C++ :: Unable To Upload A File To FTP Server With Curl
Aug 6, 2014
I'm trying to upload a file to a FTP server with curl. The problem is that I do not know what to do after I enter the passive mode and open the specified port. I tried to send data with curl_easy_send but it simply hangs.
bool Ftp::Upload(const char *local_fn,const char *remote_fn)
{
int ret;
string ip;
unsigned port;
SendCmd("TYPE I");
// Enter passive mode and get IP & port
if(pasv(ip,port)==false)
return false;
[Code]...
How to send file to the server. And I also suspect I should tell the file size to the server.
I managed to upload a file to a remote server with below code:
Code: // Get the object used to communicate with the server. FtpWebRequest request = (FtpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("ftp://kasunl.worlditsme.com/voo.txt"); request.Method = WebRequestMethods.Ftp.UploadFile;
i have to upload a ms access database file to the server from my client program. The server program should connect to this database and read the data. What's the easiest way to upload the file? Is it FTP? i tried sockets, but it only allows like 9kb of data transfer capacity.
I develop a software using QT 5 open source IDE. Now my question is two-fold:
1. How can I create the final executable file that I can upload for my users? I understand that runtime DLLs shall be required and I have tried Enigma Virtual Box software for bundling runtime files. It does create the file that I can execute from any folder in my PC. However, surprisingly when I transfer that "boxed" file to another PC, it does not run. Both the PCs have Windows 7 installed on them.
2. Secondly, I see possible future issues with Antivirus Softwares. Apparently when I try to run the boxed exe file, it gets rejected by the Antivirus Software on my PC. Is there a way in which I can get my exe file verified/checked/registered by the Antivirus Softwares so that my users don't face any problems in executing the program.
I cannot afford the QT commercial licence, but I am prepared to buy any economical "setup file generating" software (if it exists).
I am having a lot of trouble trying to save and upload a data table from a text file ,the data table which is bound to a datagrid, creates its own columns at the formloading event, and everytime a user clicks a button row is added to the data table. With the loading i put this code which i thought would read a text file and put all the content my datatable however a exception pops up saying Duplicate Name exeption. Heres the loading piece of code :
{ string filePath = Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.Desktop) + "\DG1.txt "; if(File.Exists(filePath)) { StreamReader reader = new StreamReader(filePath); string line = reader.ReadLine();
I have an application which is used for calibration for electrical components. Here I want to set a rootpath for this application. I did some research and I found out that I can get the rootpath of the application (that is where the exe is stored) But what I am really looking for is once I start the application the root path should be what I assign. For instance currently the root path is "C:UsersPublicDocumentsABC.ToolsProjects" but I would like the root path to be "E:New ABC" Is this possible? I wrote some code where I call the exe of the application and it opens the file in a folder that I specify :
I'm trying to make a program that will use Curl to retrieve just the text from a website and store it as a string. I'm trying to look at the curl manual to figure out what I need to use, but I'm confused since I'm not familiar with HTML terms. What lib functions I would need to make this program?
I have to make a server-client file transfer using UDP . I have created a basic server which receives message sent by client . That's all. Now comes the major part :-
1. The message sent by client is the name of file .2. Now the server checks whether there exists this file or not . 3. If there exists it sends the file to the client and it also keeps the count of the number of requests of file made by the client . Here is the Server Code
The server reads the data from file and writes into it and send to the client , On the other end client receive the data and make duplicate of this file and write into it. But on compiling it gives error in reading the file.
I am trying to write a c code for a server that recieve msgs from a client and put that msg in a log file dedicated for that client along with the msg reception time and client IP address.......
The log file must be created if it doesn't already exist.....
Here is a code that i wnat to customize and it already opens a communication channel between server and client......
Here is what I got so far, I am not able to send whats in the txt file to the server. Its pretty much a txt file with movie names and when the client types the name, it brings up the movie and its ranking (all from the txt file)

I have done a test, I have edited with the WordPad in Windows on my Local Webserver a file banana.h which contains a list of float arrays in order to extract one array and create a text file named ObjVerts.txt I have done a lot of search in the Web in order to find a small piece of code that can read the text file and convert it to a float array GLfloat, but I did not find any. I have found a lot of piece of code that read the file and make a NSData but many of the code seem to not work. It seem that the last statement return nothing!
