I've been doing some looking and this example seems like the common way to remove the close button on a wpf window. Other than catching the on_click event or using that example, is there no better way to disable/remove that button?

Created a blank, SDI MFC app.
I added a new CMFCToolBar (by hand, didn't use a wizard)
It docks OK. The commands work OK. It renders OK. No problems there.
In the code, attempting to set the window text of this toolbar has no effect. The title bar text is always "Standard". I triple triple triple checked to make sure I don't have any resource ID conflicts. In a small app as this, it was pretty easy to verify this.
The toolbar also does not show in the menu illustrated in the screenshot. (The bottom, undocked toolbar should be titled "My Page Bar" and I think it should show up in the popup menu.)
I know I'm probably missing a simple step somewhere, but I haven't seen it. It looks like its getting mixed up with the Standard Toolbar resource ID somewhere but I could see nothing in the .rc or resource.h files.
I recently upgraded my operating system from Windows XP to Windows 7 SP1 64 bit. We are using Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition and Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production.
When I try to execute this code I am getting the below exceptions
HTML Code:
try {
CDatabase *pDatabase = CDatabaseConnection::getDatabaseConnectionProcessLog();
ORSProcessLog rsProcessLog(pDatabase);
[Code] .....
Where rsProcessLog is the CRecordset object using a successfully connected database pointer pDatabase
In 32- bit Debug version I get a message box at rsProcessLog.Close(); with the below text Debug Error
Program: ......Test.exe
HEAP CORRUPTION DETECTED: after Normal block (#506) at 0x0087F628. CRT detected that the application wrote to memory after end of heap buffer.
Memory allocated at f:ddvctoolsvc7libsshipatlmfcsrcmfcdbcore.cpp(2626)
(Please Retry to debug the application)
In 32- bit Release version I get a message box at rsProcessLog.Close(); with the below text Windows has triggered a breakpoint in Test.exe
This may be due to a corruption of the heap, which indicates a bug in Test.exe or any of the DLLS it has loaded.
This may also be due to the user pressing F12 while Test.exe has focus.
The output window may have more diagnostic information.
The above code was a working code in Windows XP with the rest of the env remaining the same and it continues to run in Windows XP but not in Windows 7.
I have an SDI app created with VC2012. Main view is a CFormView and it's the parent to four embedded dialogs. All four dialogs have title bars. On three of them, the title bars looks as I'd expect. Normal size, text left justified. On the fourth, the title bar is noticeably thicker and the text is centered. All styles are the same as far as I can tell. The main difference is the one that's acting up has a browser control on it, the others just standard controls. It looks normal on Windows 7.

This code allow you to add patients.
There are two types of patients. which is:
1. Normal patient.
2. Critically ill patient.
once you added any patient. You will be able to show all patient using "ShowAllPatient;" method. -> i want the Auto-increment ID Number to appear for each patient has been added.
And you will be able to call a patient to provide a hospital services for him/her using "GetNextPatient;" method.
I need to generate an Auto-increment Number for each (patient) has been added. (Auto-increment Number) but it just should be different for each patient. For example the first patient will have 1, The second patient will have 2. etc. The Auto-increment number should appear for each patient.
Apparently the default behavior with Direct2D when rendering is to scale everything I render based on the size of the render target/window. How can I prevent this? I want to decide for myself when to scale the image, regardless of the size of the window.

I am new to VC++ 2012. I have this code snippet.
Code:
auto it = query_map.find(U("callback"));

I am writing a program to auto login in a web site. Before making next attempt I have to wait for some time like some 10 seconds(it is configurable). But during waiting UI should not freeze. I wrote code something like this. Here event m_hEvent[1]) will be set by another thread after 10 seconds.The problem is UI still freezes some times!
while(1)
{
//m_hEvent[1] will be set by another thread after 10 seconds
dwRet = MsgWaitForMultipleObjects(1, &m_hEvent[1], FALSE, dwMilliseconds, QS_ALLINPUT);
ResetEvent(m_hEvent[1]);

I was opened CPropertySheet from main dialog at very first time, again i was opened the CPropertySheet from current PropertySheet's Page 1 using button click event.

I'm trying to create a dialog where some of the buttons have pictures on them, rather than plain text. I notice that under the button's properties, under the "styles" tab there's a checkbox "bitmap". I can't seem to find any easy way of setting a bitmap.
View 4 Replies View Relatedtell me the EASIEST way to create a button with an image on it.
I am not interested in using the owner draw property with CBitmapButton and then have to create a whole lot of bitmaps for all the different button states.
There must be a way to simply create an ordinary button which displays an image rather than or as well as a caption....?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have created an application that has bunch of buttons on top and i want to change the image when I click on the button. But unfortunately I can't get it to work.
Here is the code:
if (serialPort1.IsOpen) {
tsbCommPortOpenClose.ToolTipText = "Open serial port";
closeCommPortToolStripMenuItem.Text = "Open serial port";
tsbCommPortOpenClose.Image = Image.FromFile("Red.bmp");
serialPort1.Close();
[Code] ....
The second one which changes the image to "image2" works fine. Here is the definition of image2:
namespace Regress;
...
private Bitmap image2;
System.Reflection.Assembly myAssembly = System.Reflection.Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly();
StreammyStream = myAssembly.GetManifestResourceStream("Regress.Sharing.gif");
image2 = new Bitmap(myStream);
When I do the same with the other image that I want to use, it won't work! I opened the project properties and added the image into the resources too, and it still doesn't work. It fails and says the file was not there. I've put a copy of the file in the root directory and one in "Resources" folder but it still doesn't work.
Dialogue box in the program is displayed but button will not respond. I created dialogue box using resource wizard,
Code in Resource.rc for dialogue box is generated as below

FONT 8, "MS Shell Dlg", 400, 0, 0x1

I have subclassed CFileDialog. I need to select both file and folder on certain case only. Suppose I have a folder selected and it is containing desired file type. Then in such situation, On clicking open button will not open the selected folder. But just close the CFileDialog with IDOK.
For doing this I need to provide my own implementation for Open button handler. I am not getting how I can do this.
I've created a new dialog in my MFC dialog based application. the new dialog contains 5 control buttons. The following happens and I don't understand why?
1. click on buttonX. (result ok, OnBnClicked message is sent)
2. click on on any place of the application, but not on the dialog.(removing focus from dialog)
3. click again on buttonX (FAILED, OnBnClicked message is NOT sent). but if instead I click on any other button in the dialog (result ok, OnBnClicked message is sent).
And when I do:
1. ...
2. ...
3. click on the dialog area just to set focus on the dialog again
4. click again on buttonX. (result ok, OnBnClicked message is sent)
**I need to do step 3 only if I want to click again on the buttonX! why?? I think it related to SetFocus() but I m not sure how.
I've tried different style like, tool windows, overlapped, popup. it happens in all the cases.
