View 1 RepliesI'm trying to write a continuous linear linked list. But whenever I run my program and enter an option from my list, my switch statement gets highlighted in green and says "Thread 1: breakpoint 3.1. And then my program just stops. I'm wondering what part of the switch statement I've gotten wrong.
Here's my code.
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
struct node
{
int key; node *next; };
node *l;
void print(node*list)
[Code] .....
I need to write a program to make the user input some text, and the first letter of each word has to be uppercase. (have to use while loops)
So for example lets say the user inputs:
i lOvE pRoGrAmMiNg
The output needs to be:
I Love Programming
Code: int main()
{
char c, lower_c;
printf("Enter Text");
while (c != '' && c >= 0)
{
if (c >= 'A' && c <= 'Z')
lower_c = c + 32;
else
lower_c = c;
[Code]...
I have started this code by making the letters lowercase (I don't know if this was the right way to approach this, ). I am not sure how proceed after this step, the step of making the first letter uppercase. (PS for the program, loops should be while loops)
In my code, I wanted to write log exception to some file.
So I created a Utility class & wrote a static method in that to write log message to file.
public static void WriteLog(string message) {
using (FileStream fs = new FileStream(@"c:log.txt", FileMode.Append)) {
using (StreamWriter streamWriter = new StreamWriter(fs)) {
streamWriter.WriteLine(message);
}
}
}
This works fine so far but I fear if two methods call this function simultaneously.. what will happen? Also, I want to access this same Utility library in my other "WEB" projects... will it work there too?Or else.. what will be the best way to log exceptions in any project?
How we can make another thread sleeping ?
As you know, Thread.Sleep(Timespan) function makes the current thread sleeping, but i want to make a specific thread sleeping.
Is there any way or trick to make a program that executes without using any class or class concept

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have three tables (company,department and employee). Company table has two rows (CompanyID, CompanyName). Department table has four rows (DeptID, DeptName, CompanyID, EmpID). Employee table has three rows (EmpID, EmpName, EmpAddress).
I want to search by Departments For example I want to have one Checkbox named Department if I checked Department it should show me all the available departments in the Company so if i select a particular department it should show me all the employees that they belong to the department that has been selected.
I want to send control codes for Epson printer with c# application, I wrote some code, I have the connection with the printer, but when I am sending codes it not responding. On the other side, I found Java application for sending control codes, from that app some of the codes is working but not all of them. For example I want to use ESC EM 66 control code but when I am sending this code, printer not responding or just print the code in numbers.
The code who I use is:
class Program {
public const short FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL = 0x80;
public const short INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE = -1;
[Code]....
When I am using the method GetDocument() printer is not responding, but it prints only text when I call the buffer variable:
lpt.Write(buffer, 0, buffer.Length);
I want to open one new CMD from console application, write text into the new CMD and then coming back to the control on the old cmd. (like interactively working on the both)
look into the below code
Process P1 = Process.Start(@"C:WINDOWSsystem32cmd.exe");
P1.StartInfo.RedirectStandardInput = true;
P1.StartInfo.RedirectStandardOutput = true;
P1.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
StreamWriter wr = P1.StandardInput;
wr.WriteLine("First line in New Cmd");
Console.WriteLine("First line in Old Cmd");
wr.WriteLine("Second line in New Cmd");
Console.WriteLine("Second line in Old Cmd");
it is giving the exception "StandardIn has not been redirected"
I've got a calendar in Form 1 in my code, and buttons in Form2. I need these buttons to send codes for this calendar in Form1. How may I make these work? My friend told me to do a function as a new class, but I'm not sure how can I do this.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI need to create a GlobalConfig class. But I want to derive from it in another class.
Here's an example:
public class BaseConfig {
public string GlobalPath {get; set;}
}
public class ConfigA : BaseConfig {
public string pathA {get; set;}
}
public class ConfigB : ConfigA {
public string pathB {get; set;}
}
The idea behind is that I don't want to write the code multiple times and what's more important in class ConfigA I want to set GlobalPath and have access to it in ConfigB.
In other word I want class ConfigB to have a property GlobalPath which was set in class ConfigA.
To clarify I want to have only one object of Config in memory.
When I set BaseConf.GlobalPath to 'A', I want to access it from ConfigB.GlobalPath and also get 'A'.
I always design GlobalConfig as a static class, but static classes can't be inherited. So I tried to implement Singleton Pattern, but ConfigA can't find constructor of class BaseConfig because it's private.
Windows service not able read file from network even after giving UNC path whereas works fine when given local directories ....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am busy with a project, it is going to consist out of 3 different windows which is logic enough for this whole code to be interactive.
It must be able to pull data into a windows form, displaying it into a textbox, and when you click on the textbox it needs to open up another window where you will have a windows form that will display data as the code loops through the questions in the database.
I am not sure how to push the data that has been selected on the database to the next window..
Here is my code for the first window:
;
namespace WindowsFormsApplication1
{
public partial class Form1 : Form {
//SqlConnection myConnection = new SqlConnection("Data Source=(local);Initial Catalog=KnowledgeEssentials;Integrated Security=SSPI");
//int intType = 0;
public Form1()
[code].....
With the second window the data in the table needs to be displayed and each row from the table needs to have a checkbox next to them, so that if the check box is checked, the relevant information of the checked row will show up in the 3rd window... so MY question is, HOW do I pull that data from that specific database and let it show in the listcheckbox?
I know I need <math.h> and I know how to write tan(10) or whatever I need. However I need angles, like 100 / tan10 = 567.13. The 10 is degrees.
I am doing a fun project now that I feel more confident. However my textbook only shows me how to use the math library and only shows a few trig functions.
I am applying Trigonometric Functions to see if a car is speeding.
For instance Code: int counter;
counter =0;
FILE *pfile;
pfile= fopen("g:myprog.txt" "w");
while (counter >100)

