C++ :: Generate Two Arrays From One Big Array?

I am trying to generate two arrays from one big array, of which the sum of the 2 array's elements are as close to equal or equal to each other if possible, or one array summed up minus the second array summed up will be as close to zero as possible. I start with int array of 30.
It says that the lowest possible combination of one array minus the other is 239 which I know is not true. Also this needs to run in under ten minutes.

I'm currently working on assignment which requires to generate a random permutation of the first N integers. For example, if N = 4, one possible answer is {3,1,2,4} without duplicates. {3,3,2,4} is not correct
to fill a[4], generate random numbers until you get one that is not already in a[0], a[1], ..., a[n-1]. for a[0] whatever random number you generate can be put in it. So here is my code. It seem to works but sometime it give duplicates.

My program generates an array of random numbers. I want to then search a specific number within the array. If the number is in the array then a message apopears on the console saying that its there. I'm using the binary search algorithm to do this.

When you have constant arrays, they are stored in the programme memory space. Upon execution, they are copied into the data space for easy access. To save space in the data space, it is possible to stop it from being copied. Some compilers will deal with this by just specifying the array as const, g++ has a type modifier called PROGMEM.
In any case, the problem is that I'd like to generate some data, preferably without using an external programme to do it. Hence, my question using the template system. Now I could possibly use macro metaprogramming via boost instead of template metaprogramming, and I may have to go that route. However there are limitations, especially since its numbering system is only equivalent to an unsigned byte, which I possibly could use, but could become more messy than if I use the template system that has long long types as well as a whole slue of type safety mechanisms.

The code below will generate combinations of numbers from 1 to 25 in an 15 numbers array. The only filter I've applied is that the sum of all the numbers in the vectors divided by 15 needs to be between 13 and 14.
I would like to count how many consecutive numbers there are in one combination, so that later i can apply another filter.. for example:
1 3 4 5 6 8 10 13 14 16 17 18 19 20 25
3 + 4 = 1
4 + 5 = 1
5 + 6 = 1
13 + 14 = 1
16 + 17 = 1
17 + 18 = 1
18 + 19 = 1
19 + 20 = 1

Count = 8, in this case..
I think it's not very difficult to do, but i just can't see how to do it.

I wanted to do this: Accept a line of input from user and save it to an array1 and copy its contents to other array in a set of arrays and then input another line to array1 and then copy it to next array in the same set and so on.... I know it is confusing but I can put it like that I want to create an array of arrays (Set of arrays). How can I do so?
I wrote a code to input the line in an array and tried to copy it another array of pointers, but pointers are just addresses so the same adress is copied again and again so, all the pointers of the array point to one address only. The code doesn't print anything when I try to print all the lines that were saved.

I am trying to do this:
Read a text file which is like:
2
2 10 1 2 7
3 8 3 7 7 10 7
The first line indicates how many paths exist in my design.
The second and third lines are those lines(the first number indicates 2 pairs, so 10,1 and 2,7 are 2 pairs)
The first element in the third line indicates 3 pairs and the pairs are 8,3 and 7,7 and 10,7.
I have been able to read the text file and store these into ONE array. However, I need to divide them up and have each line in a seperate array.
So for example
array alpha to contain 10,1 and 2,7
array beta to contain 8,3 and 7,7, and 10,7
How would you do this?

I am puzzled with the strange behavior of my code below. The code has an apparent error but the results are correct. I am trying to put two arrays (chara and shuffled) into a third array join. The first 10 elements of 'join' should have the elements of 'chara' and the second half should have the elements of 'shuffled'.
You will note that in the second For loop, I am using 'chara' instead of 'shuffled' but when I print the contents of 'join' I am getting the correct numbers.
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,
On the other hand if I replace 'chara' with 'shuffled' in the second For loop, I am getting incorrect results.

I'm working on a homework assignment that asks me to roll two die a user given number of times, find the roll sums, and a few other things. I'm working on it one module at a time and I'm running into two big problems so far.
The first problem is that my int variable rolls changes to a number within the random number generator range of numbers after I run rolldie. I got around this by making a const equal to the user entered value of rolls just so that I could continue developing the program.
My second problem is that the values of the arrays resultsOne[] and resultsTwo[] are changed after running findsum(). Why this is happening and I even tried passing them as const, but that changed nothing. We just started learning about passing arrays to functions, so there might be something big that I'm missing.

So first I have to display a 2D array with all 0s, which is pretty easy.

Next, this is where it gets confusing. I have to create a virtual creature by storing a letter into a random position in the array (the array can be up to 20x20 in size). Then make a function that searches the array for creatures, so it would search for that character. When it finds a creature, it should randomly decide to either move the creature to an adjacent position, or have it stay where it is. After, it should ask the user to create a new creature, or quit.
So how would I go about adding & modifying the current code to achieve what is listed above?

I define "Comwords" as a string, but apparently it takes the members as chars, then I can't set strings in a structure equal to the chars.
I see to also be having unknown problems with the ComMAL array and loading it values into another element of the same structure.
How to correct this? I was thinking of casting char elements as strings, but could find no reference in my library book regarding how to do that (lots on casting int's a doubles...)

Using a for loop, construct two 100 element arrays, x and y, such that element i of x stores the value sin(2*pi*i/100)) and the corresponding element of y stores cos((2*pi*i/100)). Print the values stored in the elements of x and y as you calculate them.
I have attempted to solve it but I'm not sure why the value 0 is only being printed, maybe I haven't assigned sin(2i/100)) and cos((2i/100)) to the arrays properly?

Why do we name it row instead column?
int arr[row][column]
Wouldn't this be like
int arr[4][5];
for (int(&column)[5] : arr){
for (int &row: column){
}
It just seems funny to me because we use row[5] which should be 4 if we meant row? Or did I read it wrong in C++ prime !?

I am a very very beginner at programming with C. Well, basically i have to generate a real number between 0 and 1 (which as the same as from 0 to 100 k and than dividing everything with 100 k).
Why I am constantly talking about 100 k? Because I would need approx 50 000 random numbers between 0 and 1. My code currently looks something like this:
