
When I look at the values in debug I get:
max 2147483647 rd 1804289383 result 1804289383.0000000
That is completely wrong. The answer should be 0.840188. What is going on here?
random() just returns a number from a vector that was prepopulated with "random" integers. Not really random, but that isn't all that important. What is important is why on earth is a % operation returning such a huge number. I assigned the values to variables so I could look at them in the debugger. I know I am going to probably get a thousand different ways that I could do this "better" but again, that isn't what I am looking for. I would just like to know why the % operation is doing what it is doing?
I am using visual studio 2012.....in below code i m writing data in to a test.txt file but i dont know with which key file stop accepting char...i tried ctrl+z and ctrl+d but not working ....
Here the max sdk plugin is looking at X:projects rather than x:program files (x86)autodeskmaxsdk Inside the autodesk folder, there is a projectsettingspropertysheets subfolder where the plugin is looking for.
Now an error pops up saying it needs X:projectsprojectsettingspropertysheets....How can I fix that?
I have been playing around with property sheets/property pages and have been successful in getting them to work in a secondary dialog by calling the property sheet using DoModal().
How to get the property sheet to display on the main dialog of a dialog application.
I am using VS2008 and CMFCPropertySheet and CMFCPropertyPage.
I want to create the choose_directory_Automatically property if its not exists. But I don't know how. If the CreateIProp method returns me a pointer in lpPropData how can I put the PropTag and the Value in it?
I have already implemented change the property if it exists already but the Outlook Addressbook stays on automatically until I or the user creates this property. I took a look with OutlookSpy at this property but I could not come any further.
Later i used trial version of vc2010 and created a static library using the below link. Its worked. [URL] .....
But now I'm using VC2003.Details as follows,
Microsoft Development enviroinment 2003 Version 7.1.3088 CopyRight @ 1987-2002 Microsoft Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 Version 1.1.4322 CopyRight @ 1998-2002 Microsoft Corporation. All Rights Reserved.
I used the same procedure & created the Static lib. But couldn't use this lib file in my main project.B'cos the project's property window doesn't have the :
Common Properties -> Framework & References
Couldn't find. Here with i attached missed property in VC2003. How can i set this property? Is any other way to use static lib in main project (application)?
When i click the back button, I like to skip some old pages & rotate pages view in my property sheet.
I have 5 pages, when i clicked the User button in my MainDlg the below function called like, User Button Clicked -> Page1 Opened Next Button Clicked -> Page2 -> Page3 -> Page4 -> Page5 Back Button Clicked Page1 <- Page2 <- Page3 <- Page4 <- Page5
My requirement is, User Button Clicked -> Page1 Opened Next Button Clicked -> Page2 -> Page3 -> Page4-> Page5 -> Page1(Again called 1st page automatically - rotate pages view) Back Button Clicked(Cur Page loc is Page5) (Start the prev Process)Page5 <- Page1 <- (Skip the Page2 & 3)Page4 <- Page5
The code below is supposed to fill, show, and revalue property. The fill function is supposed to return a pointer that creates a range of property values. The show function is supposed to show the property values entered and the revalued property values. I think part of the problem is the returned pointer from the fill function. Once that is cleared up, I think I will find more problems.
Code:
#include <iostream> const int Max = 5; // function prototypes double fill_array(double ar[], int limit); void show_array(double * begin, double * end);
This refers to an ATL COM DLL project. I can successfully create a class hierarchy of objects, ie. say, one class is the TEAM, which then holds other objects, say, a leader and a secretary, both of which are Employee Classes . Here goes my question:
a) In the Team.h header file I declare m_pLeader as a CComPtr<IEmployee>
Code: classATL_NO_VTABLE CTeam : public CComObjectRootEx<CComSingleThreadModel>, public CComCoClass<CTeam, &CLSID_Team>, public IDispatchImpl<ITeam, &IID_ITeam, &LIBID_BUOBJ05Lib, /*wMajor =*/ 1, /*wMinor =*/ 0> { private: CComPtr<IEmployee> m_pLeader; CComPtr<IEmployee> m_pSecretary;
b) The Employee Class is defined within this ATL COM project. c) In the Team.cpp file, I create an instance in the FinalConstruct code, the focus is on the CEmployee
Code: HRESULT CTeam::FinalConstruct(){ CComObject<CEmployee>* pLeader; HRESULT hr=CComObject<CEmployee>::CreateInstance(&pLeader); if (FAILED(hr)) return hr; m_pLeader=pLeader; // ..same for secretary... return S_OK }
d) Here comes my QUESTION: How must I proceed if the Employee object was part of another ATL COM DLL, that is it would be described in another DLL that I would now like to reuse? I guess I need to
