I have a WPF grid made out of labels with two rows, Apples and Oranges currently without any information. Let's say I want to populate the grid to look like the picture below.
I was wondering what's the best way to populate the labels with a list or array? I was thinking about using a list and passing values into the list
E.g.
List <string> ApplesList = new List<string>();
ApplesList.Add("Red");
ApplesList.Add("Delicious"):
List<string> OrangesList = new List<string>();
OrangesList.Add("Orange");
etc...
But I was wondering it make sense to use a list. Or should I just use an array or 2D array?
Sometimes I wonder when would be best to use a list, array, or 2D array.
I was trying to code a program that accepts your first name and then last name and then displays it through another function. I have checked that the assignments are between similar type of variables and pointers, but I don't seem to get it right.
When first input is taken and then second one, the first one's value changes to same as the second. E.G if first name is L and second name is S and after second input both variables, first and sec, become equal to S. Why?

I've read that we can write a program that displays a menu of commands for the user to choose from.We can write some functions that implement these commands, then store pointers to the functions in the array :

When I debug into this code, I stop on the first forloop and then I step but the flow never goes into the forloop. It jumps to the next forloop where the same thing happens.

The problem I am having is right at the end where I am trying to adjust the width of the label this is what I have. It is highlighting the word "Items" for each label and says that Non-Invokable member 'System.Windows.Forms.ListBox.Items' Cannot be used like a method L2 is a label. Additionally I have added in the information for one of my loops below the line I am having trouble with this loop is created to determine how many lines are in the listbox of rolls and I have no trouble with this just thought id add it for additional information I dont think I need to add the rest of the code but I can if needed.

Is there such thing as passing a winforms label by reference? For example, can I create a pointer label and pass the address to a function? I've looked online but couldn't find anything. Perhaps that's a sign?

I've been currently stuck on a C++ problem. Here's the question:
Write a program that generates one hundred random integers between 0 and 9 and displays the count for each number. (Hint: Use rand()

I'm making a small MFC module that should generate a report (formatted using HTML) and then display it for a user on schedule at 8:30 AM every day. Pretty straightforward stuff.
I compose my report and then save it as a local HTML file in the CSIDL_APPDATA folder. I then use the following calls to display it using the default web browser (Internet Explorer in this case):

This module is run on schedule from the Task Scheduler. (The task is set up to run when a user is logged on, which is all the time for that PC. It is never turned off, put to sleep, etc. That computer has only one user that is never logged off either.)
This works perfectly fine when I test it by setting the task a minute or so in the future. But when the actual task is supposed to run at 8:30 AM, when the user wakes the screen all they see is a blank Internet Explorer page. (Note that if someone refreshes that page by hitting F5, only then my report is shown on the screen.)
So I started looking into it:
1) I checked that the file is properly saved (before calling ShellExecute) by reading it back and by comparing it with the original HTML markup that I saved earlier. It's all correct there.
2) I then checked the power saving options. That computer is set up to show screensaver after 5 minutes and to turn off screen after 25 minutes.
3) The web browser that causes this issue is IE version 11, with the latest updates installed. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.
And why is IE showing a blank page only when computer is running unattended?
