View 1 RepliesWhat I'm doing is giving the user the choice to show 2 different dates. 1 in yyyy-mm-dd notation and the other in dd-mm-yyyy notation.
I'm using a second form to do this.
So from Form1 I have my data in the datagrid and in Form2 I have 2 radio buttons giving the user the choice between Date1 and Date2. So how would I be able to interact with the first form with the radio buttons?
I want to display the related tab information in the same tab space provided in the TabControl.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI made 2 forms and Form2 has buttons with images like planets and game wallpapers etc. When I write the code for button:
this.BackgroundImage = new Bitmap(Properties.Resources._8_8008_by_amplifier404);
this.BackgroundImageLayout = ImageLayout.Stretch;
// where _8_8008_by_amplifier404 is name of the image located in resources
It only changes background in form which has those buttons as long the form is used. Once I go back to form1 it's changed to null. How to set background in all forms with a button click which will be there until another button with an image is clicked.

I tried to get the Urdu Fonts from MySql Database using C# in Visual Studio 2010 in Windows Forms Application. When I get the value from table into my variable it shows the characters in ???? symbols. But in PHP i have used the following code:
<?php
class CRUD {
var $con;
//function to make connection to database

I'm a little confused by my programming assignment this week. I've been working at it Wednesday and I've made progress but I'm still confused as to how I'm supposed to do this. The class I made is called Stack, and it's derived from a template class called StackADT. We also utilize a class called unorderedLinkedList, which is derived from a class called linkedList.
We're supposed to implement all of the virtual functions from stackADT in the Stack class. The Stack data is stored in a an unorderedLinkedList, so what I'm confused by is how to implement a few of the Stack functions because there are no functions in unorderedLinkedList which we could call to manipulate the data.
As you can see from my attached code, I'm really confused by how I'm supposed to implement the pop() and top() functions, and I also think my initializeList() function is wrong. We don't have any similar functions in unorderedLinkedList to call, so I'm at a loss of how i'd access my unorderedLinkedList. My initial thought was to call the similar functions in the class that unorderedLinkedList was derived from, linkedList, but I'm unsure of this is what we're supposed to do, or if theres actually a way to access my unorderedLinkedList without having to use the functions from the base class.
NOTE: We're not allowed to modify stackADT, unorderedLinkedList, and linkedList.
Stack.h
#include "stackADT.h"
#include "unorderedLinkedList.h"
template<class Type>
class Stack: public stackADT<Type>{
template <class T>
struct nodeType
{
T info;
nodeType<T> *link;

I have MDI form which contains mutliple tabs and each tab has its own child form . When user presses ALT TAB from the from to other application its fine but when users presses ALT TAB back to my application it should keep focus on child form last time it was selected.

View 4 Replies View RelatedQuestion: How can we write functions to access various fields?
Example: A phone number -- it has an area code, exchange & subscriber -> (123)-456-7890
How can we write a function to access the various fields of a phone number both in a particular class & in the main?
I have the following code which will find the minimum size queue among a vector of queues and the minimimum size queue will enqueue(push) the int
std::vector<std::queue<int> > q
void enqueue(){
int min_index = 1;
std::size_t size = q.size();
for( i=2; i<size; i++) //accessing loop of queues
if(q[min_index].size() > q[i].size())
min_index = i; // Now q[min_index] is the shortest queue
q[min_index].push(int)
}
Now my another paradigm is to do the dequeue(pop) operation in another function(shown below), bt i need to access all vector of queues declared in enqueue() function. how can i access the loop of queues given in the enqueue() function?
void dequeue(){
//q.pop operation , access all the queues in the loop of queues
}
willq[i].pop(int);
Access all the queues in the enqueue function and does the pop operation?
I have a big problem with searching a solution for getting access on getters and setters of the derived classes of an interface.
Interface:
class IfParam
{
public:
IfParam();
};
Now I have a derived class for each needed datatype. E.g.
class Int32Param: public IfParam
{
public:
Int32Param();
Int32Param(IfParam* l_param);
int getValue();
void setValue(int l_value);
private:
[Code]...
My Problem now ist getting access to the getters/setters over the interface. I wish I could initialize the Params like this:
IfParam* param = new Int32Param();
param.setValue(12);
IfParam* param = new StringParam();
param.setValue("String");
But to have access to the getter/setter I have to declaire the functions in the interface as generic functions. But how? I tried to use temlates, but then i have to declaire IfParam as IfParam<int>. Thats a problem because in my original program I do not know which TypeParam the IfParam interface will be initialized with when I create the pointer.
Suppose I make a class, something like having the constructor being invoked first makes sense, I don't have a problem with that. But, how could I limit access to functions until certain functions are called? Perhaps this isn't built into the language so you can't. And maybe this problem never comes up. For example if you have a set() and get() functions, if they are both public functions, there doesn't seem to be a way for the compiler at least now if set() never gets called you shouldn't call get(). I just see this as error prone if you need to use libraries, you have to know not to do it from documentation instead of something the compiler can check.

