Well, basically, what I've been doing was creating a class that would implement the concept of Double Linked List, but that would behave like a queue ( the STL implementation is deque, or Double Ended Queue ).

The problem occured when I have been trying to generalize the class using templates. I mean, why use only integers ? Why not double or char or what not ?

Worked perfectly before including all the template stuff..

how I would execute a nested class in a linked list... As example;

[Character][Weapon][Spell] classes are children of a [Base] class that stores normalized information such as 'Name'...

I am aiming to have a unique Character with a unique Weapon and Spell. I am trying to link-list these to have multiple characters. I just can't apply the design logic into programming logic.

Create a notepad that allows the user to write text on the console. For this purpose, the user should be able to control and track the movement of the cursor. The user can access, add and delete any part of the text. To add or delete a text, the user can take the cursor to that location (using the arrow keys) and perform the required operation. The working of the program (i.e. the movement of the cursor, add and delete operation) must be consistent with the working of the real notepad. However, you do not have to handle word wrapping.

In addition, the user should be able to save and load the data in a text file using S and L respectively. The program will automatically save the data in file save.txt, and load the data from the same file. There is no need to ask the user for the file name. Use Q to quit the notepad. Don’t forget to implement the destructor.

Internally, the notepad is composed of two-dimensional doubly linkedlist. Its implementation is just like a doubly linked list with an additional property that it can grow in two dimensions. Since text can be written on multi lines, each row of the 2D-linkedlist represents one line. Each node contains four links which it uses to connect to node before, after, below and above it. In addition each node can store a character.

I'm trying to print a single linked list backward with functions/classes. I have created the main file and 3 header files. But I'm getting an error on one of the header files, linkedListIterator after adding #include "linkedListType.h". It says that "linkedLlistType.h" is calling itself. And when I try to run it, I get an error of "too many header files." I have tried changing the headers many times, but nothing seems to work.

Above, I have a little snippet of a code that I'm trying to figure out. I don't really understand how to implement 2d arrays in C that well. But, I mostly want to know is how and where the strings are being stored, especially with the code below.

We have an assignment in which we have to implement a printer spooler using linked lists. I have used the list from STL to implement everything. I can get the program to send the print command and maintain status of documents. The problem is I don't know how to mimic/send a dummy print command so the document gets printed. If I use Sleep() there is a delay in the whole program.while I want printing on backhand and others users to have access to the program.

I'm trying to write a function that takes two linked lists and creates a third one with only the common elements.

It assumes the first list (the caller) has no dups, but it doesn't seem to be working. The program doesn't crash, it just hangs when it is supposed to display L3 (the third list)..everything else runs and is displayed fine.

I have a linked list comprised of chars like so...

I need a function that will take in three perameters...node *replaceChar(node *head, char key, char *str)Stipulations of this function. head is the head of the list, 'key' and 'str' are guaranteed to contain alphanumeric characters only (A-Z, a-z, and 0-9). str can range from 1 to 1023 characters (inclusively). So if I call this function with these perameters..

InitializeNArray<4, bool, NARRAY>()(narray, {1,2,3,2}, true);

is supposed to initialize a 4-dimensional std::array a with a[1][2][3][2] = true.

The commented-out line, which is the desired recursion, does not compile for some reason, and the problem third parameter cannot be deduced. So I placed some temporary lines to work in the special case only. Howw to make that recursion work?

How can I concatenate two 2-dimensional int arrays into one larger 3-dimensional array. This question is also valid for the 3-dimensional vectors. I know the command for the one dimensional vector as:

std::vector<int> results;
results.reserve(arr1.size() + arr2.size());
results.insert(results.end(), arr1.begin(), arr1.end());
results.insert(results.end(), arr2.begin(), arr2.end());

and for the one dimensional array as:

int * result = new int[size1 + size2];
copy(arr1, arr1 + size1, result);
copy(arr2, arr2 + size2, result + size1);

But I do not know how to make a 3-dimensional array or vector.

What is "if(prev)"? Wouldn't "prev" always have the same value? Secondly, if tmp is NULL (which will be the case when the loop if(ptr->val == val) finds a match the first time it is run), is *prev assigned a NULL?

When I am traversing a linked list ...i suppose we can do it only with pointers

like p is a head node pointer then

p->next->next
p-next->next->next

so on represents a link...

if i have to pass head node as struct variable itself...can i traverse a link using dot operator??

p and p.next and how to retrieve third and remaining links through this method if we can traverse like this???
