if possible i want avoid the '&' when i assign the variable address.(variant2 f=varname;//like you see i don't use the '&')
for the moment i just need put the address to Variant pointer. but i receive several errors .
I need to initialize a pointer variable with a knowing address. See code below, ptr is the final destination and value of ptr_address contains the address value, so I need to do something like ptr = *ptr_address.
Code:

The problem is that compiler gives the following warning message:
warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a cast [enabled by default]
Is my code wrong or there is any other way to do it without receiving this compiler warning?
recently I developed a class header only in C++ to deal with byte arrays. Since I developed programs in other languages that had some libraries to dial with byte arrays, I developed one that the syntax is very similar to other languages.
Since I'm not very familiar with memory management, I was concerned about somethings I've read about (ex: memory fragmentation).
The class is intended to be used as part of comunication protocol in a webserver, byte arrays are created and destroyed a lot. Should I use pools? Is there a better practice? Am I doing everything wrong (laugh)?

Look at case 2, which the user supposed to key in a new input, the problem is the value will never got into main function, I don't know what should I modify with the function.

(Without putting them in public because it was a part of the question to create the data members in private).

i am trying to create the assignment operator for a class that uses a pointer for it's private variable. The error is saying expected constructor, deconstructor, or type conversion before "operator. (which is the assignment operator. I have tried everything i could think of or find online and nothing has worked. below is the code for the assignment operator in the .h file and the .cpp file.

Why can't you just do:

I'm trying to write a simple Delegate class with a Bind() and Invoke() function. For now it only needs to support a void class function with no parameters. I've searched around and found quite a few exmaples, though, those class are heavily templated and I lose track trying to simplify it.

The part I am having difficulty with is assigning &Test::DoSomething to the m_Callback variable.
&tObject::DoSomething works, yet _Callback which I pass &Test::DoSomething to does not work.
Why does the following code compile and execute without any error? I mean, the function compareid should get 2 arguments so why does the compiler not complaining, is it because of the type of arguments?

I chose a to be 5 and it displays the following:

Process returned 23 <0x17> execution time : 1.031 s".I first saw this when trying to display the address of a pointer. Am i missing something? I used to run this code on dev-c++ successfully but after a day or so of practice, it's not working anymore. I switched from dev-c++ to code blocks.
