I need to write a function with an array parameter and an int parameter.

That array has to be filled with first 10 prime numbers that are exact or higher than the int parameter... and then i need an average value of those 10 prime numbers...

The problem is im not really sure how i should do the part to fill the array with prime numbers that are higher than that int?? So any code samples that does that would be really nice... (the average part shouldnt do much problems i think, so i only need for that array fill...)

I have an array of structure that takes family information (name, age, and state) after it takes the users input it prints back all of the information that was input and then prints the family members that just live in Texas. After that I am trying to implement a function to average out the ages of all family members but I cant seem to get it right, whenever it gets to that part of the program it just outputs 0. I also tried adding an & sign prior to FAMILY[i].age and got an error of int from ptr with no cast.

Also I realize that the code only shows adding of the family members ages which is fine for now as I am concentrated on getting that to work in the first place.

I'm having some trouble printing the duplicates found in an array. Specifically, when the value is at more than 2 positions. So if the value 3 is at position 1, 10, and 11 it'll print three messages instead of two:

value 3 at position 1 is also at position 10
value 3 at position 1 is also at position 11
value 3 at position 10 is also at position 11

instead of

value 3 at position 1 is also at position 10
value 3 at position 1 is also at position 11

This is real simple problem, but I can't seem to figure it out. I've been trying to implement another array to 'remember' the encountered position, but I haven't had any luck.

I need to print all the values in a square 2d array that are above the diagonal line. So if I have this 6x6 array for instance:

{0,0,0,0,0,0},
{1,1,1,1,1,1},
{2,2,2,2,2,2},
{3,3,3,3,3,3},
{4,4,4,4,4,4},
{5,5,5,5,5,5}

I'd have to print the elements in italics. I've tried this:

with the array mentioned above but for some reason it keeps printing the elements BELOW the line, when I need it to print those above it. I know that for arrays we usually start loops with a value of 0 but seeing as there should be nothing to print at [0,0] I started the loop at 1.

I was going through a book I have about C trying to learn about arrays, and one of the first few examples of what could been done with an array was showing how to use an array to generate a list of prime numbers. I've been staring at this program for about an hour trying to understand how it works (it does), but the workings of one for loop within the program.

So that is saying in order for this loop to go on, really two conditions must be met since there's that && operator. isPrime must be true (I think that's what it means by just having "isPrime" and not setting it equal to anything) and p / primes[i] must be greater than or equal to primes[i].So at the beginning of the loop, since i = 1, p = 5 (as per surrounding loop), and prime[i] = 3 ( as per the variable assignment at the beginning of the program ), the loop condition would be "isPrime && 5 / 3 >= 3"

"5 / 3 >= 3" The loop should stop right there! 1.666666667 is NOT greater than or equal to 3!

How would I go about counting the number of times a factorial has a specific prime number?

For example, 5! = (2^3)*(3^1)*(5^1), 6! = (2^4)*(3^2)*(5^1).

How would I begin to design my find_prime_count function in order to count how many times each occurs? My program is to read in a number between (2<=N<=100) from a text file and output the results exactly like above which I still have to figure out after, I'll assume I have to use fscanf.

i'm trying to determine if a number from a file is a prime number using pointers first I wrote a function that determines if the number is a multiple of 7, 11, or 13. Then i wrote a function to see if the number is odd or even. Are they correct? Later i will print the results on screen but i'm extremely confused with pointers and i'm not sure how to write this prime function...
