My code is not moving past the line below...actually i am making a quiz and this piece of code id checking whether the entered answer is correct, from a file..

So I'm writing a program that will read a text file and it will do certain "functions" the text file will be like a game, and the program will be able to run many different games. The problem i'm having is in one of the "functions" i believe it's the one meant to get a correct choice from a file and a user input and put them into strings, it gets the wrong input. I know this because i tested both strings the "function" writes too. it gets the correct file answer but the user input is always "c" for some reason.

The got input and answer are tests to make sure it got both, the first 'i' is my input, the 'c' is what it says my input is, and the 'i' is the correct answer from the file. this is the part of the file that the program reads to get that output

Okay so I thought I had this assignment completed properly last week. Last night I found a bug while playing the game.why won't the game end when the player guesses the correct number? The game allows you to finish using the max number of guesses even though you already guessed the correct number.

I am using Dev C++ on a windows computer.
In my code, the user enters the name of a city, and then according to what city it is, the program displays the coordinates of that city
I can't find a way of figuring out and checking which city the user has entered so the code can displays its appropriate latitude and longitude.

You are to write a C program that grades a true-false quiz. The quiz data will be available in a text file; here is an example:

The first line in the data file is a comment that you may assume can be up to 80 charac- ters long; it cannot be blank. The second line contains the answer key for the 10-question true-false quiz. Alright So I'm just stuck at comparing the key answer with student answer here is my code comparing one student's answer with the answer key . is that right ?? One more thing for some reason when i try to print answer[0] the result is nothing why is that

I've been taking a C++ class, and for a project we need to do, we have to create a simple quiz show game while putting the high scores and names inside a .txt file. We have lessons we can look at to complete it while learning. But at the end there's always a challenge that we should complete to show that we've actually learned the information. For the challenge, we needed to take the information in the .txt file and reset it to its original information. So say there's 5 people preset that have high scores, then a person plays the game and the program asks if they'd like to reset the list. If the user inputted 'y' or any key that needed to be pressed, the program would reset the .txt to its original information.

I am trying to do a while loop that terminates the program when 99999 is entered but otherwise allows infinite integers to be entered. My problem is that when a negative number is entered it crashes and also when I enter a number it displays it twice.

I had a quick question about how to check the balance of brackets in an HTML file using a stack (pushing and popping). I understand pushing and popping. I get lost when it comes to the logic of having to actually check what is in the brackets, and making sure those are nested correctly.
So while
<title><b> THIS FILE </b> USES CORRECTLY NESTED TAGS </title>
is correct and
<title> <b> THIS FILE </title> IS </b> NOT NESTED CORRECTLY.
is incorrect;
How do I check for the actual tags inside the brackets, keeping in mind that there are single sided tags as well.
(ex. <img src="a.jpg"/>)
I am using stat command to check the existence of a file in a directory.
The directory is having some 10K files. I feel the stat() call is expensive as i do not need the structure to be populated.
I want only the existence of the file.
Is there any other alternative faster way to do this in C.

I compile this with no problem, but gives "File could not be opened". the strcmp tells me name and "snazzyjazz.txt" are not equal. but when I print them I get the same output.
The program should find and delete all vowels in a word that is user entered. This is what I have so far and I know it should be essentially this format I just don't know how to set entered word and word equal to each other.
