I have a FTP server, client program and thus I can easily transfer files, however what I want is to modify the program such that server receives a c/c++ file, compiles the output, and sends a text file back to the client containing the output. The program should also take note that errors are also transferred.

While I was trying to compile simple c program, I saw this virus alert:

Problem: When I add a new variable to complete my program, it crashes. I have tried tracing where the problem is but it leads to adding new variables
Purpose of program: Every 2 lines of the input file belong to 1 participant. The line with decimals include times a person has run miles. While the second line of each participant are integers that indicate the best sets from workouts the participant had done.
so an example of the output
Participant #1
Cardio Workouts:
Best Time:
Worst Time:
Average Time:
Weight Workouts:
Most Sets:
Least Sets:
Average Sets:
Participant #2

Why my program is crashing

int main () {

How to I write this statement?
In my program, the DWORDs are treated as unsigned long, so that They are 64-bit "DWORDs" instead of 32-bit ones...

If I wanted to add an emergency stop to an elevator programme should I use an if statement? Eg
Code:
If (emergency stop) {
Void main();
}
Or something along those lines?
My program has a goto label in it and when the program is not instructed to goto the label, it does. When control goes to the line that it is on, even if no where does it say to execute the label's content, it does execute it.

The code as follows:
#include <cstdlib>
#include <iostream>
#include <cstring>
#include <iomanip>
using namespace std ;
int main() {

I am trying to compile a c program for sudoku. I have declare const instances as global variables, but when i try to compile the code it says that my declarations are not constant, here is some of the code.
#include <stdio.h>
#include <assert.h>
const int GRIDSIZE = 3;
const int GRID_SQUARED = GRIDSIZE * GRIDSIZE; //this line
const int ALL_VALUES = (1<<GRID_SQUARED)-1; //and this give//the error
int board [GRID_SQUARED][GRID_SQUARED];
It's a tic-tac-toe program. I haven't finished doing everything I need to for the project, I'm just trying to get certain parts working as I go.
Anyway, my problem: The program will print the board and ask the first player which square they want to mark. Then it will print the updated board, print the question for the second player to input their square choice but not actually stop to let the user enter anything. Instead it prints the board again and then prints the question for player one again -- this time stopping to let them type in their choice.
Here's my code:
#include <stdio.h>
// Function prototypes
void printBoard(char board[3][3]);
int main() {
int quit = 0;
// Loop so game continues until player quits
[Code] .....
And it looks like this when I run it, as an example:
-------------
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
-------------
| 4 | 5 | 6 |
-------------
| 7 | 8 | 9 |
-------------
Player 'C' enter a square: 5
-------------
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
-------------
| 4 | C | 6 |
-------------
| 7 | 8 | 9 |
-------------
Player 'U' enter a square:
-------------
| 1 | 2 | 3 |
-------------
| 4 | C | 6 |
-------------
| 7 | 8 | 9 |

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am writing a program which creates a set of coordinates that when plotted will reveal a syastro crescent moon character. If you imagine plotting a crescent moon as two circles with different radius, where the overlap will create the shape. The problem I am having is how to just plot where they overlap ( ie the crescent moon part) and no the rest of the circles. How can I impose a boundary to stop the program creating coordinates I dont want. My first attempt is an if else loop.

i created a windows service that will run another program. but the program i want to run has a gui and i don't want the gui to be visible, i just want the program to run in the background.
But i have to do it without editing the gui program
here's my code:
Code:
TCHAR* path = L"C:Myfile est.exe";
STARTUPINFO info = {0};
PROCESS_INFORMATION processInfo;
ZeroMemory( &info, sizeof(info) );
info.cb = sizeof(info);

i tested this code with notepad and it runs notepad in the background without displaying the window but when i try run my program it doesn't work. i don't know why its works for one program and not the other..
I'm working the 4th problem in chapter 14 of the Jumping into C++ book. In the book, he gives an example program for dynamically resizing an array while the program is running. It works fine for integer types but i need to do the same with a string type array. Right now my program is crashing because the string array is not resizing itself. Here's the part of the code im trying to figure out. The part for the int array has been ignored using // since it works fine and I'm trying to figure out whats wrong with the string array.
Code:
#include <iostream>
#include <string>
//Write a program that lets users keep track of the last time they talked to each of their friends.
//Users should be able to add new friends (as many as they want!) and store the number of days ago

So i compile fine, but when i run my program, after the printf it just segfaults (core dumped)...
Code:
#include<stdio.h>#include<string.h>

The assignment is to write a program that statistically computes similarity of C syntax with another program; a same and a different. The one used here is in C language, it's called Battleship.cpp. The program must open a file and read line by line for keywords and then produce statistics. The reason my code is not running is the fopen function is failing and it goes to return -1. I am using MS Visual Studio 2013 and there are no compiler errors after turning off deprecation. I do see, however, this error UMEngx86.dll'. Cannot find or open the PDB file. The file being opened is in my source folder.
