I have been struggling with this for a few days now and still have no code to show for this apart from the popup that will show how to achieve this.
Its been mentioned to use webhooks? However I'm not sure if these work with windows forms?
I have looked at octokit and this doesn't look to achieve this either.

May 13, 2014I'm trying to port a Win32 application over to Windows Forms so that I can have better graphical control over the interface. The program itself is pretty simple; in the main message loop it listens for a WM_CopyData containing a certain char array, and occasionally sends WM_CopyData itself after the user clicks a certain sequence of buttons.
I found a couple of pages discussing how to completely override the Windows Forms WndProc, but I rather like having the framework do all of the control and would prefer to only latch onto it, rather than replace it. So, what would be the best way to have a Win Forms application listen for Windows Messages continuously and execute a function upon receiving them?
If I do need to override WndProc, what is the syntax? I found the following code:

But when I stick that into my main.cpp file right after int main function, "protected" gets highlighted as a syntax error with the message "IntelliSense: expected a declaration".

May 6, 2013What I'm doing is giving the user the choice to show 2 different dates. 1 in yyyy-mm-dd notation and the other in dd-mm-yyyy notation.
I'm using a second form to do this.
So from Form1 I have my data in the datagrid and in Form2 I have 2 radio buttons giving the user the choice between Date1 and Date2. So how would I be able to interact with the first form with the radio buttons?

Jul 14, 2013I made 2 forms and Form2 has buttons with images like planets and game wallpapers etc. When I write the code for button:

It only changes background in form which has those buttons as long the form is used. Once I go back to form1 it's changed to null. How to set background in all forms with a button click which will be there until another button with an image is clicked.

Aug 6, 2012In my class I'm trying to display the elapsed time as my label on a windows form. I've been reading up on all the different articles online and have tried these three methods all with the same result:
1. Using the System.Timers class
2. Built in Timer sub-class
3. Defining directly inside of my class the StartTime, etc. variables.
All of these still result in the following error:
Cross-thread operation not valid: Control 'User_Interface' accessed from a thread other than the thread it was created on.
Currently, my windows form is being called by another class, but I'm not sure if this is the cause of the problem.

Jul 6, 2012I am busy with a project, it is going to consist out of 3 different windows which is logic enough for this whole code to be interactive.
It must be able to pull data into a windows form, displaying it into a textbox, and when you click on the textbox it needs to open up another window where you will have a windows form that will display data as the code loops through the questions in the database.
I am not sure how to push the data that has been selected on the database to the next window..
Here is my code for the first window:
