How we will write a program that will count a number of notes. I mean if i have 5676 rupees and i want to find the number of 5 thousand pak currency ,the number of 1000 notes, the number of 500 notes and the number of 100 notes. I already know the frequencies are correct( they are rounded, but they should be close enough to the value ), but I wasn't so sure about the note labels. Obviously though, I'm not done with this program and I will be adding most of the functions Anduril suggested to take a text file and convert it into music. I just wanted to make sure I had everything correct before moving on. I probably didn't do the GetNextOctave() and GetNextNote() functions very efficiently so need suggestions on those functions also.
so my homework assignment is to make a program of which removes any notes in a program file.
for example, you run my program it will ask for a filename, when entered it opens the file, copies everything in it and removes any double forward slashes (//) and anything after that up to the new line character ( ) and anything between /* and */ including the /* and */.
i created the entire program and it removed the // and anything after that up to the new line character but will not remove anything after the first / when it finds a /*. This includes the */ at the end of the comment.

i know that the section that removes the multi line comments would not remove the final */ at the end if it did work, i was planning to fix that later once it removed the comment.
I have a .txt file that contains, together with a few characters, columns of values that I want to save in different files like is written in the program (file 1, file2, file3 - a with x, b with y, c with z). The pattern of the source text file is like this:

Until now I could manage to split the files, but the output gives me only zeros. First the program count the number of lines of the read text file, then it should display the desired columns of double values in three other .txt files.I've got for the three .txt files columns like this:

I have the text parser done, but when I use it, the program crashes. Just because of how I test my code, I know the section where it occurs, but I'm not sure what the exact problem is ( no errors or warning, so it's just something I don't see ). Here is the full code

I probably made a mistake in the way I allocated memory or tested values, but I'm not sure where it is in my code. Currently it just prints out "Failed to parse data on line 1" then crashes. Here is the text file I give to this program.

In this program what i'm doing is to search for a number when the vector is in order, and count how many times that number appears, the problem is that count how many times the number does not appear, but when its appear the program stays in an "standby mode" and the cursor does not move.

I'm running a game online and designing a program to generate Enemy Stats. Basically, it's supposed to generate 25 numbers between 0 and 7(to represent 8 Attributes on a 25 Point Buy system) and count how many times each number shows up.

Note that the number does change, but only between runs.
The following fuction from a class is supposed to count the number less then the average of all number combined. but it does not do that, now the fun part if you change it to count the number greater then the average it works great.

In above XMl if you check the ParentProductCat is prefixed with ns1:,ns2:,ns3:....
My XSLT code only checkes for the ParentProductCat but since it is prefixed with "ns*:" (* is integer) it fails to find it. So that in C# code replace function is used to replace ns*: a for loop is used for this and it goes until 1000
But now my response crossed the 1000 mark and this time the XML contains total 14500 lines.So I want to replace all ns:*
For this I want to count the number of lines present in the XML so that the for loop will run until that line number. how to do that?
