C Sharp :: Searching With Multiple Textboxes?

Jun 3, 2013

So I've got a button that has to use 2 textboxes to search for 2 columns in my database.

 private void btnFilter_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) {
            SQLiteDataAdapter adap = new SQLiteDataAdapter("select * from Test", GetConnection());
            DataSet ds = new DataSet();
            adap.Fill(ds);
            dgvTable.DataSource = ds.Tables[0];

[Code] ....

My Current code for it.

The GetConnection(); and the CloseConnection(); Methods are just making a new connection and closing that connection, if needed I can post that code too later.

But basically, It only "filters" 1 textbox but if I say I want to search the Channel and the Log in which it is in, it doesn't search anything and returns all data in the database.

C/C++ :: Single Facility Layout (multiple FOR Loops)

Mar 15, 2015

I've been given an assignment called a Single Facility Layout Problem in which a number of machines (for the purpose of the assignment they're called machines) with an x-coordinate, y-coordinate and weighting are given/inputted. I'm using 5 machines for ease of use and reading errors.

The object of the program is to calculate the value of each set of coordinates using the Me formula, the lower the value, the better. Thus the program should output a 5 different values.

Problem: My problem is that instead of getting, say 5 unique values, I'm getting 5 of the same value much like the photo attached.

- How can I remedy this?
- Is there a limit to the amount of FOR loops that can be nested? If not why isn't my code working correctly?
- Where should I place the printf statement in order that I will output 5 unique values?

#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <math.h>
int main() {
//'h' is number of machines, objects etc.
int h=5;

C++ :: Return 3 Values From A Single Function

Jun 7, 2013

I've got the program for the most part except one part because it's basically wanting me to return 3 values from a single function and I'm unsure how to do this the way it wants me to. The rules:

Call the user-defined function to read in x in the series to be used for calculating the results. Pass a prompt for x as an input parameter, and return the validated x value to main.

After a valid x has been entered, call the same user defined function a second time, to read in y. Pass the prompt for y as an input parameter, and return the validated number of terms value to main.

After a valid y has been entered, call the same user-defined function a third time, to read in z. Pass the prompt for z as an input parameter, and return the validated z value to main.

C# :: Displaying Multiple Images And Adding Sales To Them?

Aug 28, 2014

My application requires the user to add sales to images, this is done by displaying the image for the GUI, and then the user would add sales using that images ID which is brought in from the database.

In part this is 2 questions, first question is what is the best way to generate a List for use when adding the sales to the database. The List would need multiple strings for each sale. So for example:

Image 1 (Sale)

- JPG ID
- Product ID
- Product Quantity

So i'm going to assume i'm best creating a new instance of a custom class for each sale, and then add each instance to a List<Sale>?

public class Sale
{
public int SaleID { get; set; }
public int JpgID { get; set; }
public int SaleQty { get; set; }
}

Then I need a decent way to update this List with the GUI controls. So maybe get the JPG ID and set name of the Sale Class Instance to the ID, in this way its unique and I can update that instance when it comes to increasing the sale of a product or decreasing it.

Second part comes to the design of the GUI of adding sales, when I made this using HTML/PHP that was easier. It looked something like this:

If I wrote some code to generate that kind of design again in C# it going to require many Controls, wouldn't that be a bit intensive on the system? I just want something which looks great but also functions good.

At some point I'm going to switch to WPF, but I just need to get a working prototype working now which my client can use, and then update it when I have more time as I have got other Web Related projects that need doing, so at the moment WPF is out of the question.

C++ :: Command Line Argument And Multiple Sum Digits

I'm fairly new to C++ and have been understanding until Ive hit this rock. Im trying to figure out how to indicate whether or not a first command line argument interpreted as an integer is a multiple of the sum of its own digits. I understand that logic as if you type 20 = 2(2+0) where 2 is a multiple and 3113 = 8 which is not a multiple but i feel hopeless trying to set it up. And here is my code.

