C :: How To Account For Different Number Of Chars In Array Of Names

I am trying to make a for loop that will print out chars in an array while using a #define before main. My problem is that each name has a different amount of chars in it. How do you account for that when you are trying to define a size? For example, I am playing around with the numbers and I just put 7 in for size:

Following function is from a bank account, when new account is created it won't store it in the array or i guess it does but find_acct function wont be able to find it.
find_acct Function:

As a part of a program I am supposed to write, I would like to receive a string from the user (for example: "Hi my name is Joe").
obviously, the string is inserted to an array of chars (arr[0]='H', arr[1]='i', arr[2]=' ',... and so on).
What I would like to do, is to put each word separately in each array cell (for example arr[0]='Hi', arr[1]="my"..., and so on). How can I do this? (I can not use any functions, unless I write them myself).

I am receiving a max of 50000 bytes from a socket.
char packet1[50000];
recv(Socket, (char*)&packet1, 50000, 0);
What is the best way to read those bytes? Let's say I need to see if bytes 14-15 and byte 16-17 equal each other.
Only thing I can think of is to create a buffer array of 2 chars, and feed the bytes into those and compare them. Is that right?

I'm trying to right the function that puts the correct letters in the right positons being reported from my previous compareletter function for my game of hang man and its not updating the word in progress array. Here's my compare letter function that's working correctly:

I am trying to write a function to save the state of a tic tac toe game. It seems to be working well except the loop to read the chars in from a .txt file is running 18 times instead of 9 and thus overwriting the array with blank boxes. The code below is the part of the function I am having an issue with. Counter is being increased every time the second for loop runs which should be 9 times. However, it is apparently running 18 times with the first 9 runs filling newBoard correctly and the second 9 times overwriting it with boxes. how to fix it?

i have a vector of stores. i would like to delete the specified choice(store) from the list. Here is what i have but my erase statement is wrong and wont compile.

I am trying to create an array of file names such that when I want to open one of the files, who's name is given in the array, I can call that element of the array. My code for making the array is the following,

I'm trying to read names separated by a comma using array.
For example, the expected input would look like the following:
Juila,Francisco
Adams,Wong
I know you can use getline function and set the delimiter to comma. So like ....
getline(cin, lastName, ','); getline(cin, firstName);
But the program only read the last name and ignore the firstname.

I want to create 2 functions to (1) convert a passed string into proper case (capitalize the first alpha character of a string and every alpha character that follows a non-alpha character); (2) sort the array of names (after it has been converted to proper case).
I tried these two:

I'm trying to do is write a program that fits to a separate test program. The test program provides different size vectors that my function should try and binary search. If the element is found, the function should return 1, and if the element is not found, it returns -1.
Here is the code:

The problem is that one of the vectors my function is supposed to binary search is a vector of size 0. I tried to throw in an if statement that would return -1 if the size was == 0, but then the program never fully completed and just kept running. So, how can I account for a size 0 vector in my function?

So I'm trying to fill a vector with pointers to account objects.

where the caret symbol denotes 'to the power of'. One way to calculate the power is by repeatedly mulitplying. Ie, you can mulitply 1.06 with 1.06 12 times to calculate 1.06^13.
PART 1
Design and implement a function that raises X to the power Y for a real number X and a positive integer Y. The function must use a while loop.
Design and implement a main program that calculates the sum availble when 1000 pounds has been put away for 25 years with 5 percent interest.
Change the while-loop in the function to a for-loop.
