C++ :: Display Random Sequence Of Colored Squares - Matching Color
Sep 13, 2014
I have to write a program for school that displays a random sequence of colored squares, each square is a different color. Then the squares disappear and the 5 more pop up at the bottom. The user has to guess which color was first, second, and so on. They click on the squares on the bottom that matches the first square on the top.
My question is how do you get the computer to say ok this square (that the user clicked on) matches this square here.
is there a command that says something like if this color matches this color?
This code is suppose to display arithmetic sequence after it has to add all the numbers together without a formula.
for example: the starting number is 5, common difference is 3, the term is 9
the sequence would display as: 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29
the sum is: 153
with my code I've managed to get 8,11
To get the sum, I am restricted to using a "for" loop. For sequence, I am using a while. I am trouble developing the while loop to display the sequence and getting the sum for the for loop.
#include <iostream> #include <cmath> #include <stdlib.h> using namespace std; int main() { double a, d, n,i,sum,j;
I want to print different color names for "nb " times . I get the number " nb " from the user or from text file . if " nb = 3 " then I want to print any 3 different color names which means that I may print ( red , green , blue ) for example . and if " nb=5 " then I have to print any five different color names ( pink , blue , black , red ,white ) fore example .
Note : " nb " may be a large number ( 17 for example ). How can I do this ?
I have to write a program that selects a random color from an array. I used the srand (time(0)); statement but it still gives me the same color each time. Here is my code.
I am using borland turbo c++ version 4.5 and for printing a coloured output i used textcolor() but it is showing error that call the undefined function 'textcolor' in main, so what can i do now to print a coloured output???
Trying to define some global colors so I can use the one instance though-out my application. Here is my color code:
<Color x:Key="GlobalTextColor">#E0E0E0</Color>
But this color doesn't display in the list when I start to type {StaticResource ...}
This is the code where I'm trying to reference the color, see Stroke="{StaticResource GlobalTextColor}". GlobalTextColor doesn't actually come up in the list so won't work.
Can I make these squares appear around the other instead of having them appear under the others. Also if it can be done how can I make it so there is a space between the squares
int main() { char a; int size = 0; cout << "Enter a character: " << endl; cin >> a; while (size < 1 || size > 10)
I have been asked to develop a program with 6 methods which I have presented below. The aim of the program is to find and generate a magic square with a given dimension. This is a console program and so the 'Main' is also provided. However, I am having a problem with my code. When ever I try to generate a magic square it continuously cycles through 'forever' and I have never yet got a magic square; no matter what dimension I enter.
I must use methods 'CreateRandomlyAssignedArray' and 'CheckSquareMatrix'. There is another method 'SearchForValue', which we were told to creat. How this can be useful.
I have provided my code below:
class Program { static Random rand = new Random(); static void Main(string[] args) { int[,] array = new int[5,5]; array = GenerateMagicSquare(5);
I have not been using pointers that long i most of my stuff has not needed them but now they do i need to learn how to use them more. I'm writing a program that simulates the squares most landed on(for fun) and i cant get a method to work because of an array pointer.
The error is no matching function for call to 'GameLoop::Loop(int, int (*)[4])'
Here is the latest version of the code. I've been editing a lot of things so there might be some stupid errors but I've tring everything.
rolling.h and rolling.cpp are just some dice function they are working perfect.
main.cpp
#include <iostream> #include "Rolling.h" #include "GameLoop.h" Rolling Roll; GameLoop Game;
Here is my first program, I had to use a lot of if/ else statements. For some reason the last "else" (bolded) is giving me an error and not letting me run the program.
And yes, the if else's are indented properly, because there are no errors for the first 3 unit types, only for the last one ( 'F' ), and i have them all exactly in the same format.
In this project a user needs to enter a numeric month and a year. The output is a single calendar month with the name of the month followed by a grid of the days. My issue is that my day alignment is off. for example: if you enter the month of December (12) and this year 2014 it says the month started on a Wednesady when in fact it started on a Monday. I am not sure if its my leap year calculaion or what.
I am looking to write a program that, given a particular word, looks at a plain text document and gives a list of words that appear within x words of the given word along with a count of how many times it appears.
Do I need to use regex to do the pattern matching here? Is there a particular data structure that I should use that is particularly suited to a task like this? I don't want to reinvent the wheel, it seems like there should be libraries that would already do this sort of thing but searches have turned up nothing.
I need to call one function on my C++ program. I made one root calculator for functions, but, this doesn't work.
// FUNCION QUE CALCULA LA DIFERENCIA ENTRE 2 VECTORES real mn_error_vectores(Array1D< real > &u, Array1D< real > &v) { int i; if(u.dim()!=v.dim()){ printf("mn_error_vectores() : arrays of different dimensions
I'm having this pain in the ass error (No matching function for call to Data::Data() ) on this block of code:
Etapa::Etapa(string nm, float dist, string loc, Data dt) { nome = nm; distancia = dist; local = loc; data = dt; }
[Code].....
I guess this is happening because I'm trying to give Etapa an argument of Data type and I can't do it or put it in a variable since it has 3 parameteres (mes, dia, ano).
Here are the errors: no matches converting function `concat' to type `class Dlist (*)(class List<int>, class List<int>)' error candidates are: template<class T> Dlist concat(Dlist, Dlist)
no matching function for call to `concat(Dlist&, Dlist&)'
I can't understand what the compiler is trying to tell me.
I am trying to create a `std::map` from `std:: string` to a pointer to member function type. I'm initializing the `map` with an initializer list (braced). When I compile, I get a message from the compiler: No matching constructor for initialization.