1. Have the other DLL's idl-, tlb, and h file in my project folder. Let me name it "other.h, other.idl, other.tlb"
2. Both h- and cpp-file must have an #include "other.h" statement -- please correct if I am wrong..
3. ...but how must in the Team's h- and cpp-files the statements be (assuming the class in the "other" Dll is Member (instead of Employee? I know the following code will NOT work, so I am asking how it should be correctly?
I was opened CPropertySheet from main dialog at very first time, again i was opened the CPropertySheet from current PropertySheet's Page 1 using button click event.
How can i close these two sheets and go to main dialog.
I have a program where I want to export the .lib file in a "Lib" folder, and the .dll file in the "bin" folder. How can I choose where the lib file and .dll file go?
If I rename a control, when I build, I get an error because deep in the code, the old name exists, but my rename doesn't change the old name. Am I doing rename wrong? (I just go to "Name" in properties and type the new name.)
Same idea with control deleting. So I add a control (textBox, label, whatever). I later decide to delete the control. When building, it still has code for the old control and won't let me proceed.
I'm not new to C++ programming but I'm not an expert either. I'm using Borland C++ builder 5. I know it's extremely antiquated, but I have no choice right now. Writing a database reporting program, using third party report building components (ACE) which has it's own print dialogs built in. However, in this report we cannot use the build in dialogs and have to use a standard TPrintDialog. When the TPrintDialog is executed and you click print on the dialog, only one page is sent to the printer.
Here's some code:
// The dataset for the report is executed prior to this code and does not //change.
Once the data is gathered, the report can be run as often as you like // and the same data will appear in the report.
I have a adjacency matrix. (router adjacency matrix in network). The result should be the router ID.I mean, print all the possible paths from source router to target router(ROUTER id>> 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 so there are four one router). I get the error in the output.)
Code: #include<stdio.h> #include<conio.h> /* graph: Pointer to the starting of mXn matrix i, j: Current position of the robot (For the first call use 0,0) m, n: Dimentions of given the matrix pi: Next index to be filed in path array
is there any way to have the program control go some two paths at once? For example: if my program has two functions, one that does some simple calculation that requires nothing from outside it to set the variables and another that displays text for the user to read then enter something. Is there any way to have both run at the same time?
simpleFnc() {int a = 1; int b = 2 ; int c = a+b ;
[code]....
There is no connection of simplefnc to anywhere else in the program so is there any way to get it to run at the same time the other function is running?
I get a error "Not all code paths return a value" what is the reason i get this error
public String giveHint() { int hintPossible, x, y, val; _game.hint(out hintPossible, out x, out y, out val); if (hintPossible == 1) return "x: " + x + "y: " + y + "val: " + val; }
giveHint() has a red underline and it says not all code path returns a value ....
I'ma firmware writing, and usually use only C language (not my decision, unfortunately!).In many application we've only a text display (2 rows 16 columns ascii char, or 4x20 or something else). But the question can be used also for semi graphics panel and so on.
I'm looking for an example / library / sourcecode to handling all the pages in the project. When the program start you've a 1st page (wth info abt release, hallo screen and so on), then with a arrows buttons you can navigate throught many pages. Some of these can be called by SW (or HW) events. (Button, alarm, end of job ...) In abt 20 year of experience3 I?ve seen many type of different code.
I'm trying to find vertical paths of length n through a 2D grid of numbers. Paths may connect orthogonally or diagonally. An example grid and an example possible path looks like this:
A example possible path of length n = 3 is running from (3,2) to (3,4) - All 1s ...An example of n = 4 is the run of 3s (1,1) (0,2) (0,3), (0,4)
What is an efficient algorithm for solving this kind of problem? I would like to solve (ideally) millions of grids, giving a list for each grid of all possible paths of length for n = 3-6.