I can only write one value to file:
get all, say for example barcode
char* bst:: get_bar(hwareItem*& root){
while(root!=NULL){
get_bar(root->left);
[Code]...
gets only one value depending on traversal orderI wish to get all values of BST
I am trying to display my name using outfile vs. cout and I get errors I don't know how to fix. Here is the code:

#include <iostream>
#include <fstream>

int main() {

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was following a c# book to write a WPF with a textbox. When the textbox is selected(got focus) with keyboard or mouse, it will select all text in it. I followed the book and wrote this:

TextBox1.SelectAll();
} private void TextBox1_PreviewMouseLeftButtonDown(object sender, MouseButtonEventArgs e) {
var control = sender as TextBox;

The book said having "e.Handled = true" is to stop the event in order to prevent the cursor being positioned on somewhere of the text instead of selecting all text. From my understanding, "e.Handled = true" is for stopping routed events. Is this means that something will run if "e.Handled = true" is not there? If yes, then what is it?
i am having some trouble with a piece of code im writing for class.
here is my code
for (j=7; j>=0; --j){
putchar((name[i] IF_STATEMENT);
write(1, " ", 1);
I am trying to use write to format my output so that it looks like this
0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0
The formatting works fine when i use printf("%s", " "); in place of write but for some reason when i use write the format comes out like this
00000000
I dont understand why this is happening. Does write always work outside of a for loop or something?
#include <iostream.h>
#include <conio.h>
int main ()
{
cout << "Hello World";
getch();
return 0;
}
In the above code, why is it necessary to write getch() and return 0? What is their purpose?
so i have this dll with a DBTProc, whenever a window gets created i want to write something in a log file. Now everytime I run it it adds three times the text in this log file, but then it does nothing anymore. I do hear a beep everytime a window get created so it doesn't actually open my file to write in
code:
LRESULT CALLBACK CBTProc(int code, WPARAM wParam, LPARAM lParam)
{
if (code < 0)

I just started by defining a stack class (stackDouble). I need to write a program that accepts an infix calculator expression, with the following operators (**, exponentiation, /, division, and, -, subtraction. The operator precedence is exponent, division, and subtraction.I need to use a stack of doubles and a stack of strings, of which I can write two classes, or write a single stack template. The user will input the expression just via cin, and there will be a # before every number, a ! before each operator, and a . at the end of the expression. '#', '!', or '.' can be input into a char variable, numbers into a double variable and operators into a string variable.
For example, the following would output 6:
# 3 ! / # 2 ! / # .5 ! ** # 2 .
As stated above, I already made up a stackDouble class. What would I need to do to create the other class (I don't think I want to do it with a template)?
Code:
#include <iostream>
#include <string>
using namespace std;
class stackDouble{
[code]....