C :: Displaying Direction From A Table Of Values

Oct 1, 2014

Below, is the program I completed so far. I need to write a C program that reads in a stream of integer values, each representing an (x,y) pair on the cartesian plane. It then says I need to display the distance and direction from one point to the next. I tested it out, and it works.I need to use a conditional statement, and I'm a little confused how to display the direction(right, left, up, or down).I think I need to use an. "If" statement with my first one being something like:

If (y2 = y1) && (x2 > x1)

and I'm not sure what else to put,or if this is wrong. And with y staying the same and x increasing, the direction would be right.

Code:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>
#include <math.h>
int main(void)
{
int x1, y1,x2,y2,x3, y3,x4,y4,x5,y5,x6,y6; //x and y coordinates

Visual C++ :: Application That Process Multiple Files Through Command Prompt Call

Dec 22, 2012

I am making an application that processes multiple files (typically > 500) through a command prompt call. The way I start the command prompt app is by looping using a call to CreateProcess for each file that is to be processed. It works fine, except that I somehow loose 'connection' to my app so that

1: Windows says that the app. is 'Not Responding'
2: The Cprogress bar in my app is not updated before all files have been processed, even though there is a CreateProcess call and a Cprogress.StepIt() from the app for each file that needs processing.

I somehow suspect that the CPU gets swamped... I do not want that Windows starts to say that my app is 'not responding' and I want my Cprogress dialog bar to update according to the number of files that are progressed through.

I wonder if multithreading is the OK way to go instead of just kicking of series of CreateProcess calls? Maybe my CreateProcess is not ending correctly? It seems as if my app is 'not regaining control' before very late. The app never crashes though.

My CreateProcess code is listed below, maybe there can be a problem with it, or maybe I should do things in a different way? My app basicaly works as it never crashes, but with above mentioned problems it is NOT a pro solution...

void CMultiFilerDlg::ProcessFile(CString pdfFile) {
int i=0;
DWORD ProcID;
// Open file in text mode:
STARTUPINFO si;
PROCESS_INFORMATION pi;
char cmdArgs[2052];

C# :: Random Select Dictionary Values Not Displaying

Apr 10, 2014

I am having trouble getting values of a dictionary to display in a label and radio button text after the dictionary key is randomly selected.

I first created a class called TheoryQuestions and created a new instance of the class for each dictionary entry. Each entry contains strings for Question, RadioButton Text(x4), and Correct Answer.

The random generator is actually selecting a random number as I can display the generated number in a label. The problem is that the dictionary string values held in the dictionary position represented by the random number are not being displayed.

Here is my TheoryQuestion Class

public class TheoryQuestion {
bool BeenAsked = false;
public string Question
{
get;
set;
}

[Code] .....

Its probably some mistake I have made but I just can't see it.

C Sharp :: Multiple IP Address Conundrum

Nov 15, 2012

So I have an application that needs to send the current IP Address to a service. My problem is that I have a couple of machines that show two IPV4 addresses on the same NIC. Unfortunately the standard .net calls for the IP Address always appear to show the IP Addresses in numerically sorted order and it will be random as to which one of multiple IP Addresses my application uses.

Any way to force Windows 7 and XP to always put a specific IP address as the first one regardless of the numerical order?

C# :: Store Multiple Values?

May 1, 2015

I am working on a text based RPG. As with most RPGs the character has attributes that grant modifiers. Lets take strength for instance. Suppose the character can have a strength score that ranges from 1 to 10. Based on strength the modifiers could be like the following:

Strength = 1 grants +1 to hit and +1 damage
Strength = 2 grants +1 to hit and +2 damage
Strength = 3 grants +2 to hit and +3 damage

I want to set these values at design time and be able to retrieve the modifiers based on the strength value from multiple places in my program.

What is the best method of designing this. I looked around online and saw references to Lists with Tuples and Dictionaries with Tuples but these did not seem to be a very efficient way of handling the scenario above.
