I was recently introduced to the fstream header file. I want to know is their a easy way to print an output with append data in a .txt file.
And secondly I am also having an error with my header file. It says error: cannot open source file "fstring" when I hover my mouse over "#Include<fstring>".
I know this is how you read from a file. I also want to print my output to the same name of the file plus ".txt". So if my file is called "text" I want to print it to a file called "text.txt".

I am having a problem using fprintf. I have a function which flips a coin. Heads prints a text to the screen. Tails prints a different text to the screen. My problem is getting the result to print to a text file.

I've created a text file with the numbers from 1-450. After writing code to retrieve and print out the contents in the text file, the compiler only printed out the numbers 124-450. Is there a reason why this is happening?

my text file is
0.0 0.0

1.0 0.0(but it read until here)
0.0 0.0(suppose to read the last point which is here)

Bit of a problem, I'm trying to output the data from my code into a particular format to a text file. The format is

[URL] when I try to write my output to a file. I am building a life insurance premium calculator with c++. What my calculator does is read in a text file called "policies.txt" containing a number of different policies. For example:
Pol1 M N 20 100000 1 .04 99
Pol2 F S 30 100000 1 .05 99
Pol3 M S 72 750000 1 .03 99
Pol4 F N 45 1000000 1 .05 99
And using this, it creates a single premium. Once the calculator calculates the premium of each policy, I want it to write out the premium amount of each policy to a textfile called "output.txt". The problem is that when I check my "output.txt" file, only the premium for the last policy shows up. It only reads:
Premium for Pol4 is 220384
When I want it to read:
Premium for Pol1 is 14101.6
Premium for Pol2 is 14221.2
Premium for Pol3 is 582391
Premium for Pol4 is 220384
How come only the last policy is showing up? and is there any way to make all four policies appear in my output text file? Here is my code:

how I can make my output only have 2 decimal places because I want it to be a monetary value. In my code I used this:

which worked well at first because on my command prompt screen the numbers had two decimal places and looked liked this:

However, I also have the program outputting to a textfile called "output.txt" and when I opened this text file the numbers only had one or no decimal places.

How come the code for two decimal places is working for my output to command prompt but not my output to the text file?

I'm supposed to read a text file and display it in the output. I have it down except my formatting. I just cannot get it to just skip one line rather than multiple. I know why though because my char has a max of 11 and if I put a character lets say mango, it is going to fill in the rest with white spaces. It's supposed to display like this:

Finally got to functions. Made a simple one that adds two numbers:

It refuses to give an output unless I use cout.
If I just call the function like so: "add(12, 24);", shouldn't it print out a+b=36? It only prints out "a+b=", unless I use "cout<<" ahead of the call.
My simple question is why does it need cout ahead of the call? Shouldn't "return" do its job and print out the number?
i just started learning programming and i just wanna know how come when i try to print the last digit of a number the output always become 6?

I wanted to take the averages of the whole week and output a print statement. I've tired few ways this like assigning "temp" a pointer, or in each if statement assigning temp to a new variable like a, b , c etc. Then adding them all up at the end and dividing by 7. My issue is I am unclear how to store the number typed for each if statement while the program is running, then have it compute the simple equation. The code in question is below:

I am using borland turbo c++ version 4.5 and for printing a coloured output i used textcolor() but it is showing error that call the undefined function 'textcolor' in main, so what can i do now to print a coloured output???