I want to write a single line to a file and upload it as a .txt file to a server directory . I know the traditional way to upload a local file to a server
Currently I'm working on a application which reads the input from the server and write to a file. Message stored in server : idle_message="维杰PC时钟" key_prompt="在按键"
Server will send a xml reply with encode type as "UTF-8". In my code I'm store in a char array. [ char * ch = "idle_message="缁存澃PC鏃堕挓" key_prompt="鍦ㄦ寜閿" msg came from server and copied from vs2005 watch point] After this I'm writing the same to a file in my desk using the API WriteFile. When i open the file in Editplus below is the content.
idle_message="维杰PC时钟" key_prompt="在按键" Again I'm trying to read the file and storing into the char array. Below is the content viewed by the watchpoint in VS2005.
idle_message="缁存澃PC鏃堕挓" key_prompt="鍦ㄦ寜閿? I'm trying to find the starting and ending chinese char and I'm converting that char to wchar_t using the API mcstowcs() for display, its coming as completely junk chars.
I can able to every place the chinese char are different. how to overcome this problem.
I have a client/server program. My Client process spawns my server process using a `fork()` and `system()` call. The client and the server are meant to communicate to each other through named piped, that is a requirement of my homework. The client and the server are supposed to initially send a message to the other one, through a pipe, to confirm that a connection is made. My issue is that my client is trying to open one of the named pipes before the server has a chance to make it. This doesn't always happen though. Occasionally, it will run fine. Is there some way to synchronize this?
My overall goal is to get a filename and search target from the user, send those to the server through a named pipe. And the server searches for the target and sends info back.
OUTPUT:
Client: PID 2986 - Running on Tue Sep 30 20:59:28 2014 Client: PID 2986 - Enter File Name: largeSampleText.txt Server PID 2988 - Running on Tue Sep 30 20:59:32 2014 Server: PID 2988 - Synchronized to Client.//This means the client-to-server fifo is working There was an error opening serverToClientfifo//This means client couldn't open the server-to-client fifo error is: 2//This means the fifo doesn't exist yet
[Code] ....
CORRECT OUTPUT:
Client: PID 2542 - Running on Tue Sep 30 20:58:44 2014 Client: PID 2542 - Enter File Name: largeSampleText.txt Server PID 2557 - Running on Tue Sep 30 20:58:54 2014 Server: PID 2557 - Synchronized to Client.
[Code] ....
RELEVANT CLIENT CODE:
int main() { char requestedFileName[1024]; //Get initial information on the client pid_t clientPID = getpid(); time_t currentTime = time(0); char* stringTime= ctime(¤tTime);
[Code] ....
I tried creating both of my fifos in my client and my output changed to this
Client: PID 3150 - Running on Tue Sep 30 21:23:17 2014 Client: PID 3150 - Enter File Name: largeSampleText.txt Client: PID 3150 - Enter Target: Server PID 3153 - Running on Tue Sep 30 21:23:21 2014 was Client: PID 3150 - Input File >>>largeSampleText.txt<<< Client: PID 3150 - Target >>>was<<< Client: PID 3150 - Synchronized to Server Server received unexpected connection message Message: was Terminating
So It appears like the client went ahead and put `requestedFileName` and`requestedTarget`into the pipe and the server read out `requestedTarget` instead of the connection message. Not sure why though
Reading a .dat file, i'm unable to open the file. This program is for a Air Quality index detector, the AQI machine records the particle concentration every minute and saves it into new data file for each day. So I need to make this program run every minute and convert the concentration in to the AQI readings.
The filename is of the format "ES642_2013-11-09.dat", where ES642 is the software name of the machine, and rest is the year, month and day. The code here is just for the file reading section:
Code: #include <iostream> #include <fstream> #include <string> using namespace std;
'test.exe': Loaded 'C:UsersPcDocumentsVisual Studio 2010Projects estDebug est.exe', Symbols loaded. 'test.exe': Loaded 'C:WindowsSysWOW64 tdll.dll', Symbols loaded (source information stripped). 'test.exe': Loaded 'C:WindowsSysWOW64kernel32.dll', Symbols loaded (source information stripped).
[Code]...
The thread 'Win32 Thread' (0x2d0) has exited with code 1 (0x1).
The program '[6040] test.exe: Native' has exited with code 1 (0x1). my code is not wrong but there is an error which ı dont understand ...where is my error?
