C# :: Making String Equal Many Different Values Then Compare Those Values

I was wondering if this was even possible and if so, how do I do it.

Here I would like to see if my speech had ended with any of the values i would have stored in the string "numbers". If it did, I would like to just take the value and add it to a new string called whatever

I have tried this a million different ways and I cant get it to work. I'm not even sure how I would go about storing tons of different numbers in one string, or if that's even possible.
Goal: Write a program that compares the values stored in the first array to the user inputted values in the second array.

I had to change my array initialization to one with a star in front of it:
char a1[]={"a","d","b","b","c","b","a","b","c","d","a","c","d","b","d","c","c","a","d","b"}; to: char *a1[]={"a","d","b","b","c","b","a","b","c","d","a","c","d","b","d","c","c","a","d","b"};
I also changed my 2nd array to one with a star in front of it: char *a2[20];
What does this mean exactly? Putting a star in front of an array?
Also, I am now getting an "unhandled exception" when I try to get input for my 2nd array:
Running into a snag in my program. I can't seem to figure out how to have an object of a class be able to look at all the other objects of its own class.
Reasoning being, I'm working on a game with multiple ships flying around in the same space. Each ship is a class. Each ship has an x and a y, and needs to compare the angle and distance of other ships' x and y coordinates to see if they're visible on the same screen.
How to tell an object to look at objects of its own class.

Basically, I just don't know how to properly write a function, call, or how to get the info I need, to the Player::get_closest() function so that it can see the other play objects.
What do I put to have UserNumber == 1-10? In other words I want it to say...
if UserNumber equals 1 through 10 <<<<This is where I'm having the issue.

I have a method that traverses a list to compare a number from the list to user input from elsewhere in the program. I have tried a few different things and I am probably overlooking something simple but my problem is my if statement is executing the else statement every run no matter if the input matches. This function is to return the location in the list that the num matches. -1 if no match, 0, 1, 2, otherwise depending on the number of nodes.

I am about to transfer a project I have written in Applescript and Objective C to Excel/VBA/dll. I have started with the Objective C functions that I want to place in a dll and call via VBA.
The Objective C is C with a thin dusting of special Obejctive C code to have it talk with Applescript and the rest of the project so in theory it should be easy to make dlls written in C from it.
But I have already problems with the tiniest of all functions. I am sure it can be done more effectively but right now I need to know WHY it doesn't work if I am ever going to be able to transfer the much larger functions from Objective C to C.

I have a program that makes change from an amount. It works fine, but the output is the correct output looped over and over. I have tried everything, but it still doesn't work. For example, a amount of 98 should print

I've been working on a homework assignment that randomly generates integers and populates them into an array (array1). The program is then supposed to:
1.) copy those values to a second empty array (array2)
2.) sort the values already in array1 (using an inline function)
3.) enqueue the unsorted integers from array2 into a heap vector
4.) a third empty array (array3) is supposed to be populated with those unsorted integers (by dequeuing them from the heap), sorted in reverse order.
But no matter what I do, I always get garbage values like these:
I've tried using both a standard random number generator:
array1[i] = rand()%100+1;
And the d_random.h file my instructor gave us, but nothing works.

I've been having issues trying to figure out how to add a string prompt along with two int values into a function. The program is complete outside of the getValue function (which gives me errors when trying to run with it included)

I am creating a to-do list application and to store the tasks on the list, I am trying to create a linked list. the code for it so far is as follows:

The problem with this arises when I try to create a new node from another class like so:

The variables _title etc.. all store values from text boxes as string. However, the code creating the object says the the variables cannot be implicitly converted from type 'string' to 'int'. Why this error is happening??
I'm fairly new to C++ and programming in general and I'm trying to get a program to check the parameters of a binary string before converting that string to dec values. I have the user input 'num' line 39 - 42, but I want to reuse that same value in the 'void bin_to_dec()' function. Is there anyway I can use the same variable between void functions?
I have a problem I am working on where I need to sort some data based on the values of a string of bits. The strings look like this,
010000001110000000
there are 18 bits, 1 means a feature is present, 0 means the feature is absent.
Each of these string has 4 on bits. I need to sort them such that I have the longest possible runs with 3 of the same on bits. It doesn't matter which 3 bits are on, I am just looking to order them in blocks with the longest possible runs. As a second step, the ordered blocks will be sorted by size large>small.
The following data is ordered like I need it to be.

This is the sort order that I am looking for. I need to be able to take a list of the bit strings in any particular order and sort them into the order above. The algorithm would need to recognize that there are 4 on keys and then look for groupings of three common on keys.
This is more of an algorithm question than one about specific implementation in code. I generally assume that most programming problems have been solved one way or another, so I don't know much about analyzing and manipulating strings of bits.
Is there a standard method for this kind of pattern recognition?
I have a variable named Authors. Sometimes I will insert one author into the database, sometimes more than one author will be inserted into the database.

How can I display my inputted values here without overwriting the other earlier inputted values. It should be displayed like this [URL].... but mine shows this [URL].... I've been stucked here for hours in thinking for an algorithm. Everything is working fine except the PDISPLAY part

I am trying to get a list of queries to work right now. I have it so that the user will input 1 of 5 things to compare twin primes in a list. I am just trying to get the queries working fully before actually determining the twin primes that need to be output. The console input will be something like "<= 61" and will display all twin primes from 3 to 61, inclusive.
Well, I thought I had it 100%... Then I realized I have a problem, though. So, I'm reading the string in until a space so I can read in the number after that. So that works fine, but then I also want the "all" and "random" console inputs to work, but they won't unless I put a space after them, which is what I'm trying to avoid...
So, I tried just simply asking for another console input after all of my if statements for the string compare after the first console input. That obviously doesn't work either, though, because it still only wants the first "getline" where it reads until the whitespace.
How to be able to do both on the same console input... The relevant code is posted below:

Here's what I have to do: Using strcpy() pass it two strings of characters (such as a name like John Johnson) and copy the second string into the first, in reverse order, and print both. Write a main to exercise your function and to illustrate that the function is working properly.