So as you see, I need the function Use() from the Usable class, to be able to be called from the vector like:
inventory.at(x)->Use()
I want to develop windows application using c# ,.net framework 3.5 as front and Mysql4.1 as a backed language.Now my question is i want to install this application only on server PC,so is it possible to access this application within LAN connected PC.If yes how do i build my application.or do i need to install .net framework on LAN connected PC's(or on client PC's)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am facing the problem of adding the image in MS Access Database. I know that OLE Object datatype is used to insert the image in MS Access database.
I have already converted the image in Byte form but unable to add that Byte [] to OLE data type.
Is Byte compatible with OLE Object Datatype?
I have application that codes and binds an access database to a windows form application. Everything seems to work however, nothing is actually saved in the database. Updates and deletes are coded and debugging steps through, but checking the db, the data is the same.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an application which inserts large amount of data in Access database. So to speed up the things i have set Indexed property to No.
So at the end of insertion i need to set the index to the column of the one of the table to Indexed (Duplicates OK) through C#.
I'm having a bit of trouble with something. What I'm trying to do is create a new Access table by combining other already existing Tables.
For instance, let's consider Table1 (with columns A, B and C), Table2 (with columns A, D and E) and Table3 (with columns A, F and G), where Table1.A = Table2.A = Table3.A.
From these, I want to create a new table TableResult, with columns A, B, C, D, E, F and G, with all the data contained in them. There's one catch: I want the code to get the names of the other columns, apart from column A.
I've thought about using Union, but I need to actually create a new table by combining the previous tables.
I have an extremely annoying problem, I am inserting data into an access database and now i have noticed that it is copying itself to the bin/debug folder on ts own and yet i have set "Copy to Output Directory" property to "Copy never"
But without fail, it is copied! It is making any attempted updates to the database's information invalid since its not updating at all.
This all started when i installed crystal reports and it asked me to make a duplicate of the database in order to utilize data-sets that were created for certain reports.
Why this is happening? I cannot test my application properly at all.
I have a .png file that my console app reads and puts into a structure that is saved as a file. The png is always the same so I thought I could just add it as a resource image to a resource file so it would be included in my program and not as a separate file. When I did that, the png shows up as a "SystemDrawingBitmap". If I examine this resource in a watch I see "Base" and "Static" members. Expanding those properties does not give me anything useful such as a pointer to the raw png data and its length in bytes.
If worse comes to worse, I can always make a hex dump of the png contents and then put the hex code into a CS file using static initialization.
Surely there is some way I can access the raw data internally and read the bytes into a byte array using C#
private void update_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) {
OleDbConnection conn = new OleDbConnection(@"Provider=Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0;
Data Source=C:UsersshobhitDocumentsEnvironment_Monitoring.accdb;
Jet OLEDB:Database Password=divya6");
String sdat = dateTimePicker1.Value.ToShortDateString();
String la = labs.SelectedItem.ToString();
[Code] ....
Windows service not able read file from network even after giving UNC path whereas works fine when given local directories ....
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe had few functions which were written in Java, and we are now moving to C# .Net.
Instead of re-writing the code in .net, I want to know if there is any possibility to use those functions in .Net as is. (calling java functions).
I have a very big xml file. I read it using by xmlReader. I have problem when i reach to next line:
<title>Abasia<nemod>(-astasia) (hysterical)</nemod></title>
How I can read all that content. I have to have next string at the end: "Abasia (-astasia) (hysterical)".
I tried to use ReadElementContentAsString() for all elements, but elements like this has exception, because it has child element.
From my book:
"A static function might have this prototype:
static void Afunction(int n);
A static function can be called in relation to a particular object by a statement such as the following:
aBox.Afunction(10);
The function has no access to the non-static members of aBox. The same function could also be called without reference to an object. In this case, the statement would be:
CBox::Afunction(10);
where CBox is the class name. Using the class name and the scope resolution operator tells the compiler to which class Afunction() belongs."
Why exactly cant Afunction access non-static members?
I have a non form class. I want to update label/ check status of check box etc.. in non form class ( here resides functions that contains logic). How can i do that ?
