Where I am stuck is putting the numbers into the string array. For example, Bill's scores should be set up as Bill's scores should be set as

My main issue is that when I store just one value into a simple integer variable, it gives me a big negative number.
My goal is to store a file that reads like this into arrays:

etc

The problem deals with writing a program to geta series of integers from a user and storing those values into an array. Then use a function called selection_sort, when given an array with n elements, the function must sort the array from smallest to largest values.

Just run a loop through each of the indexes in the guessarray and assign 'M' to them randomly.

Is there an easy way to compute the indexes given the value? For example, I know that the first index can be found by dividing the value by 9.0: Code: const int firstIndex = ceil(value / 9.0) - 1; What about the second and the third indexes? I couldn't find a pattern in the numbers, and I didn't want to iterate through the matrix (the indexes will be calculated many times).
The other option is to create arrays where the values will be indexes and the matrix indexes will be the values. I'm not sure if it is the best way though

Becasuse SQLExtendedFetch() is deprecated I used SQLFetchScroll() but the behavior is the same from my interest point of view.
Usally, I get the right information about indexes but in one situation I encounte a strange behavior. It's about having a clustered index into a scenario.
When Field_1 is Non-Unique, Non-Clustered and Field_3 is Clusted index I get the right information.
But if the index Field_1 is Clustered and the Field_3 is Non-Unique, Non-Clustered I get no information about Field_1 index (eg. szIdxName and szIdxColName are "" and their length is -1 that means SQL_NULL_DATA). So, I have no Index information. Within while loop, with the next iteration I get correct information about the second index Field_3.
I'm not sure whether the problem is with SQLStatistics, the bindings or SQLFetchScroll (they all always return SQL_SUCCESS). It looks like a problem with the driver when the first index is clustered.

I am working on the game of fifteen.Yes this is home work. I was wondering if it is possible to save the indexes of an element in a two dim array. How difficult would it be to program a hash-map system where each "key" can have multiple values under indexes?

is it possible to do this. i am trying to get 6 different numbers stored into 6 elements of an array . this is the piece of the code i think there is a problem with. ie my program scans the numbers and then crashes at this point so think it could be something to do with the commented line?

For some reason the integer array, arr[100][50], declared in main is not storing the correct values when passed through the function charArrayToIntArray.
I made an output right in the function to show how the array is not keeping the proper values, although when I output the array from within the loop in the function, it shows the correct values.

The aim is : If i have a natural number [max 5 digits] (say) n=13579. Then a[4]=1, a[3]=3, a[2]=5. a[1]=7. a[0]=9.
I start with a[4]= n/10000 .. then n= n - a[4]*10000;
then a[3]= n/1000. .. n= n - a[3]*1000;
i.e a[i]= n/10^i .... n= n - a[i]*10^i;
To reduce code size i used a for loop. The code is free from any syntax errors.
Its the "output" that is weird. I enter 13579 and what the program process is:
a[4]=1 a[3]=3 a[2]=5 a[1]=8 a[0]=5
Same goes for other numbers too.. leaving the most significant digit , the rest digits are just out of the logic!!
I am using CodeBlocks 12.11 and compiler is GNU GCC compiler.
