C++ :: Adding Int Type Into Vector - Runtime Error

Feb 1, 2013

I am adding int type into vector called "vi" several times like this.

std::vector<int> vi;
void addFunc(int *a, int cnt) {
vi.erase(vi.begin(), vi.end());
vi.clear();
for(int i=0; i<cnt; i++)
vi.push_back(a[i]);
}

and I call the addfunc N times every sec.

And sometimes it has runtime error on vi.push_back line.

(called stack says "_CrtIsValidHeapPointer")

C++ :: Determine If Type Is Of More Derived Type Than Another At Runtime

Aug 31, 2014

I have a function like this:

template<typename T>
void f() {
//...

[Code]....

list contains, in order: A, B and C in any order, D, E

I am thinking it is possible with some clever template and polymorphism combos, but maybe not. As a last resort I know how to make it work by storing static type information in each class, but I'd like to avoid that if possible.

Visual C++ :: Adding Header And Lib Files At Runtime?

Feb 4, 2013

I was created a dynamic library (Used win32 App) & compiled with no error.

Then i was created my main application (MFC) & paste the .h,.lib,.dll files from the source path(dll App Path) to destination path(Main App Path). If i used the below command in my app means the project working good.

Code:
#include "Alg.h"
#Progma Command(lib, "VTAlg.lib")
& also paste the VTAlg.dll in my app path.

here Alg.h contains the some methods , In future i will edit the function like below for my client requirement but no function name & Arguments change. The changes made in inside function(Logically changed) only.

My client contains only .exe file + .dll file.

My requirement, So after change the method i will send only .dll file to my client

If i change my lib file name VTAlg2.lib instead of VTAlg1.lib (But Same Function name & Arg type)means how can i edit the code below

Code:
#include "Alg.h"
#Progma Command(lib, "VTAlg.lib")

& How to run my application at client place.

I then went into project -> properties -> C/C++ -> General -> Additional Include Directories and added my include path C:oraclesdkinclude

I then went into project -> properties -> Linker -> General -> Additional Library Directories and added C:oraclesdklibmsvcvc11

I then went into project -> properties -> Linker -> Input -> Additional Dependancies and added oraocci12.lib

The program compiles but when I debug i get a RUNTIME error that says "The program can't start because oraocci12.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. But I know the file exists in C:oraclesdklibmsvcvc11oraocci12.lib

C++ :: Runtime Error In Hash Table

Apr 25, 2013

I am getting a strange runtime error when trying to run my hash table program. I have it separated in 3 separate files. I believe I have narrowed down where the error is occurring. It is either happening in insert(const &string s) or in the implementation of vector<list<string>> ht. I would appreciate some input. This is the implementation of insert():

void HTable::insert(const string &s) {
int h = hash(s);
cout<<h<<endl;
list<string> &tempList = ht[h];

[Code] .....

And it is giving me some sort of compilation error saying I cannot convert a type string to type list.

C++ :: Printing Vector Adding New Line

Oct 10, 2013

I have a vector of structs.

struct myStruct{
string text;
int num;
};

vector<myStruct> foo;

And I am attempting to print the text followed by a space, then the number. Like so:

foobar 5

But when trying to print my vector using

ofstream outputFile;
outputFile.open ("file.txt");
for(int i = 0; i < foo.size(); i++) {
outputFile << foo[x].text << " " << foo[x].num << endl;
}

It prints like

foobar
5
moretext
8

With an extra newline and space. How to get rid of it and print it on the same line.

I have checked that text does not include new line character at the end. Also, it seems to print correctly using cout, but not print correctly to output file...

Jan 16, 2013

vector<int> x;
cout << "Enter Numbers" << '

[Code] ....

The while loop is expected to terminate when the user provides an Invalid Input. But this while loop behaves unexpectedly when the user provides a 'Newline' input (by pressing Enter) and becomes an infinite loop. How can I prevent this from happening? Also I've heard that expecting invalid inputs isn't good code design. Is this true? If yes, then how can I solve my question without expecting Invalid Inputs?

C++ :: Filling Vector From A File - Adding Empty Element At The End

Apr 20, 2014

I'm having a problem filling a vector from a file. Basically, it is adding an empty element at the end. I'm new to Qt and haven't worked with file streams much so how to stop the stream before it adds the extra element.

void gui::get_data() {
mileage.clear();
QFile file(file_label->text() + ".txt");
QTextStream in(& file);
float m;
float g;
QString d;

[Code] ....

But, if I add another element to the vector and write that the file look like this.

//file after adding element
132654 0 02132014
132654 0 02132014
0 0
132998 22 02202014

I have it set to append at the moment so that is why the first line is repeated. I figure the problem is with if(in.atEnd()). I could fix it by deleting the last element right after adding it, but that seems like more of a hack than anything else.

When ever it gets to the stage of db.SaveChanges() I get this error, but using intellisense I have checked the values in the object and there are no Null fields.

Do you think It might be better to use SQLConnection instead? Also I beleive EntityFramework is more secure becuase there is no SQL Injection, is this correct? So If I do go down the SQLConnection route could this SQL Injection pose a threat?

C++ :: Iterator To A Vector Of Struct Type?

Nov 18, 2013

I'm working on a program where I have a vector full of <myClassType> structs.

I'm trying to insert items into a vector, searching first through the vector to make sure the value isn't already in the vector before inserting it. The "find" function isn't working properly.

I keep getting C2678 "binary '==': no operator found which takes a left-hand operand of type "myClassType" or there is no conversion errors in Visual Studio 2010.

I know it's something having to do with the find function and my iterators, but I can't, for the life of me, figure out what it is.

I've tried switching to const_iterators, but I get the same error message.

vector<myClassType>::iterator it1;
it = find(Table.begin(), Table.end(), en.memberOne);
